Why are Obstetrician –Gynecologist and Certified Nurse Midwives are essential to life? Well obstetricians care for pregnant women and deliver babies; gynecologists specialize in the reproduce systems of women. Midwife are advance practice registered nurses who provide counseling and care during pre-conception, pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. I myself want to become an OB/GYN, that’s why I’m so engaged into writing this paper.
An obstetrician and gynecologist (OB/GYN) is a doctor who specializes in women 's reproductive health and pregnancy. OB/GYNs also provide health care before, during and even after childbirth. They also deliver babies; examine patients, order diagnostic tests and make diagnosis; order medication and treatment (OBGYN, 2015). They can diagnose conditions such as infection, endometriosis, and ovarian and breast cancers. Working conditions are generally charming with the work environment being indoors in highly lighted exam rooms and hospitals. Hours of work frequently exceed 60 hours a week in the busier practice. This typically can result in being awakened at all hours of the night. Also being asked to come in at irregular times to evaluate a patient, which means is being on call 24/7 or which means being available to come back to work every minute of every day when you 're not working.
