Why I Chose To Go To College Instead Of Heading Straight

There was many reasons why I decide to attend college. I am extremely tired of applying for distinctive positions and being rejected for not having a degree. I'm a supervisor now over thirty employees when I see different positions opening in management or higher position. I apply on behalf of the job, gain being interviewed for my experience. Nevertheless, not having a college degree really afflicts me. As a result, I decided to attend college and further my education.

A majority of people these days are planning or are going to college. These people have many reasons for going to college. The option of going to college is a major decision and there are many factors that are considered in making this decision. One of the many reasons of making the decision to go to college is to receive a bigger salary. Another reason is for the opportunities that become available from going to college. People also decide go to college to be better prepared and successful in the future.

After reading “Even for Cashiers College Pays Off” by David Leonhardt my decision to attend college did not change. When graduating from college with any degree give a better chance at life. The ability to get a better job that pays more and is within your interest are all possible because of the college degree one has acquired over the years. Even though many may think otherwise I have no choice but to attend because I promise my deceit sister that I will attend college to accomplish my dream of becoming a computer engineer. I intend to keep my promise because I never go back on my work. That's a fact.

I want to to go to college for something that I love. When I’m done with college and have a job, I want to know that it was all worth it. My motivation isn’t my parents. My parents aren’t going to be there to make all my decisions and tell me what to do. Going to college is my ultimate decision. Secondly my ultimate motivation to go to college is for the money. I want to be able to support my future self and also my family when the time comes. Lastly I want to go to college so I can get a degree. Many jobs now a days require that you have a degree. According to the article “Even for Cashiers College Pays Off” by David Leonhardt he states, “ Education helps people do higher- skilled work, get jobs with better-paying companies or open their own businesses.” Many workers alike benefit from having a high-school diploma and a college degree. People acquire many valuable skills while in college. Either way, the skills that colleges teach, related to discipline and persistence, may be more valuable than academics. Lastly, college is important to me because it helps me teach my children and others that if you want it bad enough you will stick with it and make it happen. It teaches me that I can not help others if I have not been trained and taught to do so. I want my kids and others around me to see me going back to school after 13 years and succeed in the career of my dreams. I want my family to be proud of me and I hope one day my children will see that you can’t make it in the world without a education. So I want to help others by encouraging them to keep going and to strive to do their best and they will make it and be able to support their family like I am trying to do. As Sylvia Porter once said, “Invest in yourself and your education. There’s nothing better.” I have made that quote my motto until I finish schooling.

After four years of high school, there is only one goal I have in mind. That goal is to attend college. This is the next big step in my life. All the late nights I stayed up to complete school assignment was for this moment. All my hard work was has lead me to this point in life. College will open a whole new to me. A world where I can meet new people while working to improve my future. Why do I want to attend college though? Well I have three specific reasons for this decision.

I would like to attend college because I want to be successful in life, I understand it is getting harder to get a job with only a high school diploma and it is sure to get worse. My goals for the future include getting into a college with a good teaching and mathematics program, this could give me a variety of jobs and I was speaking to someone and they told me that people are looking out for women who have a degree in mathematics which will help me to obtain a good paying job.

There might be a time where people ask you, “why are you in college” or “why to decide to go to college.” People might reply by saying that they want a degree, that they want a higher paying job, or they need that for a future career that they are pursuing. Those responses are the most typical reason of why people go to college. Sure you can say that having a degree means that a person can get a better job with better pay rather than working in the manual labor fields with minimum pay. A college degree is the fundamental stepping stone to the future, it lays the foundation of where to start. College is everything to me; I’m in college so I’m able to unlock more potential in myself, to be able to make my mother proud with everything that she has done and hopefully becoming the first.

A reason why I chose to go to college was to find a good job. People who do not go to college end up with a job they do not like. With college, I can choose the field of work I enjoy, unlike being forced to work in a field of work just to make ends meet. For example, my field of study is an electronic engineer. I decided to attend college because I'd like to be better educated. I hate sitting in a room, talking to someone who has no idea what they're talking about.
