Black Friday has multiple reasons for it being named “Black Friday”. It traces back to the 1950’s when it was called “Black Friday” because of the surplus amounts of call-ins for employees trying to score a four-day weekend after Thanksgiving. In Philadelphia during 1961, the Friday after Thanksgiving was called Black Friday because it was the day when stores were coming out of the “red”, which was the downward shopping period between July and August. This was the biggest time retailors saw the numbers, “in the red”. The Friday after Thanksgiving marked when retailors saw the profit go up, “in the black”; therefore, the term Black Friday arose.
Thanksgiving day is a time for shopping. Black friday shoppers are dwindling, and even if they weren’t, having sales on Thanksgiving could give us a good boost. Even though people may have less time on their holiday to celebrate, it should be allowed because producers and consumers will both benefit and it will boost our economy.
I think that stores should not be open on thanksgiving because one it will take time away from thanksgiving and spending time with your famille. And two some people are opening loans just to go shopping on thanksgiving and they are going into debt just to go shopping even though people could go shopping after their dinner or spending time with their families., they should not be open on thanksgiving because people are making loans to go shopping and people have died shopping.

The Black Friday sales during Thanksgiving day will have many buyers seeking for that perfect gift. Some buyers will lose the opportunity if they arrive late. Since mine houseshoes are old, I am requesting for a new pair as a gift. However, on a regular basis, my family are focus on providing gifts for the less fortune than ourselves. Black Friday crowds get in to violence over who gets what. On 2012 there was a hunting sale the cops had to shoot a shop lifter who dragged a cop into the vehicle.

Black Friday kicks off the Christmas shopping season, with prices so low people get into physical fights in hopes of grabbing the last item. But has Black Friday ran its course?
