What Makes A Good Life?

In order to answer the question, “What is required to live a good life?”, Aristotle proposes that a good life for human would be the maximum realization of the function that was unique to humans. In my interpretation, Aristotle refers to a good life to an individual is communally self-sufficient, and a good life is related to other external forces. A person is considered to have a good life if he isn’t placed in any unfortunate circumstances such as illness or diseases or isolation. I don’t fully agree to Aristotle’s answer. It is true that the external forces such as unfortunate events might effect on a person life. However, a good life, in my opinion, is the perspective of viewing the life. I always believe that my happiness depends on my own thinking, and my thoughts are based on mainly my reasons in any situation. For example, I once was late for an extremely important test in my high school due to an accident on the way to school. I was involved in that accident which led to my lateness. Some people would consider it’s a bad luck, and that an individual couldn’t pursue happiness if his life is affected by bad luck. I, in other hand, don’t agree with that. I believe that a person who is able to reason well on his own circumstances would be able to approach a good life. The more I could realize my own ability and maximize my own strength, the more powerful I could control my life.
