I remember being an anxious eighth grader thinking about starting my freshman year of high school. We went from being at the top of the school to being at the bottom of a new one. All of our middle school teachers always told us about how our high school teachers wont “hold our hands” and how we will be on our own. Being in high school is completely different than being in elementary school and middle school. Its almost like each year we have more and more freedom but more responsibility.

Entering high school is the beginning of a whole new learning experience. Transitioning from middle school, high school presents more classes, students, and a bigger campus. It brings new expectations and responsibilities to each of us. High school also offers fresh chances to make new friends, try new sports and activities, and really explore who we are as individuals. The goal is to maintain good grades, score high on the SAT test, and keep a positive attitude so colleges and universities will accept you. Of course it's not as easy at sounds, but it's achievable. When I thought about coming to high school, I thought it would be horrible. People would always say that there are evil teachers that give you a week's worth of homework and only give you a few hours to do it, disgusting lunches that never want to make you look at food again, and P.E. classes that work you so hard you'll want to throw up. Now that I'm here I see that high school isn't all that bad. Although I'm sure their out there somewhere, I haven't gotten any teachers that give out a ton of homework. The school lunches aren't bad at all, in my opinion. And the P.E. classes haven't started but I went to Prescott so I think I'll do just fine in that category. High School can be a terrifying experience to a freshman, but what we need to understand, is that it can be fun, if you let it be. If you join clubs and get involved then your highschool experience will be a good one, also you need to keep good friends close, but still make new ones, and you have no idea what a person is going through, be nice to everyone because it might be the worst day they’ve ever had.

Life should be like a kite, floating peacefully in the air above everything. Of course life isn't like that, because there are times the wind will blow you around too much; taking you places you don't want to go. High school can be a part of that and make things hard, but it can also be easy; although, there are conflicts that arise during the year, and it's better to keep your personal life separate from school life.

High school is a very interesting time in your life. These are truly the years in which you transition into adulthood and begin to have a greatened sense of self-determination. You must take this as an opportunity to explore your world and yourself. High school is undoubtedly a place to learn, and this applies to many areas outside of your classroom, and in order to learn all you can, it is best to dive fearlessly into all facets of high school life.

To the common eighth grader the thought of going to high school is both thrilling and terrifying. While high school may seem overwhelming at first; following simple guidelines will make your freshmen year more enjoyable.

First,i’m going to tell you how boring it is.When you get to high school you have more rules.These rules are very important.So if you break just one,your in whole alot of trouble.Next they give you more hard work then middle school.In high school their are more teachers.They make you study as hard as you can.But if you don’t study you fell the test.The other and final thing I don’t like about high school is that you stay longer than before.That is the things I don’t like about high school.

People never told me high school was going to bw such a breeze. I have became a very independent person during high school. I always have great friends to rely on. We would alway play sports together. Having these two things are a major key to a successful high school carrer. For rising 8th graders it is important to find a dependable friend and involve yourself in actives.

Let 's start from the beginning. High school for me was a period of transition in my life. A stage of growth, hormonal changes, molding of the personality. Going from middle school to high school I realized that it was not the same thing: we had a different building, we crossed the hallways with older students; the teachers were different. t was supposed to be focused on getting good grades, making my parents feel proud of me and taking advantage of the great opportunity that was given to me which was to have been in one of the best bilingual schools in a country as poor as the Dominican Republic.

Throughout high school every teacher told me how much harder college was going to be and to an extent they were not wrong. College has been harder but not in the way I had expected. I have encountered some things that are way more challenging than high school and something that I find much easier.

High school doesn't have to be all that bad, you just have to make it your own. Try new things you normally would and have a good time! Even if you hate school you can still have fun with it, all the clubs and activities will make your high school experience more fun and may even keep you motivated to try your

In high school, you actually have to be accountable for your actions, and do your work to pass classes. Teachers rarely give breaks, but when they do, they are earned. I got by grade school with no problems getting all “A’s”. Junior high gets a little harder but you are still babied to an extent. I learned most of my important values in high school when I had to take responsibility for myself. This year I got it together and I am aiming to do very well and hopefully my goals become a reality.
