Who actually killed Romeo and Juliet? Romeo and Juliet died for love. They loved each other so much that they both would of died for each other over and over again if they could. They knew it was wrong for them to love each other when their families hated each other, but they never gave up and loved each other anyway. A lot of people think that Friar Laurence was responsible for their deaths, but others think that it was the families feud that killed each other. Friar Laurence is presented as a holy man who is trusted and respected by the other characters. The Friar directly and indirectly took part in the suicide, murder, and other tragic happenings. Most people think that Friar Laurence killed Romeo and Juliet because he married the two lovebirds, secretly without the two families knowing hoping that he could unite the two families. The forbidden wedding of Romeo and Juliet could not have happened without the Friar. The Friar impulsively agreed to marry Romeo and Juliet, even though he knows it will cause problems later. He should know that it isn’t right for the two of them to marry without their families consent or knowledge of the wedding. He should have been the bigger person and decline the wedding.

If there wasn’t a family feud, there would have been no need for Romeo and JUliet to hide their love. If the Capulets and Montagues had resolved their differences, both Romeo and Juliet would have loved to have a happy life together. The Montagues and Capulets realized the error of their ways a little too late. Nevertheless, both families resolve their difference after losing their loved ones. So as you can see, there are many different opinions between who killed Romeo and Juliet, and really we will never know.
