The people there only live for about an average of 50 years while an average American lives for about 78 years, that’s at least 28 years taken away from them. Native Americans have been living a hard life ever since Columbus arrived in North America but, we need to change that. Native American have been living here before any of us, and we’re just living in their land. Native Americans have struggled since white people first arrived in North America. Some contemporary issues Native Americans face are their ability to prosecute crimes such as rapes against their community, as well as land rights, and the ability to be recognized by the government. It is important that we, as a country, address these issues.

What would you do if someone came to your home unexpectedly, and told you that you had to move whether you want to or not? That was the case for some Native Americans during the time of the Indian Removal Act. This act basically says that the Native Americans would be granted land, in exchange for their home territory, but many Native Americans disagreed with this act. The American government and society has played a substantial role in the decline of both the Native American and Inupiat culture. They created inhumane boarding schools and oppressing laws that inhibited those of a different culture from being themselves and partook in the urbanization of cultured communities. The following practices need to be stopped and never forgotten so that such ethnocide doesn't happen again.

If you don’t know the history about the Cherokee indians I am going to tell you in my essay. In my opinion i feel that the best chance of survival is to just accept new tribal lands and move west. After all the research about the Cherokee indians i feel if they want they tribe to be safe is to flea their land. The reasons i say the Cherokee should leave is because if they do leave they will be given 5,000,000 dollars and 7,000,000 acres of land. Another reason they should accept to move to the west is to prevent their tribe from being terminated by president andrew jackson by being attacked.

The United States government should give the Native American back their land.The natives were not bothering the people so why should they take their land. The government should give back their land because their ancestors grew the land for the Natives. The natives having their own land they were able to live how they wanted and the way they were taught from their ancestors. My reason they should get back their land is because of their ancestors, the natives were their first and they deserve their land.

Native Americans are losing their background and where they come from starting with culture and heritage that has been passed down to each generation. Not losing site of that, there is a chance in seeing the positive of preserving and continuing the culture and heritage of the Native Americans and bringing significance to ceremonies.

Yes, all native Americans should be allowed to do there ways of living. They have been doing it for hundreds of thousands of years they should never have it taken away from them. People adapt to ways of life and if you get used to one way of life, it would be extremely hard to change. I myself being a native American if it were to come down to it, I would try to negotiate and maybe have like a land watcher or something like that so that way people know we are not doing anything bad on are land like taking more fish than allowed or killing more animals than allowed. Ik it will never be up to me, but i wish that were an option because I would take that any day rather than have all of my rights srtiped and taken from me. Think of it like this

Minorities. A topic that most people wouldn’t want to talk about, mostly out of fear, some out of ignorance. Almost everyone in this world has it tough, but for some, like Native Americans, life never gets easier. For Native Americans, the source of their suffering comes from us, “newer” Americans. The only way our government has tried to ease their suffering was through the Native American Reservation System, the one and only pitiful excuse of an effort to help the people who never needed help in the first place. My argument for this assignment will be the fact that the Native American Reservation System has many faults and isn’t doing enough to protect our land’s ancestors, and that more should be done for Native Americans to have better lives. Some flaws include weak representation of Native Americans, unfair offerings of land, and complete isolation. While this is a very controversial topic, one side’s opinion definitely overpowers the other’s, and that side is all the corporate fat cats who make it big on selling and destroying land, even if it means destroying lives as well. The smaller side, both the Native Americans themselves and supporters of them, disagree with the cruel way land is taken from the one group that can’t fight back. This problem will never be resolved until that small voice grows louder. After all we’ve done to them, this is the least we can do.
