Intro:
I selected the artist Franz Marc. Franz Marc was born in Munich, Germany in February 8, 1880. He went to the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and is known for cubism and expressionism in his art.
When I laid my eyes on Franz Marc’s art, the first element of art that caught my eye was his use of vivid and bold colors. I also enjoyed the geometrical qualities (cubism) of his paintings.
Your piece:
My painting depicts a girl with fiery orange hair looking down at a little chick she’s holding while her own wings are spread out behind her. She’s standing on sand at the beach and dons a green beret, ankle boots, and a green coat that’s flapping in the wind. I utilized most of the elements of art, i.e. line, form, color, and value. For principles
Salvador Dali was a surrealist painter born in the early 1900’s in Figueres, Spain. He is best known for his thought provoking images, eccentric behavior and bizarre surrealism, Dali’s art was anything but ordinary.
My artist for this art project was Peter Max. He is from Berlin, Germany. He was famous in his life, and is still alive. Among other things, he is also a vegan, an environmentalist, and a human rights activist.
for this assignment i decided to do a painting. in this painting i depict the parachuter in the way i imagine the kids see him and in the way he really is. this is a really powerful picture if you look closely. it shows anyone who has read the book that fear is really the only monster here. it explains that there really is no monster and that the monster is in them. i chose to do this as my project for this exact reason, it really explains what the monster of the island is. I also very much enjoy painting so i decided painting would be a fun medium for me to work with. with painting also comes some difficulties. paint takes time to dry, causing problems with layering, because of this it took longer than expected to complete.even though it took
Claes Oldenburg is known for his unique sculptures that reflect the pop-culture era. Born in Sweden, his family moved to the United States when Oldenburg was just a baby. When Oldenburg got older her attended Yale University and moved to New York where he met the two people that inspired him artistically, Jim Dine and Allan Kaprow. With this inspiration, Oldenburg began his career as an artist.
Students through the process of art appreciation will build connections through the exploration of textures, lines, colour and shape when describing, analysing, interpreting and judging the artworks before them (3 chosen images). They are asked to describe what they see, the artist’s use of colour, lines, shapes and texture. They then move onto analysing; what catches their eye, is the composition balanced and do the paintings look flat or do they have depth. The discussion then progresses onto interpretation where students are able to express what type of emotion they feel when looking at the pictures, perhaps the kind of sounds they might hear if they could step into it, and why they think the artist chose this particular subject to paint and what may have inspired the artist.
All of the artwork shows great precision and attention to detail. The colors are vibrant and rich. That is not to say the colors were bright or cheerful (only one painting was particularly “bright”), but the colors were all pure and distinct. Most of the paintings, in my opinion, would fit under the umbrella of surrealism. Walking into the gallery immediately starts to produce feelings of unease and perhaps feelings of being threatened. The individual objects in the paintings are very realistic but mashed together in unnatural ways.
The painting I am currently doing is called Long Island Sunset by Georgia O'Keeffe. I picked this painting because It was very eye appealing. I also picked this because I think it matches my skill level in art. This was a very eye appealing to me so I stopped looked who painted it and I really liked it. This was Inspired by her surroundings, which ranged from New York City to the New Mexico hills. This painting was made in the early 1900s when she was middle aged and I really like it a lot.
Franz Marc was a German artist and printmaker, and also one of the key statistics of the German Expressionist movement. Franz Marc was born in February 8, 1880 in Munich and past away in March 4, 1916, eventually Marc was only 36 years old. Wilhelm, the father, was an expert landscape painter; his mother, Sophie, was a strict Calvinist. Marc began to study at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munich in 1900. In 1903 and 1907, he spent time in France, intensely in Paris, visiting the city’s museums and copying many paintings, a conventional way for artists to study and improve technique.
The reason why I chose Wassily Kandinsky for my report is that I am fascinated with the characteristic of his artworks which possess fantastic designs with the powerful color combinations. He is well- known as one of the pioneers of abstract modern artist, and among abstract art around the world, the remarkable features of his artworks are a lot of combinations of many colored geometric figures. Kansinsky's early abstract paintings have something in common with Fauvism, which is defined as the artworks with heavy use of primary and strong colors and dynamic brushstrokes. On the other hand, his late works are well-organized than before, and colors and geometric
The person that I chose was Donato di Niccolo di Betta Bardi is also known as Donatello. I chose Donatello because his sculptures look very interesting and cool looking. Another reason is because He sounded like an interesting person to research. Donatello was well known because he was the greatest Florentine sculptor before Michelangelo (1475–1564) and was the most influential individual artist of the 15th century in Italy. Donatello was born during the Renaissance period in history which began in Northern Italy during the 14th century. It is believed while Donatello was with the Martellis family, he was given his first instructions on becoming a goldsmith. He would become the apprentice of Lorenzo Ghiberti in 1403. While he was living in Rome, he earned his living in goldsmith.
The artist I chose to write about is Camille Pissarro and the paintings at the LACMA were. Pissarro was a French impressionist painter. His full name is Jacob Abraham Camille Pissarro. He was born in Charlotte Amalie, St.Thomas,
Hieronymus Bosch was born at the beginning of the Renaissance just after the end of the Dark Ages. Bosch was born in the netherlandish city of Hertogenbosch. Hertogenbosch is where Bosch got his last name. Bosch lived, grew up and died in Hertogenbosch. He never left the city, it is surprising that his artwork became famous. Bosch came from a family of painters. His father, uncle, and grandfather were all painters, unfortunately none of their works survived.
For me, Louis Kahn; Peter Zumthor and Olafur Eliasson are three important arhitects and artist that shape who I am as a designer.
Pablo Picasso, although usually known as just Picasso. His full name though is actually: Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso. His signature is worth more than some of his paintings. In fact in some restaurants he just drew a quick face and then signed it (when he was famous). He was one of the most well known people in the 20th century. He was born in 25th of October 1881 in Malaga, Spain, and then died on the 8th of April 1973 Mougins, France. He was a: painter, drawing, sculpture, print making, and ceramics.
