There was a horror and tragedy on Sunday , Oct. 1 mass shooting in Las Vegas. The shooting was dreadful because the shooting was at a concert. According to cbs news there is nearly one mass shooting per day. There needs to be more Gun control with gun control there would be less shootings around the world.

One characteristic of American culture trough out the years, has been its affinity for diverse weaponry, particularly guns. However, many do not realize that America’s relationship with guns is engraved into the very frames upon which the country was established. In the eightieth century, as a means for hunting and self-conservation during the American Revolutionary War and the American Indian War, it was established with the enactment of the American Constitution that “A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed”, also known as the Second Amendment. Over two hundred years ago our forefathers wrote the constitution of the United States and made our right to bear arms in the second amendment. However, many things have changed over the years and what seemed to be a great idea then, it doesn’t work now. I strongly believe that the government should make gun laws tougher and make it hard to own weapons. Certain laws should be in place to make it harder to obtain weapons. Stricter gun control laws will ensure drop in violent crimes, prevent household firearm accidents, and create a more peaceful society.
