I believe I show qualities a leader has such as being a hard worker and achieving my goals with my grades and overall. I work very hard in school and out to achieve the grades I have. Last year I ended with a 3.8 GPA and am currently trying to bring it up or keep it the same. I always go in for retakes if offered and stay after for extra help if needed. Although I do always do this, it also makes me a little stubborn since I always aim for an A and if I don't get it I try again and again until I do. I am a leader by showing others to never give up and always try their best no matter what. …show more content…
This year I joined the tennis team and really enjoyed the atmosphere and people I was around. Unfortunately I wasn't able to be a part of it freshman year but I plan on staying all throughout high school. I would love and hope to be the captain my senior year along with one of my friends and also try to be the manager this junior year. I love helping others and having someone look up to me, knowing I’m doing something right and trying to make a difference. My character would be able to show and improve even more throughout my life with
One of many standards to obtain the National Honors Society (NHS) title is that of leadership. Members across the country are expected to achieve great things, including the responsibility to influence his or her peers, no matter the age. Through my experience of babysitting and taking lead in many school projects, I believe that I would be a great candidate to the NHS.
I am deeply honored to be among the exemplary students who are being considered for the National Honor Society. I must admit this is what I’ve been looking forward to since the start of my high school career. This organization is not only known for the student’s high gpas but the willing to set an example for others. Joining this prestigious society will present countless opportunities for me and allow me to grow as a person and do as much as I can for my fellow peers and community. I believe that leadership and character best complement each other because the scratch surface of a true leader, or look behind his or her her personality, you’ll find a good character. While scholarship and service complement each other because you must do your
First, I believe that my involvement with the National Junior Honor Society will help me to prepare my future as a leader. John Maxwell once said that “ a leader is one who knows the way,

I truly believe that hold many of these traits and joining the National Honor Society will grant me the opportunity to expand on these traits and grow as a person. Thus far I have focus greatly on the scholarship aspect of NHS and have been dedicated to my academics. I have held my GPA above 4.0 and have always been devoted to maintaining that high level of academic success. The skills I have shown in devoting myself to my academics can be easily translated into my dedication for the other aspects of leadership, service and character. Having previously held a officer role in the National Junior Honor Society I have gained experience
Being a leader is a valuable skill, not just for the National Honor Society, but also for life. Leaders must take initiative and make hard decisions, even when it is difficult. I am one of the leaders of a praise team group for my
I was thrilled upon receiving my invitation to NHS. I wanted to do this since my freshman year. I really want to volunteer and help others. The only poblem is, I've spent my entire life being the shy kid that no one talked to because I wasn't out there. I have always wondered what would happen if I was out there and involved. That is why I want to be in NHS. I want to be able to help others without being shy and quiet. I want to be involved.
The National Honors Junior Society is one of the nation's prime organizations established to acknowledge outstanding middle school students. NHS is an organization made up of students who regularly demonstrate the four pillars of NHS: Character, Leadership, Scholarship, and Service. Saydel’s chapter of NHS should model outstanding service and leadership within our school and community. Doing so will create a positive environment amongst our community members and students. Utilizing my strong leadership abilities, I believe I can help our chapter of NHS flourish. My strength in organization, self-determination, and ability to engage others will make me a great asset to our NHS
National Honor Society is an exceptional organization that promotes and motivates accomplished, versatile students. In order to qualify for National Honor Society, I believe one must have the mindset of a leader accompanied by examples of a strong moral character to support it. I have been demonstrating these qualities as an ambitious students before I began high school. Throughout my entire educational career, I have always strived to be the absolute best I can be. This includes challenging myself by always taking the highest level classes that are offered and maintaining Honor Roll. Furthermore, I am a very goal oriented person and committed to achieving my dreams. For example, when I was in the 6th grade, I was introduced to the North
I am tremendously honored to be a candidate for the National Honor Society. I have seen such sincere values in many of my peers who have been inducted in the last years, and am thrilled to have a chance to join them. The values NHS represents match so closely with my own. One of the most important characteristics NHS symbolizes is leadership. Practically my whole life I have worked towards becoming a strong leader. Ten years ago when I first entered cub scouts, I was shy and absolutely terrified of public speaking or leading anyone. However, over the years many leadership opportunities were presented to me, and I began to improve.
I may not be the best candidate for the next member of the National Junior Honor Society, but I certainly believe I could be a great addition! Overall, I am a great learner, leader and student. I have not had any major discipline problems since kindergarten! I have always had top grades and have been top of my class at some point or another. I have good grades that I always maintain and standards that I never lower. My character is not the best but it certainly isn’t the worst. I try to help out in my school or community when possible but regrettably I have not given much of my time to my school or community. At the end of the day, I am a good student, friend, son and brother.
Leadership is an important character trait of National Honor Society. Last summer I had the opportunity to lead a team during the off season. At the end of the regular season, there were no captains elected. Captains are in charge of organizing events and practices when the coaches are not allowed to communicate with the team. I took on the responsibility of organizing activities. I communicated with other players and got their input for the activities. I had to reach out to incoming freshman by organizing a group message as well as emailing parents. I also made sure to keep our coach updated on how everything was going.
I currently possess the NHS values of scholarship, leadership, service, and character and want to become a member because of influential people I look up to, tragic events, and motivation for success. First, I have lived with a supportive family who gives me advice and shows me that there are endless possibilities to my future. They have gone to college and been very successful due to their efforts in work and school. Additionally, my piano teacher has given me patience while I learn new pieces and perform. Second, my sister was bullied and abused last year, and finding ways to support and understand her helps me be more compassionate for others struggling with difficult things. She has always been my best friend even though we are sisters,
Before I begin, I would first like to express my gratitude to the NHS and NHS Faculty Council for taking the time to review my application. It means a great deal to me personally to be considered for a role this honorable. I truly believe that I, as a member, could greatly contribute to the organization, but also that it would greatly enhance me as a leader, a peer, and overall as a person.
