I. INTRODUCTION When searching for a potential employer, people search for many attributes that make up a company. For some that could mean the type of morals the company stands behind, the overall outlook of the company, or even their management style. The list is endless, but ultimately management style is the determining factor between taking interest and backing off of the company completely. If a management team of a company doesn 't treat their employees with a certain amount of respect, employees are more likely to search for a job elsewhere. That being said, a well built, supportive management team is one element all employees search for and stick with. Google, Inc is known worldwide as the number one company to work for – their management style just might be the reason why. II. OVERVIEW AND WHY I SELECTED GOOGLE Created by two Stanford University students in 1996 named Larry Page and Sergy Brin Google Inc, formally known as BackRub, was created. The name “Google” came from a play on a word “googol,” which is a mathematical term for a 1 followed by 100 zeros – meant to reflect Page and Brin 's desire to give an infinite amount of web results (Koller, 2004). Google was not formally born until 1998 when Sun co-founder Andy Bechtolsheim wrote a check for $100,000 to Google 's entity, which at the time did not exist (Frost & Kopytoff, 2004).
