The Titanic The Titanic was sunk and people were trying to find the person who is responsible. I think that the crew and the captain are the ones to blame. Do you want to know why I said that? The crew was part of it because the crew they did not send the last few icebergs warnings and the turned off the radio so that could make a huge difference of the sinking of the titanic. I think also that the captain of the titanic was just dining with someone else rather than working on his job.Aso I think the captain was responsible because in his whole career he never had a problem with any of his previous ship so he have thought that this one would not be a problem with this ship. This is what his essay is about. First i think that the
Have you ever wondered who sank the Titanic? Captain Smith was responsible for the sinking of the Titanic because he put the ship in full speed, he was ignoring the ice warnings, and there were no warnings for the people at the iceberg sighting.
Although some people think Captain Smith is responsible for the sinking of the Titanic. However, I think that it is J. Bruce Ismay because he told Captain Smith to accelerate the speed of the ship after they received 7 ice warnings. They say that Captain Smith didn’t put as many people on the lifeboats as he could and that’s true, but Ismay didn’t have enough lifeboats for everyone on the ship. When Ismay saw the iceberg, it was too close so he took a 90% angle and got a hole on
Although you may think Thomas Andrews the designer of the Titanic Is responsible for the sinking, I believe Captain Smith is responsible. I believe this because he ignored the seven iceberg warnings. On a result of ignoring these seven warnings while the ocean was very calm, no one spotted the iceberg, they hit but Smith didn’t take caution. So it’s Captain Smith’s fault!
You’ve heard of the Titanic’s sinking, right? Well, do you know who is exactly is responsible though? The captain of the R.M.S. Titanic is to blame, which was Captain Edward J. Smith and he was a popular leader. He had a total of 38 years of working with the White Star Line, the company that owned the Titanic. Captain Smith should have had full control of the ship and obviously, that night, he did not. Therefore, Captain Smith is the the person to blame for the sinking of the R.M.S. Titanic because he cancelled a lifeboat drill on the Titanic, he allowed lifeboats to leave partially full and not at the correct time, and lastly, he ignored seven different iceberg warnings.
On April 14, 1912 what was known as one of the safest ships, the titanic, sank.
The reason why I think J. Bruce Ismay is responsible for the sinking of the Titanic because he was the commander of the ship and telling the captain what to do. Also he was counted on to watch the people on the job to see if they were doing it and he didn’t so the one who was at the radio area so that he can tell him to turn it back on. Even if it was of there could have been there but it says that in order to tell if they got any warnings that are like two or more feet away from them.
For this project, a friend and I attended and participated in Shabbat on Friday, November 13th at 6pm. The ritual was held at the UGA Hillel Church and lasted about an hour. Shabbat is a Jewish ritual celebrating a day of rest and spiritual enrichment. According the to the textbook, a ritual is a behavior that is stylized, repetitive, and stereotyped (Kottak). Shabbat is the most important ritual in Judaism. Shabbat begins at sunset on Friday and ends at nightfall on Saturday. It is a very cherished time: a time for peace, harmony and tranquility.
The article “ Into the Dark Water” helped me understand what was happening by all of the quotes Lauren Tarshis put in the story. It also helped me feel how Jack Thayer a 17 - year old boy who was thankful to be on the Titanic felt about his whole journey through his quotes in the story that made me read till the end.
Who was responsible for the sinking of the Titanic? The Titanic was a horrific accident, and could’ve been prevented if J. Bruce Ismay wasn’t there. The disaster has affected us today, one example is by ships having way more lifeboats. In my opinion, J. Bruce Ismay is responsible for the sinking of the Titanic because he wanted to get to his destination and told Captain Smith to go into an ice field, which is illustrated by him rushing to his destination and telling Captain Smith to go as fast as possible. J. Bruce Ismay was probably one of the most important people in the Titanic, because he was Smith’s boss.

Why did the Titanic sink? Who’s to blame for this imprint on the timeline of humanity? How could the guilty let this happen? All of these questions could be answered with one man, Captain Edward J. Smith. As Ballard’s Exploring the Titanic says, “(Captain Smith) was a natural leader and was popular with both crew and passengers… thirty-eight years’ service with the White Star Line… had an excellent safety record.” This seems like the guy you would want to captain a great ship like the Titanic, and at first he was. But, as the ship’s voyage progressed he started to forget his duties and take this trip as some getaway time for himself to enjoy. This idea of his endorsed his mind until he only visited the bridge every couple hours. When the iceberg
On that night April 14: 11:40 p.m. The lookouts spot an iceberg with their bare eyes straight ahead and they veered to the left to hope to miss the iceberg. Little did the passengers know that they hit the iceberg but up front there was a loud SKREECH! Down in the coal bunker the man was right there when the side of the boat busted open and after a while five compartments had filled but the ship could only float with four compartments filled that meant that they had only 2 hours to to get everyone off the boat. After the Titanic sank there was hundreds of people got locked in and some lived and got rescued while Captain Smith went down with the ship.
Everyone knows the story of the Titanic. How the largest moving object ever fashioned by man hit an iceberg on its maiden voyage and sank in the middle of the North Atlantic. To contextualize this piece of writing, discussing the aspects of rhetorical analysis is essential. “Conspiracies – Titanic: The Ship That Never Sank” documentary depicts a completely new level of the dreadful incident. The Titanic was switched with its sister ship, the Olympic and it was the Olympic that was sunk deliberately as part of the greatest insurance scam in history. The film is based upon and directed by Robin Gardiner, one of the few researchers of the incident of Titanic. His purpose was to shine light on the fact that Titanic was condemned just for White Star Liners to avoid bankruptcy. It includes evidences of British as well as American inquiries, eye witness reports of survivors, and newspapers of the day, photographs, videos, film and radio broadcasts. However, it is indeed a story that has left many questions unanswered. Was it nature’s doing or human’s? Gardiner efficiently uses pathos, logos, ethos and kairos in his documentary so as to create awareness among people today of such an enormous insurance scam.
