For the opening credits, the song “Reach” best fits the beginning mood of the book, Radical. The beginning portion of the book depicts a man's sacrifices to get close to god. This particular song shows the struggle you must go through to achieve your most prized possession. As a Christian, this song explains the struggle you must fight to not give into temptation and succeed in life. Overall this song was picked to show the authors mentality on sacrificing all for god.
“Puddles of Tears” best fits the song because you need to put what others say aside. “Puddles of Tears” depicts a man's sacrifices to overcome others for what he believes. This song shows that you need to do what you think is best for others. Personally I believe that you must not only be your own hero but you must have a greater hero to guide you. Overall this song shows that you must sacrifice it all for what you think is right.

In the story the pastor had just returned from Asia where the church was discreet and small because it was illegal. When he returned he noticed that the church he preached at was a million dollar church with people going their not only for god but for their own but for their own prosperity. In the song they describe meeting between the two houses just like how the preacher wanted to meet in the sense that everyone knew why they were there and it was for one and only one reason like in Asia. Overall this song shows that you must find a common ground where not only you but the others are
Ever since fourth grade, one of my best friends have been Taylor Elam. Over the years that we’ve been friends we’ve had some jokes. My mom loves Mexican food; Taylor used to not like mexican food very much. Whenever our families would go out to eat, my mom would suggest something mexican. Whenever mexican was suggested by my mom, Taylor would respond “of course Hope wants mexican,” and whenever someone would ask where we were going to eat Taylor would say, “Hope wants mexican!” which we would always laugh about.
I chose this song because, in my opinion, it has a good thesis that backs up the song lyrics and it gives you a positive feeling. Basically, the song is telling us to always keep our faith and stay strong no matter what. It encourages people to
The song that I chose to write about is “Now that we’re men” by Spongebob sSuarepants, The main topic in this song is that two young males have taken on a big challenge to prove that they are good enough to be called men. In this song Spongebob and Patrick are both going after the crown that Plankton stole from King Neptune. A few of the best quotes in the song are; “Get the crown save the town, and Mr.Krabs”, “ we’re tough enough to save the day now that we’re men, “they’ll pass the test and finish the quest for the crown”. The first quote is powerful because it shows how much them stepping up is meaning to the whole town and Mr.Krabs. The second quote is very meaningful because it is telling the listeners that once you become a man there
Listening to the lyrics of your favorite song you automatically start to have a connection with that song. Then the song starts to represent you and your life because of the lyrics. Some songs show about being a fighter, having freedom, or just being you. There's a billion of songs out there and there's a billion of people who connect with those songs. Usually the most common reason why some songs represent people is by their past experience. For me some songs represent me because I decided to follow my dreams, living in the moment, and get right back up.
Church’s song “Homeboy” takes the form of a pep talk by a satisfied rural farmer to a prodigal son wandering astray through urban culture. Church thinks that he’d be better off drinking a beer, baling hay, and hanging out with his high school
This is an appeal what happened to Langston Hughes it plays on the emotions to be ‘saved’ by god to stand up and be saved. The evidence is ‘that night I was escorted to the front row and placed on the ‘mourners’ bench with all the other young sinners, who
My story has a meaningful story behind it. The story is deep for me and even for the artist and probably for many other people. Hearing songs like this can inspire you. It inspired me to be thankful for the people in my life. One day they can be here the next they could be gone. You never know what’s going on in their lives.
Although “the journey of a thousand miles begins with a step”, this specific step is extremely hard to take considering the amount of courage it takes a youngster to decide to face the world on his own. The obvious questioning in the song’s chorus whether it actually is time to begin is a result of fear and hesitance the singer was undergoing at the time, something I can completely understand as I experienced similar emotions during the time I made my decision. It cannot be any more true that “The path to heaven runs through miles of clouded hell right to the top”, something that has terrorized my thoughts and haunted my dreams for months as I was leaving my parents’ house to live the life I chose for myself. I still question my decision every day, I still wonder why I could not settle for something that wouldn’t require me as many sacrifices. It’s Time came to tell me that the struggle will always be there and that it should not be enough to keep me from following my
The song "Que Sera Sera" has transcended time in the delicate echoes of musical history, becoming a marker of the shifts, evolutions, and revolutions that have shaped our society. Two distinct renditions of the song exist, each reflecting the spirit of its era. In the 1950s, Doris Day's rendition of "Que Sera Sera" emerged, casting a tender glow upon the uncertainties of life with lyrics like whispers of reassurance. A young girl, curious about fate's twists and turns, seeks solace from her mother's comforting words: "Que sera sera, whatever will be will be. " It was a time of post-war optimism, where the promise of tomorrow shone bright amidst the shadows of the past.
In addition to the musical element, the vocals in this song are strong and passionate. Starting off is an
0:00- The beginning of the song we hear a very slow tempo. There are a piano and digital effects. The beginning is marked by a piano solo that creates a very dramatic tone. The digital effects help build up the suspension before the singing begins. The piano accompanied by the digital affects gives the beginning of the song a polyphonic texture. The beginning of the song is important because it builds up the suspension and evokes the emotion that the person was feeling.
"Heroes" is about how you can do anything, including being a hero, when you're with the one you love. This is one of my favorite songs because of the meaning of the song. This is a medium tempo song with a happy/sad genre. My next favorite song is "Sorrow". "Sorrow" is about how a girl treated him very badly but he still likes her. This song has a slow tempo and is a sad genre. I like this song because of the instruments and the lyrics used. My third favorite song in Chameleon is "D.J". I like "D.J" because of the lyrics. This song is about a D.J who has lost his job and isn't doing well in life but he feels as though he still has a priority to his "believers". My favorite part of the song is when he says "I've got believers, believing me,". This song has a fast tempo and a happy/sad genre. I say this because he's happy to see people dancing but isn't satisfied with his
The tone is yet another area that should be examined when trying to fully understand a song. In the olden days, the tone is the attitude towards the lyrics. One tone is assertive because when Demi Lovato singings “Cause this is my ground/and I am dangerous/and they can get out/But it is all about me tonight” (Lovato 23-26), she wants people to feel assertive of the skin they are in and the life they have. Another tone is candid because people have to be able to be candid about them. The lyrics have a candid tone when Demi Lovato sings, “So you say I am complicated/that I must be outta my mind/but they have had me underrated/rated, rated” (Lovato 14-16). The International Encyclopedia of Depression states, “Depression in childhood, compared
When the church fell down, symbolically, it was Sargeant who fell. And when the Sargent got up and started walking, Christ was walking beside him. At this moment Sargent finds comfort, approval and company with Christ. Imagine roaming around a neighborhood with no one to talk to, no family, and no friends, and because of Christ's presence he is no loner anxious about when and where he is going to eat. Although this part of the story was based on a dream or
In conclusion , I chose this song because it makes me want to do something nice for humanity; it makes me feel like I can do something nice in different countries and can be remembered for it. While writing this essay someone came to my mind and it was Nelson Mandela, because he can actually relate to this song. He did a great thing in South Africa and he will forever be remembered for changing South Africa and becoming the first black president in South
