In order to get and keep a job there are many requirements, so it is imperative that you have the proper skills to present. Honorable traits will get you far in life and in the work area. It is valued if you recognize your strengths and weaknesses beforehand, and then work on them in order to improve on yourself. Personally, my strengths are personal management skills and having strong work values. On the other hand, my weakness would be teamwork skills. It is my goal to maintain my strengths and reform my weakness. In any workplace, it is crucial that you have exceptional personal management skills. Above all else, it is important that you personally are capable of getting things done on your own. This is my strength because I am able to plan out my schedule beforehand so that way I do not get overwhelmed by the many priorities I have. I am in ASB and Young Life club and if I do not plan accordingly, my life would be one disorganized mess. If your intentions for your job are not honest and trustworthy, then you will probably end up getting fired. No one wants to hire someone who will betray them, so it is best to have strong work values. I can relate to this because I babysit for a wealthy family that trusts me and knows I will not be stealing from them or putting their daughter in danger while they are gone. By attaining this skill, I can guarantee that I won't get fired and can keep my well paid job. Overall, staying honest and having good intentions helps you succeed in the work
Reflecting on my skills, I believe I have excellent social, communication and language skills. These skills are essential in any customer-facing or team work oriented job. One of the many flaws I have encountered with myself is that I don’t deal well with confrontation .Another weakness of mine is that when someone troughs to much information at me all at once it’s hard understand it all in. The last flaw I have noticed about myself is that I am too hard on myself, but I am working to improve it. On the Other hand my strengths are that I am always on time. I take criticism well and try and improve on whatever skill’s I am lacking. Last strength of mine is that I am a hard-worker. I would be as motivated at my job, every day from the first day they hired me to the last. I would like to think of myself as a nice and humble person. I treat everyone the same with respect. Throughout my educational career I have learned the importance of a strong work ethic. In middle school I was able to accomplish all of my school work, take advanced classes, maintain grades above a C average, and take part in after school activities without much effort. High School on the other hand, forced me to mature and develop a work ethic to succeed as a student. Maintaining, the same GPA, I balance acting and directing for my school’s theater company, volunteering as a part of the National Honor Society, being involved in International Club and Student Council, working part time at my local library, and excelling in Advanced Placement classes. With so many obligations, sound time management skills are a necessity. Since I learned to succeed with a multitude of responsibilities that once seemed overbearing, I am seeking to challenge myself through an education at Indiana University with a clear and organized approach.

My dad showed me several different skills during his time working, in which Personal Management was key to achieving success in the job.
