The recent headline in the newspaper, “The Las Vegas attack is the deadliest attack in US history” makes me wonder, why is American government not tightening the law of gun control? The guns that had been used by the killer, were legal to buy; although, they were illegal to use. One might think how is that possible? It is possible because of the loop hall in system, buying the semi-automatic rifles is legal and, modified the rifle into the fire like automatic weapons, ‘which is known as a bump fire stock,’ is also legal in the USA, after the alteration that weapon becomes an automatic firearm; now it is illegal to use that weapon. Sad part is before or after modifying the rifle you do not need to contact the authorities. The question arose in mind, in this time and days, why would someone need guns? Why would someone need weapons which are used by the military?
Those who favor the ownership of gun they suggest, “Because of the second amendment, the US citizens have had right to own the gun, just like the other rights such as freedom of speech, religion, press, assembly and justice.”

He was an educated citizen; who was well settled. The law enforcement agents cannot find motive behind these unthinkable act; and that is what making me nerves. If this type of act will continue to grow, then at one-point humans will loss the faith from their own kind. Furthermore, the soldiers use their weapons to protect the citizens of the country; while people like this gunman uses their weapon to hurt the citizens. It is time to change the gun laws, to protect the incent civilians. Besides the America, in every other developing country, the citizens do not have any right to own the weapons. Because of their strict gun laws, the other countries have zero casualty from gun violence. In the USA, if people likes to keep the gun for their protection, then they can own a rifle not the semi-automatic
The second amendment of the Constitution guarantees the right of every American to bear arms. Therefore many supporters of gun ownership have been using this right to
Supporters of more gun control laws state that the Second Amendment was intended for militias; that gun violence would be reduced; that gun restrictions have always existed; and that most Americans, including gun owners, support new gun
There was a horror and tragedy on Sunday , Oct. 1 mass shooting in Las Vegas. The shooting was dreadful because the shooting was at a concert. According to cbs news there is nearly one mass shooting per day. There needs to be more Gun control with gun control there would be less shootings around the world.
One characteristic of American culture trough out the years, has been its affinity for diverse weaponry, particularly guns. However, many do not realize that America’s relationship with guns is engraved into the very frames upon which the country was established. In the eightieth century, as a means for hunting and self-conservation during the American Revolutionary War and the American Indian War, it was established with the enactment of the American Constitution that “A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed”, also known as the Second Amendment. (Constitution)
Over two hundred years ago our forefathers wrote the constitution of the United States and made our right to bear arms in the second amendment. However, many things have changed over the years and what seemed to be a great idea then, it doesn’t work now. I strongly believe that the government should make gun laws tougher and make it hard to own weapons. Certain laws should be in place to make it harder to obtain weapons. Stricter gun control laws will ensure drop in violent crimes, prevent household firearm accidents, and create a more peaceful society.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosions (ATF) is a federal law enforcement organization within the United States Department of Justice. Its responsibilities are very important. Which includes the investigation and prevention of federal offenses. These offenses include the unlawful use, manufacture, and possession of firearms and explosives; acts of bombings; and illegal trafficking of alcohol and tobacco products. Federal Regulations are issued by federal agencies, commissions, and boards. They explain how the agency intends to carry out the law. Federal Regulations are created through a process known as rulemaking.
The guns have been an integral part of American societies. Throughout the history, it has been using for protecting nation, self-defense, protecting family and hunting for food and sporting activities by the American citizens. But other hand, it is a most controversial, highly discussed, and making issue on the US politics that has been existing today. The 2nd Amendment of the American constitution provides rights to bear arms, but people are killing of acquitted babies, women and even mass day by day. How many innocent American should die to control gun and should all the citizens have that
"The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is to have a good guy with a gun.", states the National Riffle Association. The effectiveness of new gun laws are causing controversy between gun owners and non gun owners. Some newly passed laws are appropriate, but others go against the Second Amendment rites. Guns are not just pieces of metal; they are used in self defense, industries such as hunting, and in multiple combat situations. While gun control advocates have a couple of reasons to want guns taken away, the abundance of helpful uses exceeds the harmful ones.
Control is bad. The more control there is the less freedom we have. There are a lot of people that may say that gun control works, the simple fact is that those people do not know the difference between an assault weapon and an assault rifle. A assault weapon is a term used to describe a weapon that shoots one bullet per pull of the trigger, a assault rifle is a rapid fire, automatic weapon designed for the military use and sometimes confused for an assault weapon. Why would we listen to someone who does not have any knowledge about anything on the topic that they are trying to argue.
We the people are forming this Declaration of Gun Rights and Control in order to shed light and encourage gun control and stop senseless violence. The purpose of the Declaration of Gun Rights and Control is to regulate and/or ban the manufacture, sale, possession and use of firearms by civilians. The reasons for creating this declaration includes the need to stop mass shootings to protect citizens, clarifying the second amendment of the Constitution so that it is not used as an excuse to “bear arms,” and saving lives because of regulation. The Declaration of Gun Rights and Control is needed to restrict gun ownership and protect our people. According to CNN, gun violence kills 90 Americans every day. This is the time for the families
Gun control is a topic that has created many discussions in the story to those who can carry them or not since the US is one of the countries where access to all individuals is allowed without the due restrictions. Because of this, every day is more devastating when we hear about a massacre. Unfortunately, America has become in a little time in the country that leads the list of countries where more violent success occurred due to what is happening to our society. America 's gun problem is completely unique. First place in gun violence worldwide. It occupies the sixth place in gun homicide. The US by far the highest number of privately-owned guns in the world despite being a minority. Guns grow in an incredible way that goes from domestic
The United States is one of the few countries were the right to bear arms is protected by the constitution. Unfortunately, it is also one of the most violent with incidents involving guns this year reaching an estimated 36,212 and an approximate 9,050 deaths (“Gun Violence Archive”). There are an estimated 310 million firearms in households across American, these are only estimates because current gun laws do not require them to be registered or tracked. A more staggering estimate is that most of the guns owned by private citizens are semi-automatic guns, the same type of gun used in almost all mass shootings. While these privately owned guns are legally purchased, many times, they land in the hands of criminals, and owners never report them stolen. Mass shootings and gun crimes are not the only issues with gun violence the one never talked about is suicide, more guns available equals more suicides. The United States is one of the easiest countries to own a gun legally or illegally, stricter gun control laws are necessary.
While some people don't approve of gun control laws others disagree, saying that the laws keep people safe. An average of 10 people in each state are saved by gun control laws every week (factcheck.org). Did you know 3% of people are caught each year not following the laws of gun control. In a similar form there are violations of the laws were over 5% of people are making their own guns because they aren’t allowed to own a gun legally. Although with a variety of people making their own guns can cause almost ⅓ of the deaths each year. In conclusion to my topic, there should have gun control laws. study from 2005 to 2010 found that firearms were stolen in about 4 percent of the 2.4 million break ins involving ghost guns. Order to minimize the
Gun regulation has been a controversial topic since they were first established as a weapon. People for and against gun regulation provide strong arguments for their side. Gun regulation has fluctuated over time due to changes in office. Being a democracy prevents us from having consistency. As a nation we continue to change regulations on guns because of the different views our democracy allows us to have. The main aspects pose the most problems in gun control are violence, illegal sale of guns, and mental health checks.
Guns in the U.S has been a problem for many years now. So much so that America is what comes to mind when people think about guns. America is the most known nation in the world when it comes to firearms, with citizens owning about an astonishing 270 million of the world’s 875 million firearms(Marshall). That is thirty percent on the world registered firearms. The reason why Americans own so may guns comes down to the second Amendment, which claims, “A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” (Rauch) This grants the citizens from America the right to own and buy firearms. Since this amendment is vague, it comes down to
