The Roman civilization once stood as the best civilization on Earth, about 2000 years ago. Rome conquered so much land, won so many wars, and stood for hundreds of years. They were sophisticated and help make so many things, we still use today. Forms of government, architecture, and religion were all major things thousands of years ago, to today. Rome played a big part in what we do today, and the world would be much more different (in a bad way) if it wasn’t for Rome. In this slideshow, we will show you the legacies of what Rome left behind.
It is commonly believed that the Roman Empire fell in 476 C.E. when barbarians invaded Rome, sent the last emperor of Western Rome into exile, political instability, too much land, and many other faults in their system, but did it fully fall? Anyone who visits this topic can argue that Ancient Rome never actually fell. In Crash Course: Fall of the Roman Empire, John Green said, "In some ways, [the Roman Empire] still survives today." This quote means that the Roman Empire didn’t actually fall fully, but still survives in present days. This essay will show how the Roman Empire still lives today in engineering and architecture, and in language and writing.
I truly agree to the statement of Fareed Zakaria on why political polarization has gone wild in America. He said over the last few decades, the rules of organizing American politics have changed. This is in regards to the changes in congressional rules that made it more difficult to enact large compromise legislation (Zakaria, 2011). This is the type of problem, we as citizens of this country and the nation will compel to face if no changes will occur.
Rome was a great civilization that we got many ideas from. They eventually fell but left their mark in the list of great civilizations. They had three main reasons of why they fell and those were foreign invasions, weak military, and weak leadership.
The important thing about Rome is its legacies and theories for the Fall. One legacy of Rome is its sewer system. The purpose of the sewer system was to drain water from the city when it would flood or to remove water from the streets of Rome. The system carried mostly water instead of waste, since the toilets in Rome weren’t connected to the pipes of the sewers. The sewers were also shaped like a keyhole. The sewer system connects to the U.S because our sewer system today are used to drain water and rainwater too. The U.S sewage system is also used to carry waste. A theory that caused the Fall of Rome is environmental and public health problems. Deforestation occurred in Rome due to demands for more

The Roman Empire was one of the most influential civilizations of all time and they left a mark not only during its reign but also during its decline. Roman architecture styles are still very much in use today as is their government style. However, their fall was what impacted the world the most; this fall is the reason today Christianity has so much influence on western culture and why Europe is separated from the rest of its continent. This fall caused a massive decline in the living standards and the people who had once walked the streets of Rome were left with nearly nothing. They took up farming, like their ancestors long before them and did so in exchange for protection.
The Roman Empire was possibly the most successful and influential empire to ever exist. The empire’s success was a result of military conquering extending throughout most of southern Europe and northern Africa. After overcoming the opponents Romans would inhabit new territories and instill their culture upon the unwilling new citizens of Rome. Had Rome not won battles such as Lake Regillus
