Why Go To College Straight Out Of High School?

People have a big decision to make once they graduate high school. They have to ask themselves, “Do I go to college immediately, or do I take some time off?” If I were to ask myself that question, I would say, “I’m going to go to college right after high school.” I think it is better to go and get it over with right after high school. My reasons for this are, it is easier to continue an education if I go immediately, I will be done earlier, and I will have time to enjoy life later.

Going to college will set the basis for your career pathway in the future. High school students contemplate that college is not the right choice for them, but there are multiple benefits that come with a college degree. If students decide to attend college, they may considerate it a waste of time and stress. Unlike high school for some, college needs taken seriously. Attending college prepares and gives you knowledge on what to expect when you start the career. Those who attend college are more than likely to get a higher wage job then individuals who decided not to join.

There are a few reasons why one might not want to go to college. Paying for college, wanting to get in the workforce, and not wanting to leave home are some reasons why someone would choose to not go to college. Some colleges can be expensive, so some do not want to pay for it. Other people want to start working as soon as they get out of high school and make money. Most people who go to college do not say at home and some are not ready to leave their house right after high school. These are some reasons people do not go to college, but the benefits make it worthwhile.

I’ve just entered my senior year of high school. I know that this is a very important year. I have a lot of decisions to make and not much time to make them. These decisions will either make or break my life, and I want to make sure that I make them to the best of my ability because there is no turning back.
