National Journal’s annual Washington in the Information Age (WIA) research provides an exclusive, in-depth look at how Washington Insiders consume media today, the roles different channels play in their day-to-day policy work, and how these roles are anticipated to change in the future. WIA measures responses among about 1,200 Washington Insiders from Capitol Hill (13%), federal agencies (34%), and the private sector, which includes NGO’s, lobbyists, communications experts, etc. (53%). Meg Greenfield was a well-known editor of the Washington Post and wrote her own analysis of the way government officials in Washington interact. This analysis was written in the final years of her life. The book, was titled Washington. Greenfield offered an interesting perspective having been a witness to decades of activity with many of the nation’s political leaders, and her book offers readers a look at what actually goes on inside the government. The book was published in 2001 by PublicAffairs. It is 228 pages but has an additional 30 pages describing Greenfield’s personal background and career written by one of her colleagues. This gives readers understanding of Greenfield that is imperative to understanding her book.
The trust within political parties is constantly evolving. People in their perspective generational classes may not be synonymous and there are variations of peoples trust within political parties. The research will be analyzing the differences of generational trust within political parties. The generations being reviewed includes Baby Boomers, Generation X (1946-1980) versus Millennial, Post Millennial Adults (1981-2000). The attitudes about politics vary between these groups of people due to age, class, race, gender, and socioeconomic levels.
I have chosen to analyze the topics of trust and politics through the United States Citizenship, Involvement (CID) Survey. The paper is composed of four segments; theories and hypotheses, data and methods, findings and discussion.
