The college of my choice is Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University located in Prescott, Arizona. Embry-Riddle is exactly 1,869 mi from where I reside and it would take me 1 day and 7 hours if I decided to take a road trip there instead of getting a plane ticket. I choose Embry-Riddle University because I did a virtual tour of their campus and it was beautiful, the buildings and the outdoors of course. Also they have an amazing aviation program to help me become a pilot and students of 2018 that attend this program say that the teacher take the time to help you if you need it.
My favorite college and the college I would like to attend is Indiana University. The college was established on January 20, 1820 in Corydon, Indiana (“Indiana University Bloomington.”). It is currently in the city of Bloomington (southern Indiana), which has some of the best scenery in the country. Indiana University is a public college. Some benefits of attending a public college like IU are the price difference, more activities, easier to get in, and they are more culturally diverse ("Advantages of Attending a State University: An Overview."). In this beautiful area, there are International Music Festivals throughout the year. Indiana also has one of the most iconic basketball arenas in the United States, Assembly Hall. IU is known for many
I would enjoy attending Brigham Young University in Provo. I want to attend in Provo because I have grown up here my whole life. I love Provo and enjoy the spiritual environment. My family also lives in Provo which would make it convenient when I am returning from my mission to help me get right into college while I'm finding work and housing. I have participated in many different activities on Brigham Young University campus, it would be easy to get around on with the knowledge I have which would allow me to focus on schooling. Brigham Young University also has a good program for what I want to study. The school environment is also very religiously centered. This would help me come closer to Christ through my daily schooling as well as my
I find Brigham Young University most appealing because of its affordability, and the ability to live in a comfortable atmosphere where I will not meet the same constant challenges of my religious beliefs that I have had to face in high school. I want to be able to enjoy my college experience without having to deal with the social pressures of drinking, sexual immorality and drugs that are often tied with the college freshman experience. The environment at BYU will allow me to really focus on my
If you could go to U of I, UNI, or Iowa State, where would you go and why?
The University of Texas would be the best college to further my education at a college that my whole family loves. It’ll also help teach me hands on and in a way that benefits me. The University of Texas has always been my Dream College and first
Going to Louisiana Tech would mean a whole lot to me. Louisiana Tech got the be engineering program. I also feel like it’s a great school for me to attend. I see myself going here would help me out a lot with education and skills to become a successful engineer. Louisiana Tech will make a big step in my life when I’m done with my major.
Both the University of Utah (U of U) and Utah Valley University (UVU) are great schools in their own respective ways. However, each school has their own advantages over the other, many of which are significant factors in determining which college I will attend. The most important factors for me are location, total cost of tuition, and whether or not my preferred major is offered. I would like to preface that these are very important determinates when it comes to the college I choose, the first two being related to money (which is an issue because irrespective of where I go, I will have to pay for half of the college without my parents support, either through grades or a job) and the relating to that of my major, which is philosophy. I will extrapolate later as to why that is of importance to me but it is important.
In the winter of 1777 and 1778, George Washington and some soldiers are in Valley Forge, including the Continental Army. It was a difficult place to stay, some people were sick some were dead, but not a lot. Would you have quit the army or stayed? I would stay because only 15% of people died (Doc A), there is help coming and because of the inspirational words of Thomas Paine Would I quit, no because I want to stay and fight. Would you have quit the army or stayed? I would stay because only 15% of people died, and there is help coming and because of the inspirational words of Thomas Paine(DocA). The Congressman was getting more food and clothing to soldiers and stayed several weeks George Washington is presenting the committee to soldiers
Making the final college choice is a difficult decision for a student and his or her family. The final decision needs to be a balance between value and opportunity. I want to get the best opportunity for the best deal. This could be a better academic program in my major, more rigorous academics overall, a better location, internships, and a safer campus.
I choose to attend the University of Florida for the culture of community that exists on the campus. The University of Florida has always been a school that wants its students to succeed, but what is the most interesting aspect is that the students push each other together to achieve their goals. We live in a society where it is a "Man vs Man" world and that only one can succeed. Here at the University of Florida, we challenge those social norms and try to create a pathway that fits for everyone. Here, we just don't have dreams, because as gators, we make those dreams plans and those plans into reality. Being able to accomplish or do something that makes your life fulfilling is what made me want to come to the University of Florida and continue to give back to the place that gave me the chance to improve myself and help others improve too.
May, 1778, it was a gruesome winter. Most of my friends die in front of me, by either freezing or by starving. I just took on the small pox, by this experiment where they cut my arm and put the small pox in me. I just barely survived, as soon as the French joined the war. Our food supply increased and our chances of living increased as well. I am really angry at the people that left the war because they are cowards. They did not fight for their independence and did not finish what they volunteered for. I am staying in Valley Forge because I believe in independence and I believe that I made a commitment so I will stick by my word. I believe that George Washington will win this war for us and that he is a great leader. He saved us from dying
I actually just committed to Cal State-Fullerton, so that’s been my dream school since I’ve been like 10 years old. I mainly just applied to colleges that had my major and had a strong program for that major. Cal State, Fullerton has a really strong stem program and they feed into three different medical schools, so that’s how I chose that I was going to go there.
I want to attend Archbishop Mitty because initially it felt like the right place for me. From the day I took the tour and attended the High School Information Night, I knew something felt good and I wanted to explore it more. The excitement in the eyes of the students presenting, the joy they described and the opportunities available to them was something I could not stop thinking about. Coming from a small middle school, I wanted more.
Did you know, Nashville, Tennessee was founded in 1779 on Christmas Eve by James Robertson, John Donelson and a party of Overmountain Men. However it was named after Francis Nash. Francis Nash was the American Revolutionary War hero. In 1806, Nashville was incorporated. It was also when nashville became the county seat of Davidson County. In 1843, Nashville was named the permanent capital of Tennessee.
