Why Have Curfews A Good Idea?

My opinion is that curfew was set to protect minors but, there are plenty of reason why a minor would be out passed curfew and there should be system where some minors can exempt the law like having parental permission.

Although having a curfew for it to be illegal for teenagers to be on the streets after ten o’clock p.m. on weekdays or after midnight on weekends would be beneficial in exceptional and deficient ways, many citizens will disagree with having a curfew. The eminently important reason Dierks, Arkansas, should have a teenage curfew is for the security of the teenagers. Another reason is for the parent to have control over their child, instead of their child being undisciplined. On the other hand, having a curfew could hinder maturity.

Curfew is when teens cannot go outside from home and cannot hang out with friends at midnight. People like curfews because they think teens may learn responsibility and can work till night. However, some people dislike curfews because it will do nothing to make the cities safer. Curfew is a good idea because it keeps safe from crime and prevents alcohol and drugs from teens. A city curfew just will make teenagers want to stay out even longer. If a city decides to make a curfew that says teenagers cannot stay out later than ten on weekdays and twelve on weekends will just make them have to sneak out and be breaking the law while they are at it! So if you are the city council I have one question for you, would you rather let the teenagers stay out as long as their parents let them or make them just break the law?

Although many people think teenagers should be home by 10, but I think teenagers should have the curfew because they are young adults, they know right from wrong, they should know not to get in trouble.

Many teenagers have a set time they have to be home by their parents. Usually teenagers must be home from dates and nights out with friends by anywhere from 10 o’clock at night to 2 o’clock in the morning. Each parent has extremely different curfews set for their children, based on the individual level of responsibility and trust levels. Some local government decides to set their own curfews, to keep teens off the streets at night and out of trouble. In Detroit teen crime dropped 6% at night due to curfew but went up 13% in the day that is just one reason why teen curfew does not work. It is a wonderful idea for teens to have curfews because it teaches them to be responsible and also considerate of other people around them. The city council is thinking about adopting a curfew. There would be a 10 P.M curfew on weekdays and a midnight curfew on weekends for teens. A curfew will be a great thing for teens because it will keep teens out of trouble, keeps them safe, and also helps keeps their parents from worrying about them. Other people disagree though and think teens shouldn't have a curfew.

Having a teenage curfew is ineffective and useless. Many people argue that the curfews are necessary because it will keep young people out of trouble. They also say that teenagers are more likely to get in trouble late than they would during daylight. Teens are looked at as the age group that causes the most trouble, and society targets them when it comes to matter for crime, however many people believe that teens are responsible for a large percentage of crimes and that having a curfew in effect will help lower crime rates. I disagree with this because I don't think teenagers should be forced to follow a ridged time schedule because of a curfew.
