Why Are Zoos Important Or Necessary?

Since 3500 B.C., zoos had appeared to entertain people. As time went by, zoos now have included the feature of entertainment, education and repopulation of endangered species. But as animal’s rights were mentioned in recent years, people started to found zoo morally defensible and somehow unhelpful to animals. The zoo isn't necessary because it ignored animal rights by making them suffer mentally and physically in the cage, in many parts, zoos are actually dangerous and useless, and it is more an entertainment, not education. For you, zoos might be homes for animals or simply a place you could visit. But for the animals, it’s more like a prison. Making animals suffer in the cage for their whole life ignores animal rights. They suffered both mentally and physically. Animals are often imprisoned in small, enclosure spaces for their whole life. This could cause two problems. First, the life in wild couldn’t be simulated. Animal's natural abilities would disappear. So a species couldn’t survive if they have the opportunity to return to the wild. Second, wild animals usually are high active animals. Zoo is known to have the feature of education. However, is it actually true? In many ways, it’s more like entertainment.
