What would America do without all the blessings that have been given to us throughout the years, like freedom of religion, press, speech, assembly, and petition? But most importantly, in my opinion, is our freedom of speech, and how privileged we are to be able to speak our minds without worrying about repercussions that would take place in other countries. Our freedoms are truly the greatest gift our glorious country, called America, could have given my generation. In many other countries, all over the world, casualties have happened and continue to happen due to people verbalizing their worries and thoughts. Take what happened with Malala Yousafzai, for example. She spoke out to the people in India about women’s rights and education, when
Freedom of religion and freedom of Speech were some of the major values that drove the pilgrims to start their own community in America. We started in thirteen colonies which have evolved into the fifty states that are our country today. Our newly established democracy offered rights that our old society didn?t bring to the table. Currently, the United States is the most or one of the most privileged nations and is very pleasant to live in compared to some foreign nations that may come to mind. However, we, as citizens, have come to abuse our rights and privileges given to us.
The freedom of speech and religion in my mind are the two most important rights as we Americans contain. Freedom of speech is important because we can express what we want to express until a certain limit. Which means
Of all the freedom listed in the Amendment, I personally believe that those granted in the first amendment are the most important. The first amendment remains the most powerful tool for protecting the freedoms of religion, speech, press, assembly, and petition for Americans today. The first amendment allows citizen to worship whatever Religion they please without interference from the government. With freedom of speech citizens are given the right to voice their opinion publicly without the fear of getting punished. Freedom of the press allows citizens to broadcast and publish truthful report without interference from the government. Freedom of assembly gives citizens the right to hold meetings in public and not be questioned. Freedom of petition
The freedom of speech is the right that I am most thankful for because I like to express my opinions on things. If we are in class and I want to state my opinion on something, it is perfectly okay because I have the freedom of speech. I am also thankful for this right because I can say whatever I want. When I am anywhere I have the freedom to say whatever I would like to because I have the freedom of speech.
Another freedom that I enjoy as an American is freedom of speech. As an American,
America gives my generation, safety, freedom, and family. A quote by Dwight D. Eisenhower is very meaningful. “America is best described by one word freedom.” These things are very important.
What rights and other things do you like that we have here in America? Do you like that we have the right to own weapons & bare our arms to protect ourselves? The next right I like is that we have the right to vote to see who will go and represent our country. I also like that we allow women to vote to see who becomes president. The other right I like is that no matter who you are you will always get fair punishments. The last thing I like about America is that we have the National Football League (NFL).
America has gave us all gifts. So much that we can not even count all of them. If we didn’t have these freedoms then the U.S. would be much different. We would not have the things we have now such as good clothes. But to me these are the most important gifts that america gave us in my opinion. Here are three important things america has gave us.
America has given many gifts to my generation. I think the biggest gift we have received is freedom. In past generations America has not had freedom. Then only some Americans had freedom, and not everyone was treated fairly. Now everyone in America has freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of the press, freedom of assembly. We have not had always all of these wonderful freedoms we have today. Lots of times people take these freedom for granted, and don’t remember how much others had to go through to get us these freedoms. The veterans that fought in the revolutionary war, fought to give us these freedoms that lots now take for granted. I think it is a blessing and a gift for us to have be free country. We are allowed to believe in whatever and whoever we want, we can speak our own opinion. We are allowed to meet and discuss whatever we want, whatever we want.
One of the biggest thing that is our country’s gift to me is freedom of speech. One example of this to me is the freedom that allows people to say whatever they want they want to about anything. Another thing is that if someone has a different religion or beliefs than you then they can say it. Plus that person doesn’t have to hide their religion in secrecy. Besides that when you’re watching the news they can’t censor anything, but they can
Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is what America is built on that makes it such an amazing place. Our Lady Liberty stands tall over all enemies in the way of us striving to be the best. America is a place where you can succeed, thrive, dream, and be free. There are a variety of gifts America has given to my generation, some are good some are bad, such as newer and more reliable technologies, destruction and war violence, and last is freedom and rights. America has given my generation lots of wonderful and tragic gifts, including newer and more reliable technologies.
There is a bunch of things that America has gave to my generation, but the one that stands out is freedom. Freedom is what America gave to me, it is a major thing to have freedom cause you look at these 3rd world countries and some of them have very little right’s but most of them do not rights at all so that's why i think is a gift for my generation . ‘‘one flag, one land, one hand, one nation evermore’’! -Oliver Wendell Holmes. The reason i chose this quote is because, it represents America's independents and why it’s the best nation. One gift of freedom America has given to me id the freedom of speech. Now you can get in trouble from what you say ,but unlike other nations you won’t be killed from what you say.
The United States of America is one of the greatest if not the greatest country in the world. One of the most notable trait what makes America great is its freedom and it all started with the Constitution. The US Constitution Is one of the greatest works too because once it was made It gave power to the people and didn't make the government so powerful in which they could control the people. One practice that was put in place was the Bill of Rights, another one was checks and balances and let's not forget federalism. All these fundamentals would protect the citizens and give power to the people and limit the government.
America has given my generation the greatest gift one country could give its citizens, freedom. The list of freedoms is almost endless, from freedom of speech, to freedom of the press, and even freedom of religion, our country has never failed to protect these freedoms.
Freedom of speech, I can say anything without being arrested or killed. There is no freedom of speech in other countries such as Russia, japan, or Korea. I have no fear of being arrested or persecuted for saying something. In countries with dictators such as North Korea, you can’t say something like “this country sucks” or “I hate Kim Jong un” (North Korea’s dictator) or you will probably be killed. In America we can say anything without getting beaten or killed.
