Why Colorado Christian University In 1979 I enlisted in the US Navy. I was in college and wanted to complete my education. While in the Navy I always said to myself I will finish college someday. I got married and it seem that that goal will never happen. Years when by, then in 2000 I when back to school, worked hard and received my Associate degree in Accounting. Work at the County of Orangeburg as Purchasing Clerk for 9 years. The goal of getting a BS degree can up. But it was on the back burner again. I just did not had the time, coaching high school football, job, Church all was too much at that time. BY this time I had Kids in college, seem like the dream was over then. In 2011 I enroll at Colorado Technical College, for a year did not complete. …show more content…
I did not had the fund to go to school, and already had a big tuition to pay back. Look like my goal may come true someday. Virginia College was a good online college but, some of it rules really ma it hard sometime for students that had full time jobs. Projects was had to do because some students work hour, and could not meet during some of the chat hours. I did very good within the classes, just had some problems with posting. I think that at CCU, since I am home all the day with nothing really nothing to do, I’ll have all the time in the world to complete my goal. Because with the other school I was taken three class with three testes, and finals within a time frame. I had problem with my internet being down before test, and during test because bad weather. Gets great now with my new internet provider. Since I can take one class, this will help a lot. I’ll have more time to work within that subject. Criminal Justice is a big fav of mine. I like that Christian study is offer alone with all the subject that is offered at CCU. I am working with my associate pastor to become a pastor someday soon, and this will
There are several reasons factors that have contributed to my goal of continuing my education. One of which is, I became a mom at the age of 19 and had no clue of what to do. I just graduated high school and was working full time. I had a great support system when it came to my family. Life was such a disaster at this point and I had no idea what to do. I thought about heading back to school but never could find a school that could accommodate my schedule. I called Colorado Christian University a few times for different degree programs I was interested in. First was Early Childhood Education, then came Criminal Justice and lastly was Phycology.
I have wanted a college education for many years, but haven’t known where to begin. Once I looked into Christian Colorado University (CCU) I knew I wanted to attend. I want to be a part of a community where I can earn an education while being able to share my faith in God with other students. I feel that being accepted into Christian Colorado University would be the first step in advancing my education, and my faith. I would like to be able to be a part of a university that allows me to learn academically, and strengthen my relationship with God. Overall, many experiences in my life have changed me. However, the miracles in which I witnessed at IHOP, has given me stronger faith. Now I am finally ready to begin my college education. I think attending a school where I can connect with others in terms of faith would be a blessing. I look forward to this journey and opportunity at CCU. I plan on pursuing Theology as a Major. My experience at IHOP led me to want to learn more about God. I have the confidence I need, the spirit of the Lord living within me, and I know that with God the impossible doesn’t exist. Thank you, Erika
I have chosen Tidewater Community College because it is my stepping stone. College is not just a degree but the completion of a goal I started 20 years ago. When I had my son, I attempted to go to school and work. Due to family issues and other life events, I was unable to finish. Now that my son is in college it is my time to complete what I had started years ago. This is a personal goal for me. I am not a first generation college student. My older siblings attending college and graduated. My objective is to obtain my Associate’s Degree and continue on to my Bachelor’s degree. I have over 15 years of experience working in IT and I want to add a degree to my resume. I believe that this will make me more marketable for my career. These are all
I’ve never had the opportunity to experience university life after high school as a result of financial responsibilities to my family. Community college was my best hope at beginning my journey to a fulfilling career in the medical field, but it wasn’t enough to fulfill my goals. What I want, or what I need, is a University that will give me the tools and opportunity to move forward even further with my ambitions in life as a contributing member of society. As my friend and I visited different universities, California Baptist University (CBU) gave us a sense of hope and importance we got from no other. I believe by attending California Baptist University I can better myself and that this private university will give me the attention and care I need.
Through my experiences and achievements at California Baptist University, I can gain an academic advantage over my peers attending other schools. The amount of programs and majors offered at CBU will help me develop as an educated and experienced woman with a strong educational background at CBU. With the help of CBU, I can grow into my full potential and maintain a great headstart in entering the real world with a strong mentality of maturity. I have always maintained upstanding grades and high GPA in high school, and my attendance at CBU will merely continue my pattern of success.
My duties and responsibilities are to watch and patrol areas to guard against illegal activity and dangerous scenarios. I work to protect the health and safety of the public, and serve as physical symbols to deter petty crimes, such as theft and acts of domestic terrorism. I am well aware of my surroundings in order to detect and deter crimes. I have the ability to watch and observe without getting distracted. I would like to attend Colorado Christian University to pursue my studies because of the fact that CCU integration of academic achievement, character development, and spiritual formation prepares CCU graduates to honor God and impact the world with their lives. College education also help me choose my career more wisely and college experience makes people become more confident and can make better and well judged decisions. A college education can teach a person about his or her moral obligations. It improves the society because of the values and traditions that a person learns in college. I am a hard working and well-rounded individual. My diverse experiences polished my protective, preventive and safety skills and provided me with a thorough understanding of potential
I love the idea of college schooling from a Christian perspective. When my daughter was of school age she attended a Christian school too. We live in a small town in Wyoming and the Christian school she went to only went up to the 5th grade; however, it proved to be a good foundation planting the spiritual seeds she needed. I would like to share why I believe CCU is a good fit for me and the reasons that will influence my academic work and goals at CCU in a positive and sincere way. First, I have worked for a nonprofit law firm for 10½ years now.
Going to college, is where your journey in life really begins. Choosing the right college for you is one of the biggest decisions you make in life. I choose California Baptist University to enhance my studies, meet people pursuing the same passion as I am, and become closer to God.
When I was searching for a better education, instead I was astound by the dorms, dining, clubs, and so much more that college offers. It is impossible to think about education, when all they present to you is the facilities and the accommodation you will get if you enroll to that college. One thing I did not count on was money, without it, you can’t even dream about a college like that one, just if you get a loan, but I was not going to get a loan just to be in a fancy facility. I continue looking and I lost track of what I was looking for and I choose the one near my house. After years of losing my time, now I’m gaining the knowledge I ever wanted.
With thinking of going to a community college in mind, I began to search for community colleges around me. I found one not far from my home called Johnston Community College. Living only about twenty minutes away and in the same county as the school was great but what I did not like was the school’s atmosphere. To me, the school reminded me of a prison with its tall grayish brown walls and barely any windows. I did not want to attend a school that to me felt like a prison, so I kept looking for other community colleges. When I was looking around, I found a community college called PITT. One fact about PITT that I liked was how close it was to ECU. I ended up not applying to PITT because to drive to and from school every day would be a total of two hours and forty-one minutes of driving every day. Along with how far a drive to PITT would be every day, the cost of gas to drive to school would be too much money. Searching for the right community college became easy at the end. After searching through a bunch of different community colleges, I finally narrowed my choices down to one
The first goal I have is to understand the scriptures in the Bible and grow in my faith. When I started to look at colleges, I didn’t even think about attending a Christian college. I contacted a junior college in a nearby town to see what they had to offer me. By the grace of God, they recommend me to CCU. At the time that I enrolled, I didn’t realize that I would be required to take Bible classes. At first, I wondered
I have always wanted to help people and the medical field is where I see myself being able to put that to the best use I can. I had my first child at the age of 14 and since then I have always been putting my children first. I feel that it is now my time to achieve my academic goals. Pursuing a degree as a nurse will also help me give my children a better future by setting a good example for them to follow. Colorado Christian University and the nursing programs they offer along with the online classes are a few of the reasons that I believe CCU is a great fit for myself, my family and my education. Being able to do online classes will still allow for me to keep working and providing for my young family and be able to not miss my children growing up. As I looked over the required courses that are offered and criteria that is required of a student at CCU along with the Christian background I felt alive and engaged. The Christian faith based course, I believe will also help me grow and learn in my faith while still being able to focus on my education. I can not wait to get started on my academic goals and dreams at Colorado Christian
One of the most important aspects for me, in choosing where to go to college was finding a Christian college. Even though I have not yet decided between attending Mount Vernon Nazarene University and Grove City College, I am trusting that the Lord will reveal his will to me in this decision. The main goal in choosing to attend a Christian college is to grow close to the Lord through my college experience and be surrounded by others who share my love for the Lord and also the desire to learn more about the world that He has created. I want my education to be ultimately centered around the truths of God’s Word. For me, choosing a major was a difficult decision, but I have chosen to major in electrical engineering. Throughout my high school career,
There is one main reason why I decided to further my education at Colorado Christian University. That reason is I wanted to prove to myself after dealing with chronic nerve pain from a bad surgery and severe depression, that I could still accomplish great achievements.
What I learned throughout my time in El Salvador will define the way I accomplish my school work. Considering that Jesus is my everything, I have every intention of working with excellence for his sake. Considering that he is the ruler of the universe, I will depend upon him for the strength to accomplish my tasks as a student. Considering that he is the center of my life, my goals in life are wrapped around him. My goal to achieve my bachelor’s degree is based upon my desire to support my loved ones in the future. This desire is one that has sprung out of my longing to love God as the center of my life. I believe that taking courses through CCU’s online program is the best option for me in terms of working towards higher financial responsibility. This program will also allow me to put a greater amount of hours into my job than the traditional on campus undergraduate program would allow, and that is the reason I decided to apply to this program. Working towards greater financial responsibility will allow me to more effectively love and support my family later in life, and through doing so, I believe I will be able to further honor God. Jesus is everything to me, and that reality in my life affects everything I
