Recently, many Eastern Asian countries have been faced with the facts that the D.P.R.K or in other words North Korea, can and may launch a ballistic missile at their homeland. North Korea has been in the missile making business for about five and a half decades, and working frantically to develop an ICBM or intercontinental ballistic missile that can reach the mainland of the United States. The D.P.R.K’s main goal is to continue testing and finally launch a missile at the United States. This can be tracked down to the time of Kim Il Sung, and Soviet influence. When North Korea finally gets to the capacity, when they can launch an ICBM, they will not stop until the United States is destroyed. A few years later, Kim Il Sung, (D.P.R.K forever leader) decided to make a political decision to design and build ballistic missiles, later that year he made the Hamhung Military Academy that trained soldiers to properly use missiles. North Korea developed S.A.M or surface to air missiles, anti-ship missiles, and advanced rockets. Around 1967-1971 there was an estimate that North Korea increased their spending budget by 30%. There are many reasons which may have pushed North Korea to develop ballistic missiles. Kim Il Sung believe that the ballistic missiles were weapons to destroy the United States. Kim’s ideas occurred around the time of the Korean War (1950 - 1953) because America was on the opposing side or fighting against North Korea (North). America provoked North Korea by helping South Korea during the Korean War, so many of North Korea’s views came from the alliance system.
