Other than helping with the war, the British were also stationed in the colonies for protection after the war.The French and Indian War resulted from ongoing frontier tensions in North America. French and British imperial officials and colonists were going to extend each country’s sphere of influence in frontier regions. At the end of the war the British Parliament decided to tax American Colonies to help pay for the British troops they had that helped.Another main reason of the American Revolution is the Boston Blockade. The Boston Blockade otherwise known as the Boston Port Act which shut down the port of Boston for trade.
