On April 23rd to April 28th I stayed at Orlando, Florida for a trip with my family. During this trip I saw two parks in Universal. Each park had something different to offer and I absolutely both of them. The first park we went to was Universal Studios. Outside of the rides, we got to experience the different cities as we walked around the park. They themed areas to mimic important cities including New York, Hollywood, and San Francisco. From this, we learned the differences in music, food, and buildings between these major cities. Another cultural aspect in this part was the Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket. On this ride we got experience different types of music while we were thrown around on a roller coaster. During the ride we playe different
The first day we got there we just hanged out at the hotel all day. It was 78 degrees Fahrenheit and sunny. It was 8AM in the morning when I saw the pool. Now at first I was very disappointed that it was shutdown because they needed to put chemicals in it. At 11 it finally opened up and I was WOWED. The Pool was amazing. It was sparkling Blue and the water was as clear as glass. That's why we stayed in it all day. The second day we went to Sea World. We hadn't been to Sea World yet until that day where we learned why it's one of the best Disney parks. We entered at the gate where we saw the ride of a lifetime The Manta. The Manta is a ride that makes you go backwards on almost the whole ride. It is the scariest ride I have ever seen. None of my family did that for just that reason. First we went to the Dolphin show which was really cool. It was so cool because the actors and actresses would jump into the water and the Dolphins would come out and do tricks on them like skiing on top of them, and making them wave to the crowd. Then we to another show which is called Shamu. Shamu is a show about Wales that do all these tricks like splash us. I forgot to tell you but Garrett, Chloe, and I were all sitting in the splash zone and we were watching the Wales do all these tricks when the Disney people told us to get ready and Garrett and I didn't have enough time to react and two seconds later all of a sudden we got tsunamified, so soaked that there wasn't a single dry spot on my shirt. After that Chloe started crying and I had to bring her up to mom and dad who were in the last row of the stadium. Chloe was not happy for that part of the trip at Sea World. After both those shows it started raining so we finished up are day at going in a virtual helicopter and seeing all the Penguins and the Arctic Animals which was pretty cool. As soon as we got in the pilot we cranked that baby up until the heat felt like Florida instead of Maine. Speaking of Maine
Recently, at Universal Studios, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened up. This magical land is based off of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series, and includes fun rides, a Hogwarts replica, exciting shops, and even Moaning Myrtle in the bathrooms! This recent success is expected to help some, but hurt others. Disneyland might be seeing a loss of customers, due to this addition to Universal Studios. Disneyland is expected to lose business, but the wonderful land full of fairy tales has started competing for customers. Disneyland has started building a Star Wars themed development, the opening date has not been released yet. Who will win the war for service? Only time will
First and Foremost i would spend a day at universal.I would ride all the rides they have to offer roller coasters, water rides, and 3D movie theaters.I would see most of their attractions Transformers, Harry Potter, and Jurassic park. I would try out some of their restaurants pizza places, seafood places, and deserts shops. I really
Amusement parks are a great form of entertainment for families and individuals. Walt Disney World resort and Universal Orlando resort are two popular theme park destinations which provide enjoyment to many worldwide visitors on a daily basis. Although both resorts share similarities, they also have numerous differences which set them apart from each other – creating a unique vacation experience for each visitor.
Every year as a tradition my family gets together to go on a vacation to Orlando, Florida during the summer. Though it may be the same location every year, we create new experiences with each visit. As a tradition we go on a ten hour road trip to city of Disney World. During the ride we listen to the playlist my dad made for the car ride.Rick Astley plays in the background as we sing along to the classic road trip tunes. Til this day whenever “Never Gonna Give You Up” comes on I immediately reminisce the car rides to Orlando. Upon arriving we explore the amusement parks Orlando has to offer. Every heart jittering ride, particularly ‘The Hulk’ at Universal Studios, is worth the wait just to complete an experience of a lifetime. Each summer I
Mention Orlando and images of theme parks come to mind for most people, and for good reason. The city is the home of many of the world’s
The learning vacation has begun, this year my grandmother didn’t let me pick where we would take our annual summer trip. I begged and I pleaded to please let us go to Disney World. But she insisted that we go on a “learning vacation.” So instead of heading south to see Mickey, we are driving North to the Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota. I know more about Mickey Mouse than Theodore Roosevelt and I would rather go to Disney.
Later while we were driving back to Hollywood I asked myself,”How can i make my amusement park unique and unlike all of the other ones?” “Maybe i can incorporate my cartoons into the park to make it more interesting and unique,” I explained to myself. “I’ll make all of the rides based off of part of the cartoon series,” I informed myself.
My Mom, Grandma and I flew out two days before my Dad and Nathan did. My Mom has short blond hair, wears glasses and is outgoing. My Grandma wears glasses, has short grey hair and is very nice. On the first day, my Mom and I went to Discovery Cove where we were in a program called “Trainer For a Day”. In this program, we got to swim with the dolphins, snorkel and learn about how everything works around the park. The next day my Grandma and I went to SeaWorld. I really enjoyed it because I love learning about marine life. We tried to do everything we could that day. When my brother Nathan and my Dad arrived that’s when we went to Universal Studios, Epcot, and Magic Kingdom. Nathan has brown hair, wears glasses and it kind. My Dad is tall, has short black hair and is funny. I loved riding the roller coasters with them because they make everything fun. I can’t wait to go
My topic is on Six Flags, an amazing amusement park in St. Louis. This place has so much imagery located inside the park, here in a few moments I will explain. On my way to Six Flags we seen buildings, they were tall as a giant, people was crowding all around the buildings they all looked like clusters of itty-bitty ants because, they were so many, and also they were walking street to street, I also seen the Gateway Arch which was tall and you can see everything while you are in there, even the Cardinal’s Game, and hotels which have swimming pools on the top! I would really would love to have stayed in a hotel that had a swimming pool on the very top of the building..
One of the reason I am studying Hospitality is for the amusement parks. I love the thrill, the excitement and my favorite part, the food. The amusement park is not only rich in entertainment but also in history, present and advanced ideas for the future.
However, it wasn’t just any amusement park. It was one that catered to all his demands, and expectations. When Disney was little, his little sister had always dreamed of going to one of the amusement parks near their home, for they didn’t have enough money to go themselves. Disney wanted his sister’s dream to come true for kids and adults alike all across the country. With his brother Roy, he opened “Disney Bros. Studio”.
Two of the biggest theme parks in Orlando, Florida are Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Florida. Both of the theme parks are huge competitors when it comes to getting customers and money. In this essay I will show you which of the two theme parks is better than the other, by using multiple different categories that theme parks use when making their parks.
Thesis: While many people tend to think Disney is for children, these mere amusement parks permit adults to suspend everyday reality through a variety of experiences. When I go to Disneyland, I am am enchanted, entertained, and treated like royalty. Description: Disneyland has always held a certain charm for me as an adult. I don’t have a reference point of ever having been there as a child.
Have you ever had a good or bad time at Disney World? Well, I have experienced a bit of both. My trip to Disney World had some real highs and lows of it.
