When you eat an apple, do you wash it? Have you ever wondered why?It’s because there are pesticides on them which are not healthy for us or our environment in any way, shape, or form. This is one of the many topics that have to do with food safety. Pesticides, oversea contamination, and meat contamination are all things the U.S. inspection companies, the FDA and the USDA Pilot Program are failing to take control of and monitor. They are becoming a major problem in our country. Why this however? Are they lazy? Who knows, but this issue that is having an enormous impact on our nation needs to be solved. One side of the debate believes that the system we are using now is just fine. They believe that it is practically impossible to farm without pesticides, and the companies in charge of controlling meat and oversea food contamination claim they doing their job just fine as it is right now. Nevertheless, It is crucial that we stop these action because they are a huge threat to our nation. From pesticides harming our environment and harming our health to the contamination of oversea food and meat that are causing people to get salmonella and E. coli. We can afford to keep this system the same. The only way to fix it, is to do something immediately, but that starts with why.
Some people believe that pesticides are the new technology in the agricultural world. While they may help plants growth by keeping away bugs, it’s not worth it with all of the other harmful things they do.…
