Modern Scholars agree that there was a man named Jesus who was crucified and had a following of followers known as Christians that continued to pursue His teachings. It is a historical fact that followers of Jesus Christ existed in various places in the Roman Empire. It is also fact that various Christian churches and Christian communities were established in the mid-1st Century. It is hard to rationalize that over 40 churches came into existence in the mid-1st Century from the belief of a man sent from God, who performed mighty works, if that man didn’t exist.

The New Testament also provides a historical and trust worthy document of early Christianity and Jesus Christ. While maybe a thin slice of a percentage of modern scholars would argue that Jesus Christ never existed, that view is definitely unpopular among scholars. The same consider the theory of the existence of Jesus, being born from an invention of Christians, is implausible. Do you actually think that Christians would leave all behind to follow a fabricated being, with a synthetic make believe storyline of the faithful who follow Him, being granted eternal life? How many atheists would leave all to follow the Flying Spaghetti Monster, for the pursuit of perpetual pasta? None, the Flying Spaghetti Monster does not exist. History proves that followers of Christ existed after His crucifixion. Even the famed atheist Richard Dawkins even admits Jesus existed and was a real person in his John Lennox debate.
