Meaning of life
The meaning of life for everyone is different. Some people turn to god or science to look for their meaning others simply don’t have a meaning of life. Like those who live every day as it were there last. Others think that the meaning of life lies in god. Those people are the ones who go to church everyday. They spend all their time trying to follow the bible and what the church says. They try to be good all the time and try not to sin so they can get into heaven. All thought I am a christian and believe in god my self I think that’s kind of dumb in a way because we don’t even know if god really does exist. And all the time we spent doing all those things to go to heaven would have been a waste if we end up dying and there

Like going to a job you don’t even like. This can lead to many people thinking there is no meaning in life. But I think in finding a meaning in life we have to find our purpose in life too. A lot of people don’t find a meaning in life until they have a near death experience. Then they start to appreciate everything they have and everyone they have in life. There are two types of people the first one is the one who would live an eternal life. The other one is the one who would actually want to die, but leave their mark on earth before they die. The second person probably thinks they have the meaning of life figured out because they know their purpose and want to be known after they die. But personally I would rather live life for eternity instead of leaving my mark on earth. And this all ties back to the question what is the meaning of life. Personally I think there is no meaning in life.’’life has no meaning. Each of us has meaning and we bring it to life. It’s a waste to be asking the question when you are the answer.’’joseph campbell. So what’s the point in finding the answer when we are the answer like this quote says. But this is what i think right now as a highschool student my mentality could change over time and with more life experiences i might actually find a meaning in
“If a man hasn’t discovered something he will die for, then he hasn’t got a reason to live.” These were famous words of the late Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., spoken June 23, 1963 in Detroit, Michigan.
Life, it might be argued, is the distinguishing feature of all organisms and may most usefully be thought of as involving various kinds of complex systems of organization providing individual organisms with the ability to make use of those energy sources available to them for both self maintenance and reproduction. Underlying this deceptively persuasive definition, however, lie those persistent traditional problems inherent in the search for an essential, distinctive substance characteristic of all forms of life. Additionally, as evolution theory makes clear, there is the problem of borderline instances, organisms of which it is not easy to say whether or not they may be defined as being alive. One such case
Everyone goes through life. It 's weird, to think about the meaning of life. What is life? Why am I here? What is my purpose? Why do we die? It may sound morbid, but these are realistic questions. It is impossible to answer these questions, but to shed some light, this quote from Dr. Suess explains the overall point in life. "Don 't cry because it 's over, smile because it happened." Which leads to the topic that life is about getting to Point B from Point A, but the journey and road to our goals, achievements, accolades, moments, events all create great memories. We must make a lasting impact before we die, that is why we have the drive to live. Treat life as a candy, it 's not going to last forever, but, if you can eat that candy in the most savoring way then you can leave a nice taste in your mouth. Dr Seuss in his story Oh, the places you 'll go!. Seuss proves that there are many destinations in life, one after the other. The point is, that the journey there leaves a mark.
The meaning of life is to find the meaning of life. Is it not? We all go through each day trying to figure out which road out the infinite amount of paths will lead us in a better direction where happiness is prominent and society is flawless. However, not every single human being is going to fit on that narrow, one-lane highway to success. Bad choices, accidents, fate, family matters, society, temptation, anger, rage, addiction, and loss of hope can all be deciding factors in opting to choose that wrong path to self-destruction. The adverse thing is, once you've traveled so far down the road, you get so discouraged that you feel like you can never turn back or make up for the "lost time."
The meaning of life is similar to a person building something. If a person collects wood, buy tools, and then proceed to hammer the wood together, we can assume that the creation is going to be there for a reason. He or she may be building a house, or a storage building, etc. But none of us would suggest that the man is building it for nothing. Any reasonable person would logically conclude that the man has a purpose for his creation. It was created with purpose in mind.
When I was young, I used to spend my day pondering over the purpose of existence. My family wasn’t rich, conflicts happened every time between adults. There were no allowances for me and the most I would get after receiving a perfect score was a “Good job”. Watching my friends going out for dinner with their parents or showing off new toys wasn’t a very pleasing experience. To my perception, the point of life for grownups was to struggle for money, which, well, makes the family happier. However, after a simple chess game in a nursing home with an old man named Kramer, I discovered something that had greatly affected me.
Most people have a hard time figuring out how they find meaning in life. Do we look beyond life to find fulfillment, or do we look within life to find its meaning? Society suggests that we are supposed to grow up and discover what is considered to be our purpose in life and what ways it can be found. Some people believe that the meaning in life is only found through God. They believe that nothing in life is meaningful, only what happens in the afterlife is what really matters. Other people, like myself, look within life to find its meaning.
the meaning of life truly is. For some people, their purpose in life is to have a well-paying job
What gives human life meaning is different for every individual. Some believe the meaning of life is found in love, and the bonds forged throughout one's adolescence as well as adulthood. Others find meaning in art, and the ability to create something completely new and original with one's own ideas and talent. Others still believe life is based on religious duty, and live their every living day believing that their ultimate salvation is formed based on the actions that are pursued in this life. I, however, believe that the meaning of life is in acquiring wealth and prestige through hard work and having an industrial spirit; these attributes of industriousness give me meaning, and the fruits of my labor are observable by others.
In Modern science it states that Scientist have told us that the existence, which emerged from a random interplay of chemicals and gases does have meaning, but it’s of a rather bleak, restlessness, and narrow sort: for humans and other living things, the meaning of life is Survival and the propagation of genetic materials made to survive. The Meaning of Life. (n.d.).
The question of Meaning/Purpose is that one question that everyone ponders in their lifetime. What is the meaning of life? For the Christian, the meaning of life is having a relationship with God, serving others so that we have eternal life. This is accomplished through Jesus Christ. We can reference Acts 4:12, John 1:12, 14:6, and 17:3 all explain how we reach God through Jesus.
My few years on this planet have been a bit confusing. I have learned of many aspects of life from which one can draw meaning, if indeed such meaning can be drawn. I have also learned that there can be no singular meaning of life to stand for us all, or even any one of us. What I have learned above all is that trying to put words to the meaning of life is a task of absolute absurdity. This is not to be confused with the idea that life has no meaning, for life certainly has meaning. However, there is no single meaning of life to be defined - life is different for us all. Therefore, rather than define life for an entire planet, I shall try to explain what life means as I perceive it, and why it means so.
What is my purpose in life? What is anybody’s purpose in life? That’s a question that we all deal with, why are we here, what is the point of life? There is the thought that are purpose of life only known by Allah(God). That he has chosen it for before we were ever born, and that part of the reason is to be here for someone else. If I would have asked this three questions to my dad all the time and he would answer with “Only Allah knows.” Simple as that and he would then ask me what my thoughts were and I would reply “I have no idea, Bubba” Back then I really had known idea why am here, or what am supposed to be doing. The purpose of life cannot be defined in a manner that most people would agree accordingly. Every individual has a different outlook on the purpose of life. I have an idea of what the purpose of my life could be but I do believe that we are not supposed to know our full reason of why we were chosen to exist. This changed when my dad passed away last year as it commonly does when people experience death of a loved one. It started a whole new way of my thinking process. I believe that everyone is given a gift/talent and they are to use it to the best of their abilities. For instance, for me I am very intuitive and can read people pretty well that simple talent has already showed that it has changed someone’s life because a friend of mine was severely depressed and I did not know it at the time but the simple act prevented her from taking her own life. I truly
The end of Ecclesiastes says that in the end all that matters is to ‘fear God and keep his commandments for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil” (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, English Standard Version [ESV]). The whole world is searching for meaning to life yet it is summed up here at the end of Ecclesiastes, which informs our view of meaning in life as well. In this life, God determines meaning for me, and in this life there are things such as family friends and the Bible that are more meaningful than others.
“What is the meaning of life?” This a question that we hear quite often. Many people search their entire lives looking for the answer. It is a question that has stumped philosophers, humbled the wise, and opened the imagination of our youth. On the contrary, a question that we don’t hear as often would be, “what is the meaning of death?”. In order to answer this, we have to notice the fact that life and death are two separate things that work cohesively in two ways. The first is that one’s life is what will make their death so meaningful. We also see the opposite of this, where one’s death is what makes their life so meaningful. This is seen when looking at Jesus’ life and death in the book of Mark. Contrary to the believe that death is
