Who Is Amec Foster Wheeler?

I believe that I will succeed in the Wheeler Magnet Program because of my strong interest in STEM, experience in Dodgen’s Science Olympiad Team, and personal achievements. I am very interested in the Wheeler Magnet Program as it will further challenge my intelligence and allow me to excel in the future.

EOD1 Kevin R. Bewley was actively dedicated towards a career of military service. He was constantly expanding on his ideal combat knowledge, education, and qualifications in both the National Guard, and in the U.S Navy in order to increase his lethality and effectiveness in combat. His career started in December of 1999. He enlisted into the Arkansas National Guard as an 11/C infantry/ Mortarman. During his time in the National Guard he earned expert and sharpshooter marksmanship qualification badges with an expert marksmanship qualification with a mortar bar and a sharpshooter marksmanship with a grenade bar. As well as a sharpshooter marksmanship qualification badge with a rifle bar.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Justin Robison, Controller and CFO for The Housing Trust in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The Housing Trust is a non-profit agency who helps people in northern New Mexico locate affordable housing. This assistance is provided to low and moderate income level families. The Housing Trust also builds energy efficient, affordable homes for low income families. Justin has been in the financial sector as an Investment Analyst and a Financial Analyst. He earned his MBA at the University of New Mexico. Justin’s leadership style has developed from experience and education, but he appears to still be in the process of really finding what style works best for him. Justin had an insightful view of what defines leadership, what helps motivate his followers, and what makes a good follower.

I finally caught up to our client, Timothy Foster, near his residence in Jacksonville, Alabama. If you recall, Mr. Foster is the son of co-defendant and State Farm insured Nakeshia Foster. The federal definition of foster care is a “24-hour substitute care for children placed away from their parents or guardians and for whom the State agency has placement and care responsibility” (Johnson, 2004). Therapeutic foster care is a subsystem of the suprasystem which is foster care. The Quality Foster Care Services Act defines therapeutic foster care as foster care which is highly effective in placing children with serious medical, psychological, emotional, and social needs into a home in which foster parents are specially trained to address the needs and challenges of the children (U.S. Senators Baldwin and Portman Lead Effort to Improve Foster Care Services for America’s Most Vulnerable Youth, 2014).

When an adolescent comes into for therapy there is really never an easy task of finding out what is going on. Adolescent that come in who are part of the foster care system will add another degree of challenges. Children and adolescents that are put into the foster care system are not there because they choose to be, they are there due to some event in their life putting them there.

The foster care system is defined as “the raising or supervision of foster children, or orphans or delinquents, in an institution, group home, or private home, usually arranged through a government or social service agency that provide remuneration for expenses” (dictionary.com) The foster system is used when the guardian of the child is not fit to raise the child. Although it is believed that the foster care system is effective, there are many problems with it. When admitted into foster care, it is common to be moved several times. Being forced to move so frequently can lead to fear of being close to someone as well as misbehaving. According to the 2015 Adoption and foster care Analysis and reporting system (AFCARS), 427,910 children were in the US foster care, making foster care one of the social issues in the USA. The US Department of Health and Human services (HHS) is working on this social issue for past few years, but is still not getting positive results — every year population of Foster care is increasing by 50,000 youths. Some things that people don’t know about foster care is that they will not only lose their children—they had lost parental rights and had broken the laws, therefore this can lead to a punishment. Journeys are complex, in a sense. They could be based off of spiritual, physical, or even basic mental goals. Though, I believe journeys are taken for the mental or spiritual benefits. It might be agreed that journeys should teach you something about yourself, they could possibly help you overcome any obstacles, physical or personal, and maybe, you could be compelled to out-do yourself or someone else and discover something about yourself and grow during the process. Journeys are taken for reasons that might not ever be explained or mentioned, but maybe journeys are taken for the reasons to be explained, so someone else can learn and possibly take a journey themselves.

May 25, 2013, a day that would forever change my life. The day that I knew that with a simple piece of paper my life would be filled with endless possibilities. On this day I graduated high school. To some this is not what they would call a milestone in life and that it could be achieved by anyone but to an eighteen-year-old, African American, female, living in a small rural town that is heavy laden with poverty, this is the most memorable moment of my entire life and somehow I imagine that this is how a Muslim must feel on his or her first journey to Mecca.
