Why Do Professional Athletes Get Paid

Baker Mayfield is going to college for free but he still deserves a portion of the money that the college makes. Colleges can make a upward of $100 MIllion from 1 sport and what do they do with all that money? Yes they may have expenses but they still have money left over. NCAA athletes deserve to get paid because for the most part their statistics are better, they make money for the college, and they are the future.

NCAA is a national business this day of time. At least half of the world is watching a college game when it’s on NCAA, They make over at least 3 million dollars every game. The college’s players get none of that money that’s getting paid to NCAA. The players are the ones that are putting in the work, staying overtime, and killing their body.

Since March 31st, 1906 , the day the NCAA was found, it has been making a hand full of money off of their athletes. College athletes are the face of the organization. The reason why most universities are very well known. Why college athletes aren't getting paid for their sweat, blood and tears, is the number 1 argument in today's sport world.

This money goes to the people at the top such as administrators and coaches. Shouldn’t the ones performing be getting a cut of this huge chunk of money? Though you may say that they get money in the scholarship what other money do they get to rent or buy other essentials.

Teachers should be paid the same amount as professional athletes because they have a major impact on kids from a young age, their job is difficult, and professional athletes do not need to be as much.
