Who Is Boo Radley Evil

Even though he kept to himself he was still accused of doing terrible things like driving 'scissors into his parent's leg' and dining 'on raw squirrels and any cats he could catch'. Apart from these completely unfair and unproven accusations he also was subjected to solitary confinement in his 'home'. All this was because he had a mental illness, and all he ever did was do the best that he could with the mind that he had. Boo Radley is a mockingbird because he is kind, gentle and always tries his best. Like Tom, he was thrown into a bad situation by the townsfolk and their biased and inaccurate views. That forced him to to react as best he could which was 'killing' Bob Ewell. He saved Jem and Scout, who where kids who had previously suspected him to be a monster, and that he had even previously left 'perfect miniatures' of them, for them. Although by some peoples standards, killing is never the 'right' option, Boo did what he thought was right, and he saved the kids lives. Boo is a mockingbird because he is innocent, and was put under the burden of the towns out of date views of society.

Boo Radley is the mysterious man in Maycomb County , and he is the killer in every scary kid’s story. Boo stays locked up in his house, and has not came out in thirty years. They say that Boo lives off of raw squirrels and cats that he catches., Aand that he has a big scar across his face, and yellow rotten teeth. Jem, Scout, and Dill spendt their summer trying to get Boo to come out of his house, but it never worksed. The children always wondered why Boo stayded inside his homeuse. Even though he never said why he stayed inside, the children finally understand after what they witness over the summer and school year. One reason why Boo stays inside because he is forced to. In, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Arthur “Boo” Radley is a misunderstood adult of whom the entire town is scared of, even though he does not come out of his house. However, when he does come out of the house, he commits a courageous deed that ends up with the Finch Kids, Jem and Scout, indebted to him. Boo Radley is a positive citizen in the town of Maycomb because of his incredible feat of bravery for the children.

When you hear the world innocents what’s the first thing to come to mind? In “To Kill A Mockingbird” written by famous writer Harper Lee. Who used symbolism;(A literary device where the author use an object to stand for an idea). To stand for innocents as the mockingbird. In her novel, to kill a mockingbird, Harper Lee uses Boo(arthur)Radley, Atticus Finch, Mayella Ewell as human, ”mockingbirds” to contribute to the overall theme of innocents.

Boo Radley is a reverent hero. He saved Jem And Scout when they were being attacked by Mr. Ewell. He stepped in and stabbed Mr. Ewell with a knife. He then carried Jem home to safety where he was looked at by a doctor (Foote 75). However he is still merely looked at as a threat. Multiple times throughout To Kill A Mockingbird, we have seen many people be victims of prejudice. But the best example, and the very first, is Boo Radley. His full name, Arthur “Boo” Radley, is a person who was associated with a gang that caused some trouble. He has been thrown into a non-prison like jail cell. He was going to go through school but his dad pulled him out and had been inside of his house since.

Mr Radley was ashamed of his son’s behaviour when he got into the wrong crowd as a youngster and punished him by locking him up. There is a lot of gossip around Maycomb about Boo and people blame him for any bad things that happen in the neighbourhood, ‘Any stealthy crimes committed in Maycomb were his work.’ Jem turns him into a monster, ‘his hands were blood-stained’, and ‘his eyes popped’. At the end of the novel however, we find that Boo is misunderstood, and gossip of the town’s folk has made him up to be a ‘malevolent phantom’. Scout tells us he is timid, he had, ‘the voice of a child afraid of the dark’.

Boo Radley was the reclusive man who never setted foot outside his house. He is a powerful symbol of goodness. In the Halloween night when Jem and Scout returned from school, Boo Radley saved them from Bob Ewell who tried to kill them by the knife because of the hatred with Atticus Finch. For many years, Boo Radley has been in a complex situation, one unlike that of anyone else in the novel. Mr. Arthur Radley, known as Boo to Jem and Scout has always lived in Maycomb, but almost never makes appearances outside of him home, located behind the schoolyard. After an incident where Boo was arrested, Mr. Radley convinced the judge to let him stay at home, as long as he “gave no further trouble” (page 13). Boo never left the house again for fifteen years after this. Through much thought and contemplating, one character that I thought made significant changes throughout the movie is Marlin. Now Marlin is a clownfish from the movie Finding Nemo. Marlin makes several changes throughout the movie based solely on the problems that he is faced with and the way that he chooses to handle them. He is faced with four major problems and the choices that he makes to react to those problems changes his entire view on life. He is face with the loss of a majority of his family, confrontation with death, and finally he finds what he truly wants in life.
