This research paper will look into the works...What factors led/contributed to an American victory in the Revolutionary War? Many factors could be considered in the victory for the American’s, but four major ones were the backbone of their victory. Their are five major factors: George Washington, the state’s militia, confidence in the soldiers, the French, and familiarity of the geographical environment. George Washington is a key factor because he symbolized outstanding leadership and intelligence on the battlefield. The final key factor, familiarity of the environment, helped out the American’s in a major way because they had the advantage of escape and flank routes to their knowledge. My first key factor, George Washington, will be a huge impact in the result of this war. He knew when to retreat, and come into full force. One reason he was such a great commander is because of his unpredictable ability on the battlefield. After the Battle of Saratoga, France decides to join in the war to help America fight the British. The battle convinced them to join because they thought America could win after the victory.
