Around the world many women are receiving abortions legally and illegally. I believe receiving abortions should be against the law, with the exception of rape and incest. Taking the life of an unborn human being is not only cruel but wrong. The decision of taking another human beings life should not lie in our hands.

There's many reasons why I think abortion should be illegal but the main one is that it takes innocent lives. The baby didn't have nothing to do with the whole thing and it's life is being taken. Abortion can be one of the most sensitive issues in the world. Many people constantly debate about whether abortion should be allowed or not. Some people think that abortion is very cruel and that it should be banned forever. The people that think this believe that abortion is murder and is like killing a human being. Others feel that it’s not wrong because they feel its not murder until the child is born. I think it depends on which stage the baby is in to be consider a murder case. The earliest stage then I believe that it should not be labeled as murder. The latest stage when it is a larger fetus then that is most definitely murder.

People say abortion is “killing babies.” You are not killing babies when you have an abortion. Abortions usually take place during the first trimester of the pregnancy. The babies haven’t even developed a nervous system or a functioning brain yet. They are not capable of living independently. They only have the potential to become a person, but they aren’t yet. It surely can’t feel emotional distress or pain.

Certainly the issue of abortion is not something to be taken lightly because it is the termination of what could, potentially, become a human being. There are very many ways of looking at abortion, which make it hard to decide whether or not you are for it. Although there are many good reasons as to why someone would choose to be against it I, for one, believe abortion could, in some cases, be the right thing to do. Abortion could save women from an experience that could either damage or kill them. This is not the same for every single case but there are exceptions.

There must be a point in which the law acknowledges a life in all stages of development. Allowing late term abortion is taking away the rights of life to healthy babies. An abortion can be carried out any where from thirteen to thirty-nine weeks. Some doctors say that late term abortions are only done when medically necessary. However, there is evidence to prove that this is not always the case. In order to save healthy babies lives, late term abortion needs to be illegal unless it is truly a medical emergency.
