I think the Revolutionary War is the most important because it’s what made America become a country. We had been with Britain and they didn’t treat us fairly compared to what they treated people over their. The king made acts or laws that were unnecessary to present day America. For instance the king made a law that America could only buy tea from them. So they raised the prices way up to get money. In reaction we dressed like their workers and went on to their ships that carried the tea over, and dumped them all into the ocean. America told the king many times that they wanted to become their own country but the king refused and started the war. I think this is the most important because it was the war that made us become independent.If this didn’t happen i’m sure it eventually would, but this way it happened with the right people.

There is a fascinating book called 1776 by David McCullough; which is his tenth Book he has written on the subject. In this exciting novel he describes several significant issues that George Washington had to overcome to secure his ultimate victory in 1783. The book also describes the first year of the American Revolution, specifically the triumph of Boston and the failure at New York. The lack of morale while the war waged on, which affected the ability of the troops to fight. Then a hugely successful attack on Trenton, and how that help saved the revolution. The author starts by describing the challenges of creating and maintaining an army and then developing and drilling a military force that will be disciplined in the field of battle.

To start, the victory of the United States had many political reasons, such as Thomas Paine's pamplet "Common Sense" that had not only been one of the most influential pamplets ever written but had also called for a republic. This idea had given America the push they needed into fighting for their independence. Another political reason had been the Declaration of Independence in 1773 for it had, like with "Common Sense", pushed Americans for independence. One more political reason for the U.S. victory in the Revolutionary War would be George Washington himself. Yes, he had lost more battles than he won but with his amazing sense of justice, leadership, patience and especially being a man of wealth from Virginia, Washington had gained back the trust from the colonists to their government.

There are three main factors that contributed to the American victory in the revolutionary war. The first factor is that they were fighting on their homeland. They knew the ins and outs of the landscape (shortcuts, hiding places and problems) like the back of their hand. They used their experience to their advantage through the use of guerilla tactics in the battle of Lexington and concord and creative maneuvers. The Reason behind the American victory is the patriotic spirit of the army. The Americans were more ideologically motivated than the British to win the war. They were fighting to win their political and economic independence, meanwhile, the British had no significant motivation for their war. This intangible difference helped the American

After the American win at Saratoga, the French foreign minister, Comte De Vergennes, came to see America as a formal ally. This resulted in a treaty between America and France and formalized their alliance with France. In the “French Alliance”, written by Robert Rhodes Crout, he mentions, “On 8 January 1778 Vergennes informed the envoys that France was ready to make an alliance. The treaties were signed on 6 February, and Louis formally received the commissioners on 20 March… and a treaty of alliance to become effective in the event of war between France and England” (392). This treaty made the American forces have a different outlook on the war. They knew they had the resources, strength, and support they needed in order to defeat the British forces. The American forces then had a more positive perspective on the war, and going into battle because they were officially getting aid from the French. This meant that the American forces were getting more supplies and naval support which was much needed to turn the war around for American
