People with the personality of ISTJ are often people who are looked up to and known to be trustworthy. These type of people are very factual based and like to stick straight to the point. This is why they are known for being very efficient workers, when a plan is laid out for them and instructs them of which tasks need to be done in order to complete it is when they get the most work done. Someone with this personality would be one that does not give that much personal information out to people they don’t know really well and won’t show too many emotions. Having an ISTJ personality can be both good and bad when working on group projects. Seeing as this type of person doesn’t like to share too much, a lot of information that they might come
The dominant function of the INTJ personality type is introverted intuition. This has played a crucial role in my (albeit rather short) professional life. Ever since I was a toddler, I wanted to become a veterinarian. All of my actions were carried out primarily with this goal in mind, to the point where it was obsessive. I never considered taking any other career path.
In the ISFJ personality the letter “I” represented me being an introvert. Introverts tend to be more closed in and often think about things before acting on them. Introverts would choose reading a book over hanging out with friends. Introverts, like myself, prefer alone time more often than others. I show this common characteristic very often. A lot of my family and friends often worry that I am too introverted and should get out more. In my career, I have always enjoyed one on one task versus group assignments. I always took pride in completing my tasks alone and in a timely and accurate manner. Introvert is a definite fit for my personality. "Good introductory paragraph
Each type has unique gifts and talents that can be used in different occupations. ISFJ personalities are practical and motivated to provide for others in the careers that they choose. The ideal work environment for this personality type is to work alone on projects, work with known facts, use standard procedures, work in a friendly and relaxed environment. Careers that are suggested for someone with the ISFJ personality are interior decorators, nurses, administrators, managers, child care professionals, counselors, paralegals, religious workers, shopkeepers and office managers. Personally, I want to work in the Biotechnology field developing cures for sick children and adults. I would love to find the cure for cancer and lyme disease. If I can make a difference in someone’s life I will then be satisfied with what I do for a living.
I have taken the Myers-Briggs test many times over the years and the results are always in the ISTJ (Introvert, Sensing, Thinking, Judging) area. I am the epitome of the Dragnet's Sgt. Joe Friday character; who is credited with the phrase “Just the facts, ma’am.”
As requested, I took the Jung Typology Assessment. The results revealed my personality to be ISFJ (Introverted Sensing Feeling Judging). The first characteristic listed is the desires to serve others. An ISFJ is loyal, sometimes taken for granted, bad at delegating, but produces superior quality work. Methodical, accurate, and possess an excellent memory are more characteristics of the ISFJ personality type. They work well in a small group and make reliable coworkers; however, they tend to be awkward in a supervisory capacity. Not only is an ISFJ a great employee but they are extremely family oriented and dedicated to their intimate group of friends. If a friend or family member is in need of emotional support an ISFJ is by their side without
In the Myers Briggs test, I received the letter combination “INTJ”. This is someone who is an introverted, intuitive, thinker, and a judger. The careers suggested for this sequence was a nurse, counselor, and a manager. This allows me to work with my own ideas and philosophies. When I must work with people, they will be intelligent people who can work at my level. I can be very inflexible and single-minded.
According to the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), I am an ISTJ personality this means that I am an Introvert, Sensing, Thinking, and Judging person. ISTJ are very faithful, loyal and dependable. We are also reserved people who are interested in a secure and quiet life. ISTJ’s place importance in being honesty and can be trusted to do the right thing for their families and friends. There are some weaknesses to being an ISTJ personality we are stubborn, insensitive, and judgmental. This test is amazing it really nailed my personality.
Amari quickly walked to the front desk being sure to steer clear of the rowdy students and looked for the pocket labeled ISTJ. She picked up the packet and walked to her seat. She read over the packet and found out about what they say is her “so called” personality. The packet stated, “As an ISTJ, your primary mode of living is focused internally...ISTJ’s are quiet and reserved individuals who are interested in security and peaceful living… ISTJ’s are very loyal, faithful, and dependable…” the packet also exclaimed her strengths and weaknesses. Amari looked at her strengths, it stated, “ An ISTJ has a stick to it attitude… value for social structure… respect for rules and orders… their desire to execute known systems against concrete facts.” She then turned the page to learn about what they assume as an ISTJ’s weaknesses. The packet exclaimed, “ISTJ’s weaknesses… Tendancy to belive that there always right… There value of structure seemed rigid to others… Not likely to give enough praise or affirmation to their loved
After taking the Myer-Briggs Type Indicator test, I have discovered that I have the ISTJ, The Logistician, personality type. First, as with other personality types, there are many strengths and weaknesses of having the ISTJ personality. ISTJs write best when using facts and data and struggle when developing personal thoughts and opinions. When looking over my previous essays, I noticed the best ones are either research papers or essays involving little commentary on the subject. Therefore, the test is right in that my best works are written concretely. Next, ISTJs can write close to the deadline of an assignment. This is true because I write best when I have the pressure of the assignment being due soon; thus, I come up with fake deadlines
Based on the personality profile I completed in class my personality type is ISTJ, Introverted Sensing Thinking Judging. According to various sources on personality types ISTJ's are often referred to as "Inspectors". I agree with a lot of what I have read about my personality type. ISTJ's often give the initial impression of being aloof and perhaps somewhat cold. This is perhaps one of the truest statements about me that I have seen. Many people find me to be cold and standoffish if not conceited and stuck-up. I prefer spending time alone, or with a few close people rather than go to parties, bars, or clubs. Very often when I go to the mall or other chaotic places I am over stimulated and overwhelmed by the people and the
With my personality type being ISFP, I have learned that I am able to collect a large amount of information at one and that I am able to think before I speak. I would strongly agree with this personality type. I put other people’s feelings before my own. Another thing I have learned is that I should find a job where I am able to work with people and find a job were I will be able to make good use of my ability of being able to understand facts. My possible strengths would be to make being feel comfortable and valued.
An introverted intuitive thinker otherwise known as an INTP personality type is who I am.
To begin, I took the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator assessment. This assessment has been a reliable source for documenting personality and focuses on four dimensions of personality: extraversion or introversion, sensing or intuition, thinking or feeling, and judging or perceiving (Ledlow & Coppola, 2014). Based on my results, I would be categorized as ESFJ (extraversion, sensing, feeling, judging) personality type. ESFJs focus on the outside world and assess their experiences subjectively. They largely base their judgments on their belief system and on the effects of actions on people. ESFJs are literal and concrete, trusting the specific, factual information gathered through their physiological senses. They are often skilled at bringing out the best in people, and they want to understand other points of view. They are serious about their responsibilities, seeing what needs to be done and then doing it. Generally proficient at detailed tasks, they enjoy doing little things that make life easier for others. ESFJs seek structured, controlled environments, and tend to be good at creating a sense of order. They value the rule of law and expect
The INFJ personality is known to be the world rarest personality type and often misunderstood. This type stand for a percentage of less than 2% of the overall world population according to Holm (2009), the majority of that percentage being female and some famous INFJ that can be named are Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King and Mother Teresa. My INFJ in academic and business milieu: from the past week assignment, my preferred four letters chosen base on the instructions received from Myers-Briggs type indicator were INFJ, which stands for Introverting, iNtuiting, Feeling and Judging. For this week assignment I was very surprise after taking the Jungian test to discover that my personality type fours letter were confirmed to be the same INFJ. Having my conformed INFJ profile means that in business milieu, my creativity and sense of responsibility come in first. Although as an INFJ I’m strongly introverted, I nevertheless highly care about my relationship with other individuals. At work I’m open to communication and always available when it comes to help colleagues to carry out on tasks or explaining work procedures. However, my personality type also implies that I can have sudden need for personal time away from others, which is my way to recharge and regain my energy. In an academic milieu, I’m more focus on setting and reaching my goals; I get motivated by planning in advance my studying weeks and do a lot of efforts to meet my assignment deadlines. I can get emotionally
Everyone has a different personality that determines their patterns of behavior, thoughts, and feelings. Myers Briggs have determined that there are sixteen different personalities among people. Upon completing the short questionnaire, I have been assigned the logistician, or ISTJ, personality type. In the past, I have completed other personality tests when I was trying to decide on a major that most fit me. These other quizzes also resulted in this personality classification.
