A number of police officers set up a sting in which there were to be buy of crack cocaine outside an apartment complex in Lexington, Kentucky. Undercover Officer Gibbons watched the deal from an undercover car in a parking lot not far the from the sale area. After the deal took place, Office Gibbons radioed several other police officers. He instructed them to close in on the suspects. He advised the officers to “hurry and get there” because the suspect was making his way towards the breezeway of an apartment building. When police showed up to the house there was no vehicle parked in the driveway. To make sure somebody was home , they got out and went to the door . As they were walking the screaming and crying got louder. They knocked once, no answer, they knocked twice , No answer but the baby was still crying . On 1/16/17 at 0225 hours my partner, Officer Thebeau #8402, and I were working patrol assigned to unit 3A11. We responded to a radio call of “shots fired” in the area of 814 N. Garfield Ave. The comments of the call stated, a 19 year old female was shot in the hand.

Back on October 3, 1974 at approximately 10:45pm two Memphis police officers were on patrol and received a complaint from dispatch to respond to a burglary in progress (Tennessee v. Garner, 1986). Officers Leslie Wright and Elton Hymon took the call and responded to the location in question (Tennessee v. Garner, 1986). After arriving, a neighbor told the two officers she heard glass breaking next door and “they” were breaking into the home (Tennessee v. Garner, 1986). When an intruder came in a women's house, she grabbed a shotgun to protect her kids. Then when the guy came near she said "back up" and pointed the gun at him. Then when he moved closer to her and then she said, without thinking she shot the man. Then the man turned around and stumbled out of the house.
A judge was attacked by a known felon a week after he was released from prison. The judge was beaten and held captive in his home for two days due to his decision to incarcerate the gentleman fifteen years prior. During this time of being held captive, the judge repeatedly begged for him to let him go and apologized over and over again for his decision. Finally, after two days passed, the felon decides to leave the judge tied up in his home. The judge’s daughter had begun to worry about her father, so she called the local police to check on him. Once the police arrived, they found the judge tied up and bleeding from an open wound on his head. The officers began to ask questions as to what happened and if he knew who had done this to him.
Police responded to find Rosie, a 115-pound, 3-year-old Newfoundland dog sitting in her owner’s, Deirdre and Charles Wright’s, driveway. Dash-cam video recorded the officers’ conversation. Witnesses say the dog sat in the Wrights driveway until an officer tazed her, and then she ran southbound. Officers are then heard saying “Let’s just go shoot her.” (Rose Egge, KOMO Communities Reporter) Police stated that the dog was aggressive when they tried to subdue the dog and they had to protect themselves. An internal investigation has cleared the officers of any wrong doing and will not comment in regards to the pending lawsuit.
