6) I chose to go to college instead of heading straight into the workplace after high school because I want to further my education in a field to acquire a job in. I want to be able to have a job that is in my interest and that I will love instead. Continuing my education is going to expand my horizons, and help me to increase my knowledge of the world around me. While furthering my education through college, I am also working to make my family proud of me, to show that I am preparing to live on my own and to head into the work force. During this process, I am also learning to be able to provide for my future
There was many reasons why I decide to attend college. I am extremely tired of applying for distinctive positions and being rejected for not having a degree. I'm a supervisor now over thirty employees when I see different positions opening in management or higher position. I apply on behalf of the job, gain being interviewed for my experience. Nevertheless, not having a college degree really afflicts me. As a result, I decided to attend college and further my education.
A majority of people these days are planning or are going to college. These people have many reasons for going to college. The option of going to college is a major decision and there are many factors that are considered in making this decision. One of the many reasons of making the decision to go to college is to receive a bigger salary. Another reason is for the opportunities that become available from going to college. People also decide go to college to be better prepared and successful in the future.
After reading “Even for Cashiers College Pays Off” by David Leonhardt my decision to attend college did not change. When graduating from college with any degree give a better chance at life. The ability to get a better job that pays more and is within your interest are all possible because of the college degree one has acquired over the years. Even though many may think otherwise I have no choice but to attend because I promise my deceit sister that I will attend college to accomplish my dream of becoming a computer engineer. I intend to keep my promise because I never go back on my work. That's a fact.
I want to to go to college for something that I love. When I’m done with college and have a job, I want to know that it was all worth it. My motivation isn’t my parents. My parents aren’t going to be there to make all my decisions and tell me what to do. Going to college is my ultimate decision. Secondly my ultimate motivation to go to college is for the money. I want to be able to support my future self and also my family when the time comes. Lastly I want to go to college so I can get a degree. Many jobs now a days require that you have a degree. According to the article “Even for Cashiers College Pays Off” by David Leonhardt he states, “ Education helps people do higher- skilled work, get jobs with better-paying companies or open their own businesses.” Many workers alike benefit from having a high-school diploma and a college degree. People acquire many valuable skills while in college. Either way, the skills that colleges teach, related to discipline and persistence, may be more valuable than academics. My motivation to keep going to and go to college has always been my own expectations of being able to to reach the highest point of success in doing what i want in
Lastly, college is important to me because it helps me teach my children and others that if you want it bad enough you will stick with it and make it happen. It teaches me that I can not help others if I have not been trained and taught to do so. I want my kids and others around me to see me going back to school after 13 years and succeed in the career of my dreams. I want my family to be proud of me and I hope one day my children will see that you can’t make it in the world without a education. So I want to help others by encouraging them to keep going and to strive to do their best and they will make it and be able to support their family like I am trying to do. As Sylvia Porter once said, “Invest in yourself and your education. There’s nothing better.” I have made that quote my motto until I finish schooling.
After four years of high school, there is only one goal I have in mind. That goal is to attend college. This is the next big step in my life. All the late nights I stayed up to complete school assignment was for this moment. All my hard work was has lead me to this point in life. College will open a whole new to me. A world where I can meet new people while working to improve my future. Why do I want to attend college though? Well I have three specific reasons for this decision.
I would like to attend college because I want to be successful in life, I understand it is getting harder to get a job with only a high school diploma and it is sure to get worse. My goals for the future include getting into a college with a good teaching and mathematics program, this could give me a variety of jobs and I was speaking to someone and they told me that people are looking out for women who have a degree in mathematics which will help me to obtain a good paying job.
There might be a time where people ask you, “why are you in college” or “why to decide to go to college.” People might reply by saying that they want a degree, that they want a higher paying job, or they need that for a future career that they are pursuing. Those responses are the most typical reason of why people go to college. Sure you can say that having a degree means that a person can get a better job with better pay rather than working in the manual labor fields with minimum pay. A college degree is the fundamental stepping stone to the future, it lays the foundation of where to start. College is everything to me; I’m in college so I’m able to unlock more potential in myself, to be able to make my mother proud with everything that she has done and hopefully becoming the first.
============Many people have either gone to college for many generations or they will be the first members of their family to ever go to college. For some the idea of going to college has been heavily pushed by those in their family. However, going to college should be a personal decision. For example, some people going to college is so that they can have they can have a secure future as they grow older. Some people may not realize this, but there are a lot of options and opportunities available for those with just a high school diploma. Even though not having a degree can limit some options there are plenty of careers out there that do not require a degree. Also, a person could become successful just from working “From the Bottom Up.” However, going to college could potentially lead to more opportunities in the future. College is a way for a person to “invest in them self” (Attending College). College can give someone the
I decided to go to college because I felt like this could be a way for me to experience new things and help me get to where i wanna be in the future by doing something I love. I wanted a better education other than just having a High School Diploma. I was very fortunate to go to college, so I want to make the best of it. Going to college is way for me to make good life decisions that would be beneficial for me in life. Also, it is a great way for me to acquire a successful good paying job and to teach me how to learn new skills on my own. In college, I hope to figure my strength and weaknesses so i can be aware on different areas that i need to improve on. Establishing an academic goal is another achieve for me because, making good grades and
I decided to go to college because I believe that education is an important part of life and that being educated has many advantages. Like many, one of the biggest reasons for deciding to attend college is to create a better future for myself. Being a first-generation college student my parents have implanted on me the importance of college education, as it is something they wish they would have done themselves. As the first of four children to go to college, I feel that it is my responsibility to be a good example to my younger siblings, and show them that it is important to have goals in life and to better yourself as a person through education. I understand that an university education may not be for everyone, but it felt like the right choice for me. What I hope to get out of college is a life-changing experience, not only to get a better education, but to find something I am truly passionate about. I think it is important when choosing a career or a major to find something your heart truly wants and not just a career that will make you able to afford expensive things. I also hope that somewhere along the path to graduation and adulthood, I find myself as a person and develop ideas, opinions, and to be able to approach the world with an
I am motivated by my dreams, being more success and also living a better life. In the great words of Nelson Mandela “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world’’. So it’s very important to be ahead in life and for me to be focus of my career goals and what I want to accomplish. College also gives you great experience in the fields and real life training, college can also enhance skills set on computers and areas of work that high school didn’t teach you, so it’s important for me to get the education I need. A degree also can provide me with promotions in the near future.
A reason why I chose to go to college was to find a good job. People who do not go to college end up with a job they do not like. With college, I can choose the field of work I enjoy, unlike being forced to work in a field of work just to make ends meet. For example, my field of study is an electronic engineer. Without college, I cannot achieve that goal. Therefore, I would have to sell myself short.
I decided to attend college because I'd like to be better educated. I hate sitting in a room, talking to someone who has no idea what they're talking about. I more wanted to be educated because I want to change the world, I know i can make a difference and I know an better educated person has an easier time. If for some reason I could go to college, I would be a flight attendant. I would love to travel the world and learn about other cultures and get paid for it at the same time. Culture should be shared among different people. I want to meet people who aren't like me to broaden my horizons.
For me, the reason that why I go to the college is everyone in my senior high school does it.Most of students in Taiwan who have graduated from high school, they go to college rather than find a job. There are two reasons why I follow most of people’s footsteps to enter into college. First, I don’t truly realize what I pursue. Instead of thinking what I desire, I just has been taught to learn the knowledge of textbooks during schooldays. Second, I still have no ideas what kind of occupation is suitable for me. I consider that if I go to college, maybe I can get some ideas during four years. Therefore, I choose to continue with studying in order to figure out what I want to do in the future. In conclusion, I choose to follow most of people’s
