Was World War Two entirely the Germans fault?
Was it really all Hitlers fault for causing World War two? Or were there other factors that helped provoke him to help cause the war. World War two had the most devastating outbreaks in history to this day causing over eighty million people to die and lose their loved ones. Although Hitler was one of the main causes of the war, he definitely doesn't hold all the blame. Two major reasons for him causing the war was because of The Treaty Versailles, and The Great Depression.

The Treaty of Versailles was a peace settlement signed after World War one on June 28, 1919. The main three or better known as the Big Three, that were involved with the treaty included David Lloyd George, Georges Clemenceau and Woodrow Wilson. The main objective that the Treaty of Versailles advocated was that Germany should be brought to its knees so that they could never start a war again. But the worst part of the Treaty of Versailles was that it was primarily a French-planned out destruction of Germany's chances of competing in the modern world. Its motive was to limit Germany’s industrial capacity, give up its colonies that were distributed among various countries, give huge amounts of money back, and limit the size of there military, just so that the French would not have worry about Germany ever threatening them. With all that occurring Germany would never be able to rebuild themselves back to normal. Twenty years later Britain wanted it
Adolf Hitler and his actions are the cause of World War II. “Those who want to live, let them fight, and those who don't want to fight in this world of eternal struggle they don't deserve to live, ” by Adolf Hitler. This is an important quote since Hitler believed in the power of war. His parents died when he was young, so he went into the army very young and fought in World War I.
The treaty of Versailles was a treaty signed at the end of World War I by Germany and the Allies. United States, Great Britain, France, and Italy negotiated the treaty at the peace conference held in Versailles beginning January 18, 1919. The treaty reduced Germany’s armed forces to very low levels and prohibited Germany from possessing certain kinds of weapons, it also established Germany’s liability for reparations. The treaty was supposed to ensure peace and help Europe recover from the war. In my opinion the treaty did not help with any of those two subjects.
The treaty of Versailles was the peace settlement signed after World War One. The treaty was signed in Versailles Palace near Paris-hence its name-between Germany and its Allies. The three most important politicians were David Lloyd George (Britain), Georges Clemenceau (France) and Woodrow Wilson (USA) also known as ‘The Big Three’.
As I’m sure most people know Adolf Hitler was the leader of the Germans from August 2 1934 to April 30 1945, but do you know that as Fuhrer of Germany he was the driving force behind the start of WWII. During his reign he tried to bring Germany back to the powerful country it had been before the First World War. In this paper I will prove that Hitler’s actions lead to start of WWII, and I plan to prove how his direct disregard of the Treaty of Versailles pushed the world into WWII.
Hitler is 25% responsible. He was a very intelligent man, when he had an idea he stuck with it and would go through absolutely anything to make sure that his plan turned out exactly how he wanted it to. He was smart and determined. In this case his plan was the Jewish Question, he strongly believed that the jewish people were inferior and that they were going to destroy the country, he also believed that they were the reason why Germany lost World War One(Bullock "Hitler, Adolf (1889–1945)"). Hitler was not taken seriously until the great depression started in 1929, people were desperate and it made something like listening to Hitler’s deranged ideas more rational. The majority of Germany was scared of a communist revolution and they thought that Hitler would be able to stop it(Bullock "Hitler, Adolf (1889–1945)"). So they liked the idea of Hitler being of high power and they did in fact show that when they supported him being Chancellor. After Hitler became chancellor he started taking out his opponents one by one. Not only did he kill the majority of his opponents but he managed to get the police and power of state under his control, and his control only(Pierstorff “Was Hitler Democratically Elected?”). After all of this he was the full-blown dictator of Germany. But all of this didn’t satisfy him, he wanted more. One of Hitler’s attributes was playing on the weaknesses of others, he began taking the other European countries over one by one. But this soon turned to chaos because not everyone was
In war there are 2 different stories to the side of the war. Great Britain in the war was going against the Germans and their view point was different. Britain were the ones winning the war before it was ended. The U.S. joined in at the end securing the victory for the allied powers. Woodrow Wilson brought his idea of the 14 points to Europe which Great Britain disliked. They did not like the 14 points because they would not be given credit for wining the war. Great Britain believed that since they won the war the credit should go to them, it would only be fair. Under the 14 points it also say's that there will be no more colonies. Great Britain was excepting more colonies for them since they had won the war. This is a surprise to Britain and did not like the ideas that Woodrow Wilson had came up with. When they treaty of versailles was composed the laws were very different. Germany was blamed for the war which was implying that Germany were the losers of the war. The treaty was also intended to take away colonies except Great Britain and France were able to keep their own. This was because they were the ones composing the treaty and made it good for themselves. It turned out that since Great Britain was such a major power in Europe that they made the rules. They were the ones making the decisions at the
World War II is argumentatively one of the largest events in war history. World War II changed that world and everyone who lived during those six years. Many people believe that Adolf Hitler was the central cause for the war, however, it is important to understand that there are many other causes. These include: Treaty of Versailles, Fascism, Hitler and the Nazi party, the Great Depression, and appeasement. It would be extremely difficult to place blame on only one specific person or event for World War II. However, a mixture of many things can and may however hold the blame for World War II. It is crucial to understand the impact that World War II left countries throughout the world, especially since only eight countries declared neutrality during this wartime. Even though only eight countries remained neutral during WWII, it does not mean that every other country in the world was heavily involved in the world. Even countries who were not heavily involved in the war, were still effected by the war itself.
The Versailles Treaty was when the Big Four countries met together to see what could be done to help end the war and for it not to happen again. These Big Four countries were the ones that controlled the negotiations and made the decisions, people could make suggestions, but it was up to those countries. These Big Four countries were Britain, France, Italy, and the United States. These states were trying to get their wishes to come reality, and hopefully not starting another war. This leading to Germany becoming very weak and without a way to fight for a very long time, which was about 20 years. The Treaty of Versailles was actually a very big contribution for starting World War II.
The Treaty of Versailles was a major event in the 1920’s that was largely responsible for the events to follow, including the rise of Hitler and World War 2. Woodrow Wilson came up with a fourteen point plan of how to end the war with fairness and lasting peace. Germany was willing to accept the consequences because they trusted the treaty would be based off of Wilsons’ plan. Unfortunately for Germany and her allies, there were meetings with the four main allie leaders at Versailles to determine the final terms of the treaty without them. These men were determined to punish Germany, excluding Wilson, and hold them completely responsible for World War One. The consequences for Germany were unreasonable and unfair because Germany was not able
The Treaty of Versailles was a peace treaty between the five nations who fought, as a settlement to World War I. The treaty was officially signed in 1919. The French Particularly made the treaty unfavorable for Germany in order to prevent another war. In the settlement, Germany was forced to convert to a democratic republic. This time in German history is referred to as the Weimar republic. Citizens of Germany refused to accept the idea of
‘From the first day that he "seized power," January 30, 1933, Hitler knew that only sudden death awaited him if he failed to restore pride and empire to post-Versailles Germany.’[1] The Second World War was the deadliest battle in History. Figures estimate that over 59 million people were killed during its conflict. German leadership was under Adolf Hitler, a ruthless dictator who was the chancellor of Germany during the majority of the conflict. It is debatable that Hitler was solely responsible for the events in which lead to and occurred during the Second World War. Hitler was responsible to a large degree, however cannot be accountable for every aspect in which the
The Treaty of Versailles was penned during the Paris Peace Conference, mainly to decide upon Germany’s consequences for beginning World War One. When Germany signed the treaty, it lost a tenth of its land to surrounding countries. Not only did they lose part of their country, but they also lost their overseas territories, including Chinese ports, Pacific Islands, and African colonies. One of the actual causes of the war was that Germany wanted ‘a place in the sun’, and requested
The Versailles treaty was the peace settlement between Germany and the Allied powers that eventually ended world war one. Even Though it ended this war the treaty of Versailles was hated by many American and Germany. Germany made many threats to the Allied powers. The passing of the Treaty of Versailles resulted in unpopular backlash from both Germany and America.
Was World War II Hitler’s war? Some people may disagree but most would agree that the blame of World War II should be rested on Hitler’s shoulders. When Hitler went into power his initial goal was to dictate, start a war, make Germany a powerful nation, and annihilate races he believed was inferior; and he did just that. Hitler was very power hungry, dedicated to politics, and eager to take risk. Just like an opportunist, if the opportunity presents itself to increase the chance of Germany becoming the most powerful nation, he jumped on the ban wagon. He began his plan to conquer by aiming small nations, and catches his opponents off guard. He had rich knowledge about weapons, and had a knack for staying ahead of his opponents. Hitler dreamt of a new Germany, and in order for him to achieve such dream he started a fire called World War II.
Adolf Hitler is not individually at fault for the Holocaust, as his followers and advisors can also be put to blame for the terror that occurred within and around Germany. Leaders such as Reinhard Heydrich and Rudolf Hess played a key role in the success of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler. Also, Hitler would have gotten nowhere without the support of millions in Germany. Although Hitler was most definitely at fault personally, he also gained support as Germans chose to join him, while advisors helped him throughout the time of the holocaust and World War 2, proving that he would have not been successful individually.
