For example teaching is one of the most important jobs in the U.S. The impact teachers have on their kids and what they teach them is one of the most important things in the world because the future and the future economy relies on the education of its youth. Yet teachers make a significant amount less than athletes. To show the significance, each basket Kobe Bryant scores in a game is equivalent to the average salary of a school teacher. The President, one of the most powerful people in our country and someone who makes decisions that change and impact the world daily gets paid $400,000 a year. An undrafted rookie beginning his new and not so very bright professional career in major league baseball makes way over that amount. Additionally firefighters, police officers, and doctors risk their lives everyday to save others for a fraction of what athletes make. Lawyers, business men, and astronauts are people who try and change the world for the better by exploring new ideas and the unknown and are also paid a fraction of what athletes are. While a vast amount of professional athletes across various sports are making millions, there are still many athletes who are not making this kind of money. Though these particular athletes are not making the big bucks, their salaries are still very close to the million mark and are extremely high when compared to the salaries of the average person. There are millions of people who save lives while a handful who are athletes. There are other dangerous jobs that do not get as much money as athletes. Firefighters who pull little kids out of burning buildings didn’t get that much.” As one can see athletes get paid too much compared to an average family. Doctors, who work so hard to take care of little children and adults, don’t get as much money either.Athletes should not get paid too much as there are other dangerous jobs that don’t get as much money as athletes.

There are people like doctors, police, firefighters, even EMT’s, people that save lives every day, that don’t even get half of that every year. So do the people that go out and play sports to entertain people deserve that much money?

The debate of if pro athletes are overpaid has hit an all time high with all the world debt going on.They are the best in the world at their jobs, but the money they make is in the mid to high millions. Athletes can perform on all time lows on high contrast and some can face injury problems. But they can also be in there prime, and could be worth every dollar. Professional athletes get paid tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars every day while some people get athletes daily payment in a whole year and most likely work harder than athletes to get it.
