On April 30, 2016, I intended on walking across the stage to receive my Associate’s degree from Richard J. Daley College. However, I decided to stay home and continue studying for my final exams. Sacrificing my graduation ceremony to pass my final exams with good grades proved that I made the right decision. After two years of dedication and consistent work, I have earned my Associate’s degree in Science. With a focus on math and science, I will continue my educational journey at the undergraduate level, with the goal of progressing to the graduate level in Computer Science. After completing my master’s degree in Computer Science degree, I plan to further my studies by acquiring a master’s degree in business administration within the next six years. Moreover, my life goals are to achieve intellectual growth, advance in my profession, and start a company that specializes in cybersecurity. …show more content…
To ensure I complete the program successfully, I will put forth my best effort to be a proactive student: maintain a high grade point average, develop close relationship with professors and advisors, join student organizations and assume leadership roles, as well as building a strong network with like-minded students. Additionally, I will take advantage of tutoring, participating in study groups, and most importantly, managing my time effectively. By utilizing the resources of the university, I will be able to attain a graduate degree in business administration, achieve intellectual growth, and advance professionally. Upon successful completion of my master’s degree, I will be able to apply essential business strategies necessary to launch my
There have been many times in my college career that I have considered changing my major. When I told my dad that I was considering it, he would always ask what I wanted to do instead. After thinking about my options, I couldn’t think of anything else that I would be interested in besides teaching. I am already in my second year of college as an education major, and here at IU Southeast, most of the prerequisites that are required will not transfer over to another major. After having this fear for a several semesters now, I am curious to see what other jobs that I can obtain with an education degree, and the pay difference between careers with the same college degree.
An Associate’s degree from LSC- Montgomery could change my life because it would be my first achievement in my effort to become an innovative electrical engineer. Once I complete my first two years, I plan to expand my education even more.
I have two Associates degrees and my goal now is to work my way through a Bachelor's in Psychology and on to a graduate degree.I enjoy people. I hope to have my own business one day. In the meantime, I enjoy helping others in my own unique way without the psych degree. Over the years I've enjoyed volunteering for the Humane Society, Horse Rescue, and Food
After graduating from high school, I had a 14 year gap in my education. When I first graduated high school, I inherited a house that I needed to pay for and maintain. In order to do this I got a full-time job immediately upon graduating. For the next several years I worked first in a deli and then doing direct care for developmentally challenged adults. None of these jobs were very fulfilling for me so when I found a job that I really enjoyed, I stuck with it. I have been with my current employer for the past 12 years.
I am majoring in graphic design for my associate’s degree. Currently after this semester, I need twenty more credits until I complete my associate’s degree. Once I receive my associates degree, I am looking to transfer to a four year university to major in visual design to become a fashion stylist; during that time, I am hoping to be a part of an internship, studying abroad to learn more skills. Furthermore, once I have achieved in my education, I know I will be successful in pursuing my dream job.
My goal is to become a CEO of a large corporate firm involving pharmaceuticals or insurance. In order to make that goal come alive, I will be attending St. John Fisher College and take the classes I need to be successful in those fields so I can receive a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and Marketing. By declaring the Business Management and Marketing majors, I will learn the specialized skills I need in order to sell my personal business image, which is important because it will benefit in the long run allowing me to achieve my future career goals.
I believe the in-depth curriculum, the student managed investment fund, and the undergraduate business teams will achieve my desired objectives and give me a lasting, enduring edge against other job candidates in the future. I am eager to learn from others and receive their valuable input to improve my weaknesses as well as build upon my strengths. More specifically, three particular areas I would like to specialize upon include portfolio management and return, risk management, and expand my education on capital markets. Each is covered in the curriculum and through the various electives offered, which is why I’m confident my objectives will be fulfilled at W&M. In addition, I hope to achieve the ability to access my creativity further by learning more about myself, as well as learn how to communicate my leadership more effectively, influentially, and directly. I believe both of which can be obtained through the business teams as, although everyone processes information in different ways, I personally am more of an analytic processor rather than a social processor, the groups will allow myself to not only draw upon my strength, analytical processing, but it will also enhance my deficiency in social processing, increasing overall creativity and further development of effective leadership skills. As for the student managed fund, albeit it is a small part of the overall business school it involves my core passion and I hope to learn new methodologies to portfolio and risk management that I am unfamiliar with. As a final point, I would love to make many friends along the way, to whom I can keep in t2ouch with outside of college and hopefully work alongside in the finance
In a few months I will be starting my future before I know it. Once I walk off the stage of high school graduation in june 2018 I am going to study what I have been wanting to do for over 6 years which is to study personal finance at a four year school. What had made me consider this as a career is when I was helping my dad out on a job for his heating and cooling business and we had done a sheriff's house and the officer had given me advice on taking finance in college instead of criminal justice. As I had talked to more cops as time went on more and more had told me that criminal justice is not the best degree to be a cop, more that 80% have said that the police department would rather hire someone with a degree in business or a degree related
When I was accepted into college for my freshmen year, I thought that the right path for me was a degree in chemistry followed by pharmaceutical school; however, after completing my first year it has become clear to me that my true interests lie elsewhere. Although not the right fit for me, I appreciate the knowledge I gained during my year as a chemistry major. Spending time in the chemistry program at Keene State College exposed me to subjects such as physics and calculus that I may not have chosen had it not been required. This experience has given me intelligence in a range of subjects.
“Wow! Is this really happening to me?” Is the first thing that would be running through my head as I process the fact that I have won the lottery. Not only will I be completely stress free from thinking of having to be in college debt, but this life changing experience will keep me motivated to continue gaining more knowledge during my upcoming four years. I believe education is an important key for success in my future and the last thing I would want to stress on is the amount of money I will need to pay off for however long I decide to exceed on my education.
Attending college and pursuing a bachelor's degree has been an educational goal of mine for many years. To attain that goal, I conducted research to find a school with a degree plan that mirrors my current career in the US Army. Currently, I am enrolled at Franklin University to attain that goal. While attending Franklin University, I plan on completing a degree in Operations and Supply Management Chain. I decided to choose this degree because I currently work in the field of Logistics in the United States Army.
My interest in computer security, specifically the areas of programming languages, security network architectures, the development of new approaches to securing large scale enterprise applications and databases begin in my initial computer science courses. I discovered I have a natural affinity for solving complex computational, programming and system integration problems exceptionally fast. I also learned that I have the ability to define a series of coding requirements and complete them with a specific goal of
From AAP, I am planning to take some fall classes to well establish what I want to do in college. I am planning to learn more about business school for undergraduates here at UMD so I can be familiar with the place and the people. Apply early for the school of Business so I don’t miss a spot. I am planning to talk to some business students who have been in my position and learn the path they took so I can shape my path well. Graduating from undergraduate to take M.B.A will be the most important step because I will need a graduate degree in order to get a good
As of now, my uppermost areas of study include, but are not limited to, student leadership development, fraternity and sorority life, and student academic services. I will excel in these focused areas from not only my past experiences, but my future experiences all while gaining a well-rounded education. My passion to watch students excel and my strong work ethic are just a minimal amount of what I believe would enable me to thrive in Illinois State University’s master’s program in College Student Personnel Administration. In Higher Education, there are various short- and long-term goals to be maintained.
