More than just an Education
As a college student, one of my main goals is to earn my degree in college and start working in the medical field. But, another thing I want to achieve is to gain knowledge that will help me survive the real world outside of just working. Attending USF will help me reach both of my goals because it is a Christian Liberal Arts School. Here, I will not only learn about Computer Science and Biology, but I will also be well rounded when I leave because of what our School is. The University of Sioux Falls will not only enable me to do what I love but it will also teach me important morals and creative topics that general education could not.
The Christian Liberal Arts education is very important to me and I’ve had a lot of experience and learning about my faith. I graduated from O’Gorman which is a Catholic High school here in Sioux Falls. Apart from learning the core classes, I learned so much about my faith and how great God really is. Growing up in a Catholic School system gives me a familiar background going in to college here at USF. Getting to

By teaching me this, it lets me be the unique individual that I am. It will also enable me to do what I love and focus on the activities that I am passionate about. One of the biggest goals that I have for college is to become a lot more independent. During my high school years, I was not very independent at all, I was very dependent on my parents and elders around me. The experience of being a part of a Liberal Arts Education will help me get used to solving problems by myself and being more independent. Also, I feel like the education here is more “full” than other universities. Learning about the Bible and more about my faith in general is so compelling to me because at other colleges that really isn’t an
Christendom College offers many compelling reasons that have increased my desire to attend this great school. Some of the things that I love about my high school are found at Christendom, such as its challenging, Classical curriculum. I simply loved the classes I was able to attend at the Summer Program and found that I felt at home in those lectures, which were deeply rooted in our Catholic faith. The lectures helped us examine their relevance in our own lives and encouraged us to always seek the truth. I observed that this inspired the whole class to consider the situations and messages in the themes we discuss in class, such as the value of friendship or how history shapes our identity.
Including my spiritual experience at CBU, I will be able to understand my religion more. Including, that all the staff members being 100% Christian, I could ask a question that I may have and the could help me find an answer. Having to attend the school's chapel I know that I can get closer to God and understand his word, and be able to follow in his footsteps that will help me grow as an adult. With this spiritual growth from attending CBU, will be vast and helpful with me growing into a mature and responsible
The University offers a strong foundation in the humanities and sciences, as well as undergraduate and graduate degree programs through seven schools. Students benefit from small classes and opportunities for research, leadership development and unique learning experiences on campus and around the world. SMU is dedicated to shaping world changers. It prepares students to make an impact through their chosen professions and service to society. SMU was founded by what is now The United Methodist Church in partnership with civic leaders. This is the main thing I appreciate about this school. I appreciate how much they put in into being a leader for yourself and your community. This is why I want to go to
One of the main reasons I am drawn to Asbury University, like the mission statement states, is the dual focus of growing both academically and spiritually. When first searching for Christian Liberal Arts schools, I did not know much about Asbury, but when I had the opportunity to visit in the summer, I knew it was where I wanted to be. From the people I met that day, I could tell that God was moving there. Their love for Jesus was shining so brightly and was especially shown when my mom and I met with the international school admissions counselor, Mr. Jared Miller. He made a massive difference to me as he truly understood what it was like to live in a world between cultures, as I do.
The reason that I want to attend Johnson University Florida is because when I came in the campus for the first time for my tour of the campus I felt very welcomed and at home and the school offers everything I was looking for in college. Johnson University Florida gives me the opportunity to build my relationship with Christ himself, while being able to study for my degree, and participate in the sports I love. Johnson University also has an environment where everything is calm and it’s a smaller school which I am a fan of because I could easily get help in any classes or with any problems that I’m dealing with. The environment is almost as if it’s another family because the administrators are truly there for you though every step of the way and I admired that about the
My choice is to attend Brigham Young University-Provo. Not only does BYU have all the academic requirements for my future profession in Journalism and Portuguese but also has a spiritually driven student body that draws me in. The honor code and high moral standards is a huge influencing factor on the school’s massive appeal. Not many schools have little to any standards, primarily where rape and drug use is involved. I need a college experience that is not only education based but is also a healthy environment where I can meet others, maybe even my worthy future companion, and mature into the person I want to be. I can see how BYU has blessed many members in my own family. I have two aunts who graduated with their degrees in the same field
Ever since I could pick up a pencil, I've always been so passionate about art. Recently, I was baptized and I decided that I'd like to expression my love for God and Christianity through my art. I feel this college would be perfect for that because it can challenge me academically, and the nature surrounding the school is very inspiring. I also feel that I will meet amazing people who share my passion, and will inspire me through their personal testimonies. I've saw something similar done by this man named Carlos Enrique Narravo.
Transferring to Holy Family University was the best decision I made for obtaining my undergraduate degree. I think what motivates me most at Holy Family is the accelerated program itself, my fellow students, and the non-traditional faculty that manages my learning. Holy Family’s accelerated program was the key factor for attending this University. As an adult who works full-time, I was previously taking one class per semester at the local community college. Only have the capacity to take one class at a time was actually demotivating, and I was on the verge of quitting my pursuit of an undergraduate degree.
This speaks to me because; it wasn’t easy choosing a college for me. I wanted a college with a firm belief in Jesus and a college that had a soccer program that I could play for. Now I know that with me choosing ACU, it has given me the attitude to achieve not only in God but in school. This school allows me to flaunt my purpose. I want and will show people throughout Arizona Christian University that can achieve anything I put my mind to, through God.
Living in a community and abiding by a statement of faith that reflects the shared values and behavioral expectations of that community. In wanting to be surrounded around other people that have the same believes as myself I feel I will be able to grow as a better Christian and able to do more for the community. Also, experiencing new subject and activities in learning on how to do more things for the community that I might have not thought before. This goes to my next reason is to grow from the experience that the university provides. The university will provide many new lessons in faith and beyond that I will be able to apply anywhere I go and be able to help other no matter what. By reinforcing my faith in a Christian school Azusa Pacific university I will be able to learn in faith and be developed into a person that when I came in the
I think that CSP is unique because of its diversity and its commitment to helping students get the education they need to get the jobs they want and live a successful life. I am not from any religious background and religion has never been something that my family and I or my friends have talked about. Coming to a faith-based university is very unfamiliar for me but it is interesting to learn about all the different faiths. It is also nice to know that people are not going to judge you or not like you because you have a different faith or no religious backgrounds at all. I think that coming to faith-based university was a great decision that I made because it gives me exposure and the opportunity to learn about the different faiths.
The thing that excites me the most about Notre Dame University is the religious aspect of the school. The only schools I have ever attended have been Catholic schools, so keeping the tradition of going to a Catholic school is something that is very much in my interest. My faith journey has been something that I will cherish forever and I know with certainty that I want to continue that faith journey the rest of my life. I know that I do not need to attend a Catholic college in order to continue my journey with God, but I know how easy it is to fall away from God, so I want to be surrounded by people and events that will help my faith journey stay on track. To me, Notre Dame University is a place where I can strengthen my faith even more and
After touring the campus with the AAT program from SPC, I know in my heart that LCU is where God is calling me to be. I went to a private school until my freshmen year and it was the best thing my parents could have done for me. I loved the atmosphere and values that were instilled into me. I hope that I am able to attend LCU so that I can receive a quality education while developing a deeper relationship with Christ and being surrounded by people with the same morals and values as
The first goal I have is to understand the scriptures in the Bible and grow in my faith. When I started to look at colleges, I didn’t even think about attending a Christian college. I contacted a junior college in a nearby town to see what they had to offer me. By the grace of God, they recommend me to CCU. At the time that I enrolled, I didn’t realize that I would be required to take Bible classes. At first, I wondered
Nowadays, there are a lot of multiples possibilities to get a good knowledge about some area. Christian liberal arts are one of them.
