A pharmacist is a trained professional, who is qualified to inform, dispense, and prepare therapeutic drugs for patient and customers. It is the pharmacist’s job to take care of costumer’s prescription and medication needs. The pharmacist acts on doctor’s order, who has prescribed certain medicines for the patient condition at a certain time. Since I was a little kid, I have always been fascinated by medicine and the effect it has on the body. Growing up, I realize that people who specialize in medicine are called Pharmacist. That why I have chosen to pursue a career in pharmacy. So I would unlimited access to medicines and the effects it has on the body. Hopefully at some point, I will be able to develop my own type of medicine. To be a pharmacist, I am required to complete at least two years of undergraduate coursework at a two or four years college. As a student pursuing a career to become a pharmacist, I am not required to major in a specific subject. However, I am required to take courses in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Math, English, and History in my undergraduate years to prepare for pharmacist school. After undergraduate courses, I need to have a good score on the PCAT, which is an entrance exam to pharmacy school, to be accepted in to a pharmacy school. Pharmacy school takes four years to complete and prepare students for the technical, healthcare, and patient care of being a pharmacist.
