There was an economic boom following World War 1. There was also economic prosperity experienced by many countries during this age. The 1920s saw foreign oil companies begin operations throughout South America. It was also characterized by the rise of radical political movements. The roaring twenties brought about several novel and highly visible social and cultural trends. The era saw the large-scale adoption of automobiles, telephones, motion picture and etc. In many Western Countries women gained the right to vote.
