It is a great honor to be among the commendable students who are being considered for the National Honor Society. The National Honor Society is discernible for showing an interest in students with exemplary grades, great character, leadership, and service. Everything I try, I give all my effort, for example, in track I show good sportsmanship and cheer on my fellow athletes at every meet. I also show great leadership qualities.

I believe that National Junior Honors Society can use an excellent student such as myself. Many of my teachers say that I am a hard worker with an amazing attitude. In sixth grade I attended Cambridge Academy and was elected President of my school, even though it was my first year there. I encouraged classmates by competing with them to see who gets the better grade. During my time of presidency I read the morning announcements. At assemblies I led the pledge of allegiance. Student council and I volunteered at the United Food Bank and helped sort food. Finally, I helped organize school activities and dances. I enjoy playing most sports. During sport activities I am often elected captain. Last year I was on the football team and even if we
I believe that I should be in English 9 honors for freshman year. I think this because I have worked really hard to get where I am in school and think that I can only improve. Honors English is a challenge I would like to work for. This year most of my grades in ELA have been 3.5s although there are people that get better grades I am willing to improve and push to be in a high level class. I would like to push to the best of my abilities in high school and work hard and being in an honors class would let me be able to do that. The work load will not bother me because I believe it is worth it. In high school I would like to challenge myself in ways I never got to in middle school. I am looking to learn at a faster pace than I have been learning
I am interested in taking English 9 Honors because I hope my future career will be based on English skills such as writing and reading. In my future, I hope to be a lawyer, which is a more difficult job and I will need an advanced level of English skills. I thought taking an advanced level of English will help me reach my goal of becoming a lawyer. I also decided to take this class because I really love and understand the topic of English. I have always loved to read on my own time and in school and adored writing, from poems to stories and many other writing forms. Since I have the pretty good understanding of English I want to work harder to learn more about English skills. In English 9 honors my expectations regarding this class is a more
The reason I’m taking English 100 is to get myself into English 101. I didn’t score high in the placement test so I started from English 98, and now I’m in English 100. So baby steps I was never really good in English or writing essays I always had a huge struggle with it. Trying to make my paragraphs flow but I know I’ve gotten much better since I’ve started from the bottom and little by little making my way up. I prefer not to take English but its mandatory to take to get my Associates Degree. My expectations in this class is to not struggle writing essays being confident knowing I can pass this class with a B average. I want to be able to learn to correct my own paper, and not having so many errors. My weakness in English is having
As a member of National Honors Society, I hope to contribute towards being involved and helping to improve our community both in and out of the school environment. Within school, I do my best to represent myself academically and challenge myself to new material when given the opportunity. This can be reflected by my grades and GPA, which I will continue to work on as my high school career progresses. I have always done whatever it took to keep myself in the honor roll, and have kept myself within that range ever since middle school when honor roll started to be announced. I not only represent myself academically, but I represent our school when doing activities such as sports and music. My skills are well pronounced in whatever extracurriculars
The Honors College at ECU should admit an exceptional students such as myself because I consider my education to be the paramount element for my success in the near future. Although I am a student athlete I never forsake my education for my sport, track, because I know that my sport will only take me as far as a scholarship to ECU but won't be of much help after that. As I consider my education above my sport, I tutor my team mates in math because that's what they have a hard time understanding. Not only do I tutor but my teammates and I also volunteer around the community by raking leaves and shoveling snow during the fall and winter which helps us out if they would like to support the team with a donation. I like to hold myself to a higher
I believe the program is searching for a student that exemplifies great academic achievement, strong leadership qualities, good work ethic, and strong dedication. These qualities ensure that the student is willing and able to complete the requirements of the honors program and go above and beyond them. Great academic achievement is an important factor for the program because it shows that the student has the ability to undertake the challenge of the program. I believe I have the ability to undertake this challenge because my grades have lead me to receive academic honors and offers. I was honored through my induction into the National Honors Society following after my junior year.
First, I would like to be in National Honors Society because I want to help my community and school. I love to volunteer in my community. Over the past summer I did a program called Summer in the City. During this program I would help paint buildings, help plant a garden, and help play with kids in a camp in Detroit. My favorite part was playing with the kids. It made me feel good to see them smile. I also volunteered at the snowman shuffle race put together by berkley. I put together the concession stand after the race. I loved being able to help others put things together. I enjoy helping my community.
Last year, I received a commendable G.P.A of 4.4. This proves that I not only take difficult courses like Honors and Ap classes, but also contribute great amount of hard work and dedication to overcome those challenges and succeed. Other than my transcript, I received man recognition for my academic achievements. I attended many Honor Rolls and received Academic Letter Award every year. In addition, I also participated in competitions, like Junior Math Leagues, Science Fair, and NHD(National History Day), to test my knowledge in academics. I competed in the Science Fair and won first place in school division. In NHD, I have received first place in school, district, and state competition. By participating in these competition, it motivates me to strive higher. Lastly, I am a member of NAHS(National Art Honor Society), NSHS(National Spanish Honor Society), NMHS(National Math Honor Society), and Tri M Music Honor Society. This demonstrates my high interest and excellence in all four subjects: Art, Spanish, Math, and

From what I see, the easiest way to do this is have money, connections, a growth mindset, mindfulness, or have a love and desire to do something. Programs such as the American Honors Program is nothing more than a building block for success-- molding and shaping the current me to having a better future.
I have been on the honor roll every trimester for almost three years now. My grades have never dropped below an 80% which shows that I take my education very seriously and that I take pride in my work.
Besides, I am a student that does not only persistently works hard academically, but also I constantly try to improve my own community’s quality of life by doing volunteer work and it has always been a goal for me to return back to my community that helped me a lot during high school and even now in college. I believe education is the key to success, and I try to connect my passion for education with my desire of helping others. As a result, I decided that the honors program was the perfect way to fulfill this educational goal that I
