In this section, it will show you and your parents how to prepare for meeting college admission requirements.
From organizing your high school transcript, passing college entrance test (SAT and ACT), getting the right college reference letters, and funding opportunities you maybe eligible for.

High School Seniors you need to make sure you complete all college admission requirements. Meet with your high school guidance counselor to help prepare the information for your college application.

Once my senior year started, it seemed as if all I heard was “College this, college that”, because of all of this discussion I was second guessing even going to college as a whole. From taking SATs, ACTs, and planning prom, college for me was the least of my worries. Unlike high school, people don’t normally get one try to get it right the first time! College, for most is a critical development into adulthood. College teaches beyond the classroom and sheds light on certain attainable humanly characteristics. Such as: perseverance, hard work, integrity, love, admiration, and respect which allows one to find oneself using knowledge.
This semester I have grown as a student in the area of college readiness. This has allowed me to feel more planned for college. I have gained knowledge about college and how to prepare in order to be successful. In advisory we read a “college- going 101 timeline,” which provided steps on how to get ready for college. It gave me a list of procedures I can follow throughout high school. Some procedures it gave me where to; begin keeping a folder of important information, create a list of possible colleges to apply to, and attend a college fair.
People frequently say that everything from GPA to extracurricular activities counts starting in high school. Thus, many students tend to start planning for their future in their first year in high school. One of the major concerns of most high school students getting ready for college is a financial issue. Doing well on national exams such as the ACT can solve this problem with possible scholarships offered at colleges. Understanding the purpose and description of the ACT as well as the information about the tuition fee and the Pre-Pharmacy program at Oregon State University is important for me to get a head start on my future education.
College admissions are crucial a student’s senior year of high school. There are many requirements that need to be satisfied in order to qualify for admissions at certain schools, as well as the checklist to apply to each school. We spend four years studying not just to get a diploma, but to gain expertise we could make better use in our future career. However, it cannot be accomplished without a suitable plan. For example, I am a graduate student at Cleveland Institute of Music. Because it is a top music school in United State, I should have to organize well. There are numerous processes I have to complete to get the offer. First, make a video of playing instrument. My major is Doublebass Performance, I have to follow the list that shows on the page of admissions on my school’s website. I need to play two movements of a concerto or a sonata, an entire work of Bach, and five excerpts of orchestra. Second, completing application online. Besides filling in the basic informations like name, gender, age, I must show my transcripts of my undergraduate school, such as transcripts of required courses and elective courses. Taking the decision to attend college is a tremendous impact in the life of any student. There is always big expectations as far as who will be my new classmates, how difficult will be the new courses I will be taking, or how experienced are the professors with the topics I will be learning.
