Britain is including in Allies power in WW1, Allies win the ww1, and make the treaty of Versailles at the end of the ww1. The war makes the economic recession a lot.
“The Prime Minister announced today in a message broadcast to the Empire, that as from 11 o’clock in the morning, Great Britain was at war with Germany.” (“The Daily Telegraph” Sept 4, 1939.) Britain must know the pain of war, but why it still joined the WW2 in 1939. I am going to talk about the three reasons why Britain entered the ww2.
The First reason Britain entered ww2 is Germany occupation of Czechoslovakia. After the ww1, even Germany had known the suffer of war , they still have ambition of expand their territory. The first action which Germany did is going to occupation

Because Britain didn’t want the war, they want to use a peace way to solve the problem, Wilton Norman Chamberlain(Prime Minister of Britain) sent a telegram to Hitler in September 13th , said he want to meet Hitler and solve the problem peacefully. In September 15th, Chamberlain went to Germany, have the meeting with Hitler. After the meeting with Hitler, Chamberlain pressure Czechoslovakia with Édouard Daladier (Prime Minister of France), they let Czechoslovakia solve the problem by themselves. On September 22th, Hitler had a new require:Germany military occupation Area in Czechoslovakia which main race is German (Sudetenland region), Czechoslovakia military should be retreat in September 28th. Of course Czechoslovakia government refused it. Because it is unfair to Czechoslovakia, why should Czechoslovakia let their military out from their territory. Germany military went to boundary of Germany which next to Czechoslovakia on September 27th, the war seems going to be start. Next day, Chamberlain went to Germany again. They have a meeting that day, Benito Mussolini (Prime Minister of Italy) and Édouard Daladier (Prime Minister of France) also join the meeting, but the most important country Czechoslovakia didn’t join the meeting. In this meeting, they decide to give Sudetenland region to Germany. And this is the Munich Agreement “…The occupation by stages of the predominantly German territory …show more content…
Although in the Munich Meeting Hitler said that is the last require about territory, he require Freie Stadt Danzig territory again. Freie Stadt Danzig is a city protect under League of Nation, it is between Poland and Germany . Germany wanted to gain this city then invade Poland. Britain had Anglo-Polish Agreement with Poland. “It was agreed that the two countries were prepared to enter into an agreement of a permanent and reciprocal character to replace the present temporary and unilateral assurance given by His Majesty's Government to the Polish Government.” (Anglo-Polish communiqué issued April 6, 1939) This agreement formalized the military alliance between Britain and Poland. Also Britain and France promise they will help Romania and Greece. Germany think they are going to surrounded by these countries, so it declare abolition the treaty about not invade Poland and less the quantity of submarine, and then sign Molotov Ribbentrop Pact with Soviet Union secretly. Germany said Poland is a unstable country, so it have to obey Germany, or it will be attacked by Germany. Poland said they will not agree with that, Germany then declare the negotiation with Poland fail. At the end of August, Germany continuous attack Poland. Because the Anglo-Polish Agreement, Britain have duty to help Poland when they need help, so Britain join the war on 1939 September. I think this is the most important reason why Britain entered
Munich Conference-1938 - Hitler wanted to annex the Sudetenland, a portion of Czechoslovakia whose inhabitants were mostly German-speaking. On Sept. 29, Germany, Italy, France, and Great Britain signed the Munich Pact, which gave Germany the Sudetenland. British Prime Minister Chamberlain justified the pact with the belief that appeasing Germany would prevent war.
Britain realized in 1907 that their biggest threat was Germany. As for support Russia and France were with Britain and together they made the tripe entente. In 1914 Britain was determined not to enter the war. Germany hoped England would not enter the war but also realized under the Treaty of London of 1839 England defended Belgium. Although, Britain ignored the treaty and let Germany through Belgium but made their duty to protect Britain. Germany controlled Belgium ports and Britain ignored it until the events where Germany attacked France through Belgium which led Britain to enter the world war on August 4,
He then decided to take part of Czechoslovakia, and France and Britain decided to appease Hitler in the Munich Agreement of 1938, which granted him the land. Later on in 1939, Hitler pushed through and conquers all of Czechoslovakia. At this point in time, the reason he was able to take over Czech, and militarize the Rhineland, was because of the fear of a war. Appeasing Germany and letting him gain land and military power wasn't a very good move as it showed Hitler that no one was brave enough to stop him. All of these things show how the Allies could have saw the signs that Hitler had no plans of
England and France, fearing another war established a policy of appeasement to by time and rearm its forces. The European countries believed that Hitler would only retake the Sudetenland; this land was historically Germany's homeland(6). This was another mistake by France and England because with the Sudetenland he gained the famous Skoda armament factories and was ultimately a more dangerous military opponent(6). Until the remainder of Czechoslovakia was swallowed in 1939 all Hitler had done seemed reasonable(6). Until then he had only tried to obtain lands where ethnic Germans lived(6). The disregard of the Treaty of Versailles would be the main factor that allowed Germany to regain their power and ultimately bring the world into another war.
France and Britain made Germany sign The Versailles Peace Treaty but once Hitler became the leader of Germany, he wanted to change everything in Germany and make it powerful like it was once before. The League of Nations came into being after the end of World War One. The League of Nation’s task was simple to ensure that war never broke out again but eventually the League of Nations failed. As the League of Nations crumbled, politicians turned to a new way to keep the peace appeasement. This was the policy of giving Hitler what he wanted to stop him from going to war. It was based on the idea that what Hitler wanted was reasonable and, when his reasonable demands had been satisfied, he would stop. There were many reasons why Chamberlin appeased Hitler. A few of them
Moreover, while Jews in Germany were being tormented and war was approaching, Great Britain did not want to take part. Neville Chamberlain, the Prime Minister of the British from 1937-1940, decided to sign an appeasement “a peace treaty” with Hitler stating that the British only wanted peace (Neufeldt, 109). However, Hitler already had his plans, and the
Illegal immigrants should be allowed in the United States because it would stop the separation of illegal families. According to the Applied Research Center report “there are at least 5,100 children in foster care due to a parent being deported or detained. It estimates that another 15,000 children will enter the foster care system within the next five years. The likelihood of these children being reunified with family is slim” (Immigration, Deportation, and Family Separation ). Kids are being left behind or left in foster homes just because their parents got deported. The separation of families has to stop to keep the families together so the kids won't be staying in the U.S alone with no one to take care of them except for total strangers
Germany ended up defeating and taking over Poland on October 6, 1939. Both Great Britain and France knew after Poland was taken over, there was only more trouble to come from Germany. For France, it was only a matter of time before it was taken over, while Britain remained resilient against Germany and it’s forces. This early hesitation from Western Europe, specifically France and Great Britain, was a major reason to account for the Germans’ early success during World War II. However, France and Britain were not the only countries whose lack of initial involvement in the war was significant to Germany’s early success.
In the 21st century, the enforcement of gender roles are not only between man and women, but also women and women. Long story short, my husband is ten years older than me and grew up in a privileged environment. In contrast, I grew up in a low income family, and I don 't make a six figure salary. Hence, I felt that every time I hang out with my husband’s friends or family, I don’t fit in, or don 't have much talk about. For example, one incident, one of his friend’s wife, Doan Vu said to me, “ you are pathetic, lazy girl can 't even speak English. You need to go take some ESL classes to learn some English because I can 't understand a thing you said.” because I was so mad the fact that all the other boys were having fun and are getting a little loud, and she said it to my husband “ you getting loud”. Doan is working at Stanford as financial analyst, I was just a housewife. She judged me as a housewife doesn 't pay the bills. Does working women have more respect than housewives. Unfortunately yes, working women do get more respect than housewives. Many people think it 's easy to stay at home all day and watch the children and take care of all the things around the house, however, being housewife just like any typical job. People assume that because a stay at home mom isn 't contributing to the family 's. As a result, Doan felt more superior to talk to me that way which felt condescended to me. “I am thankful for all difficult people in my life, they have shown me exactly who
The first cause that I will discuss that led to British decolonization was its debt from back to back World Wars and the overall affect on the wars itself. World War 1 was costly to the British economy, but for World War 2, the economic losses were far heavier. World War 2 ate up Britain’s monetary reserves and a quarter of its stored wealth. Britain was also stripped of two-thirds of its pre-war export trade. This economic loss forced Britain into acquiring loans from the United States. This meant that after World War 2 Great Britain had emerged from war as a debtor nation with an empire still intact. The once great financial resources of Britain were devastated by the high cost of the wars and even the Great Depression before. Ultimately, this meant that Britain’s foreign policy could not be as extravagant as it was before the Wars.
Britain’s policy of Appeasement (May/June 1937 – March 1939) was also a cause of World War Two. Neville Chamberlain became the British Prime Minister on May 28, 1937, and followed the policy of appeasing Germany, believing that all Hitler wanted to do was unite German-speaking people. In doing so, Hitler would break the Treaty of Versailles but Chamberlain did not believe Hitler would cause war. Churchill disagreed, citing Mein Kampf (1924) where Hitler has written that Germany must regain lands ‘in the East… by the power of the sword.’ Little did Chamberlain know that he had misinterpreted Hitler’s aims.
Winston Churchill wanted to stop Adolf Hitler and wanted to make an air battle between Britain and Hitler forces (Germany). So the war began and Germany attacked first, Germany had more planes than Britain but Britain forces were way smarter first they had radar and second they had the Germans secret code which let them access and can hear what is their plan easily.
Is it misogynistic to believe, that in this day and age, women should not be allowed to do the same job as a man? No, unequivocally and resoundingly no. The simplest way to state this view is by making sure that everyone knows that men and women are in fact different. They are different in muscle mass, in mindset, and chemically. Men are built for war and fighting, women are built for child birth and nurturing. The sexes view most things in life differently so why would anybody think that there should be equality in something that is by nature masculine? Make no mistake, the military has but one single purpose and that is to fight the battles that writings and speeches can’t win.
The Munich Agreement, signed by Britain, France, Italy and Germany permitted German annexation of the Sudetenland in western Czechoslovakia. In 1938, Germans living in the border areas of Czechoslovakia (the Sudetenland) started to demand a union with Germany but the Czechs refused. Hitler threatened war. On 30 September, the Munich Pact was signed and Britain and France gave the Sudetenland to Germany, without asking Czechoslovakia.
From the time the Treaty of Versailles was completely ignored by Hitler, Germany was well underway causing a large riff between themselves and Britain and France.
