Meredith College, its’ students and staff, represent a family to me, with an excellent learning environment. The education I would receive at Meredith would be unforgettable and outstanding, with experiential learning, since I am considering a major in Early Childhood Education. I would love for Meredith to be where I plan, pursue and reach my goals in college, even in challenges, to shape my future and to make me who I will be.
It feels like everyday I meet people who ask me what college I want to attend. I give them the usual list of colleges I wish to apply to, but when Hofstra University comes up, people ask me, “why do you want to apply to Hofstra University?” I say there are infinite reasons why I wish to go to Hofstra. The number one reason being that it is really close to home. Hofstra is an excellent school - one of the best schools in New York. Hofstra has over a 100 distinct majors and minors to choose from ranging from Biology to Engineering to American Studies. I plan to major in Biology, and Hofstra is the best for my major because it has resources to offer its students giving them hands on experiences. Being an AP student, I love to take arduous classes
I have fallen in love with UNCW after first-hand seeing it for myself last summer. I know a lot of alumni from UNCW and have heard nothing but positive things about the school, teachers, and its courses. I am interested in majoring marketing or business and UNCW excels in both of these areas for me. In addition, it provides many courses that assist me in meeting my goals for my career. I would love to attend UNCW because it is close to my hometown but also far enough to where I can be an independent. Not only do I believe the University of North Carolina Wilmington is the right fit for me and my future career but also has every aspect that I am looking for in a college. It has the perfect location, the perfect size, very affordable, and the
Applying to colleges at the beginning of my senior year of high school seemed like a walk in the park. That was before I realized how much work it took to apply. With the common application and all the essays, I never thought I would get them all done. In the end, I applied to seven different schools including: Michigan State University, University of Michigan, Hillsdale College, Oakland University, Grand Valley State University, Kalamazoo College, and Hope College. Oddly enough, Hope College was the last school I applied too but the first school I got accepted too. I never thought I would attend a small, Christian school until I walked onto Hope`s campus.
I have decided to apply to UNCW Honors College to excel in my studies and help me further my education. Being a part of the Honors College will help me in the future, as I plan to attend medical school. This is my second time applying to the UNCW Honors College. I am now a sophomore who has worked very hard to obtain good grades and a good GPA. My hard work has paid off as I made the Dean’s list this year. An expectation I hope to gain when being a part of the Honors College, is the one on one learning experience. In high school, I was enrolled in all AP courses, which were very small classes. I hope to have the same advantage in the honors courses. I also want to be in a group of all similar academic standings. In high school, I was in National
I am writing to express my interest in the Program Coordinator position at Breakthrough Central Texas. I am interested in this position because I strongly believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to attend college and fulfill their dreams, but I also know that the playing field is not leveled for
I have always known that I wanted to attend a top-tier university. The other details came later; the small size, the proximity to an urban hub, and my major itself. For a while, I was convinced that it would not happen; that I just wouldn’t get in. Now, I realize that I have an opportunity to do so. This is an opportunity I do not intend to waste.
My goals this year for attending cbk are to catch up on my credits and to graduate highschool.I would like to also attend cbk because it is a independent studies school.I feel like it is much easier to go to independent studies school to do my work.
BTNY is the right program for my child because they will provide her an opportunity that I never had and that regular public schools would never be able to give. When I was younger, I lived in the Dominican Republic and my mom was not supportive of my education.
Since the beginning of my middle school education and throughout high school, I played the flute and performed in Symphonic band concerts in varying venues. Music is not the only amazing quality that I have accomplished. I perform excellent in all team and solo sports. I participated in Varsity track and Football the majority of my high school career. In my spare time, I found it inspiring helping Destiny Church which is located in the Mary Pickford Theatre, in Cathedral City, and The local Boys and Girls Club in Desert Hot Springs Community Center. I speak fluent Spanish, bilingual has its advantages to translate to English beginning learners who seek to improve their English and writing skills. Staying focused and staying on top of my classes is my dedication to my goal at this great academic University establishment, is not only my priority but a great privilege . In my previous years in high school, I have kept my grades up and always questioned if I was slacking and I would challenge myself to be better than I was and I keep pushing myself to exclude any future errors. College and my future career are my main goal, Understanding life has itś setbacks, it is a big step in moving farther forward than taking one step forward and two stepbacks back when things get
Application Essay Why did you choose to attend Central Lakes College? I attend Central Lakes College because it 's closer to home. Central Lakes College had a certain aspect on campus with a friendly environment that seemed to me that nurtured the growth in education. What I mean by nurture the growth in education is that Central Lakes College has programs and people that overview your academic career. Programs such as TRIO help with my generals that correlates to transferring to a four-year university. I wanted to go to a community college before a university because it fits my budget better than going straight to a university. Choosing Central Lakes College was an easy choice because the academic and sports programs fit my personality. An education service that really cares about you.
Throughout 9th and 10th grade, I have worked very hard academically. Yet, as I am about to venture into 11th grade, I feel as though I am ready for a challenge. Truthfully, the thought of starting college at the age of 16 sounded just like the type of challenge I needed. Furthermore, there are three main reasons why I want to attend the Mary Baldwin Early College: because I am seeking an academic challenge, because I believe that the Mary Baldwin Early College will help me to achieve my career ambitions, and because the Mary Baldwin Early college offers everything I hope to experience at a college.
As I drove up to Goddard College on that cold day in April to Discover Goddard Day I knew it was the school for me. While driving and enjoying the beautiful Vermont view I began to think to myself that now is the time. I get to have some wonderful experiences at Goddard in my Forties by going back to school to get my Bachelors Degree, creating my own curriculum and staying on campus for Eight days per semester. I knew Goddard was for me.
Throughout my life I’ve wanted to be everything ranging from a ballerina to a surgeon, but the job that I can truly see myself doing is working abroad in women’s rights. When I started my college search, the first thing I looked for in a school was a program that allowed me to pursue both my interest in foreign studies and women’s rights. Tulane offers extensive programs abroad and through the school that would allow me to pursue my interests in women’s rights and international studies; however, why I want to attend Tulane doesn’t just lie with the majors offered. The reasons I am drawn to Tulane comes down to three things: the location, the diversity of the school, and the importance Tulane puts on social action.
The most recent challenges I’ve faced on my pathway to medical school include finding the time and resources to prepare for the MCAT while raising a family and attending school full-time. For as long I as I can remember I wanted to be a physician, but my only concern was how to get there. Growing up my parents emphasized the importance of finishing high school, but never expressed the importance of further my education. They knew my lifelong goals of wanting to be a doctor, but had little understanding of how to get me there. Shortly after graduation, I began (continued?) my educational journey, attending a local community college, then transferring to Arizona State University to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences. It wasn’t until I transitioned to the university when I obtained a better understanding of what it truly takes to be a competitive medical school applicant. I began preparing myself for the medical school entrance exam, worked 10-12 hours in a genetics research laboratory, gained volunteer experience, and balanced a full-time course load. My plans were going smoothly and I felt as though I knew what it took to be
