Why Is It Important To Have Strong Work

Reflecting on my skills, I believe I have excellent social, communication and language skills. These skills are essential in any customer-facing or team work oriented job. As explained by Morgeson, F. P. et al. in “Selecting individuals in team settings: The importance of social skills, personality characteristics, and teamwork knowledge.” (2005):

One of the many flaws I have encountered with myself is that I don’t deal well with confrontation .Another weakness of mine is that when someone troughs to much information at me all at once it’s hard understand it all in. The last flaw I have noticed about myself is that I am too hard on myself, but I am working to improve it. On the Other hand my strengths are that I am always on time. I take criticism well and try and improve on whatever skill’s I am lacking. Last strength of mine is that I am a hard-worker. I would be as motivated at my job, every day from the first day they hired me to the last. I would like to think of myself as a nice and humble person. I treat everyone the same with respect. The reason why I am interested in this field of work is because, I love helping people. I know I would excel in this field of work because it’s a part of life. The reason a company should hire me is because I will excel their expectations, I will always work to my fullest. I work well with anyone and everyone, I am a very reliable person. I’m very neat and clean, I know where I am going, and what i want out of my life. I enjoy change, I believe everything happens for a reason. I may take a day or two to adapt to the new environment, but I just take a step back and look at the bigger picture.

Throughout my educational career I have learned the importance of a strong work ethic. In middle school I was able to accomplish all of my school work, take advanced classes, maintain grades above a C average, and take part in after school activities without much effort. High School on the other hand, forced me to mature and develop a work ethic to succeed as a student. Maintaining, the same GPA, I balance acting and directing for my school’s theater company, volunteering as a part of the National Honor Society, being involved in International Club and Student Council, working part time at my local library, and excelling in Advanced Placement classes. With so many obligations, sound time management skills are a necessity. Since I learned to succeed with a multitude of responsibilities that once seemed overbearing, I am seeking to challenge myself through an education at Indiana University with a clear and organized approach.

My dad showed me several different skills during his time working, in which Personal Management was key to achieving success in the job. Tasks were identified by supervisors via his email, or speaking in person, which he had to work to solve in a timely matter. Personal strengths for me would be my strong desire to learn and change, and my persistence. I have been prevented from pursuing my desired education for so long, but I am chomping at the bit to get this done now. Not only am I pursuing a change in career, but I am going towards a field of study that I find interesting. I can be a very stubborn person at times and my persistence mirrors that trait.

Continue to provide education to the public in order to promote wellness and prevent injuries despite system-related issues, such as understaffing, and lack of available resources in the emergency department setting.

I am a hard worker always doing the best I can with the abilities I have. I am a mother of four beautiful children. I live in Michigan where I have been all my life. These family values have shaped me into respecting others and treat others like the way you want to be treated. I value hard work, honest and never be a quitter. My strengths are being kind hearted and a good listener. My weaknesses are being too critical on myself and taking things personal.

Time management is important, no matter the job you have, someone is always waiting for you to complete your duty. If you work at a restaurant, people are waiting for their food. If you work in an office, people are waiting for your paper, or meeting to be ready. To be a successful employee it is crucial to know how to use your time to the best of the ability. For example, if you have to write a paper for a meeting in a week, good time management would start working on the paper right away. If you have poor time management you may wait until the day before the meeting then cram all the work needed to finish the paper and it may not be completed properly. The strengths I have: being efficient and organize. I have to have everything a particular manner before I write, perform, or do almost any jobs. Occasionally this can cost me lots of time. The weaknesses that I have are a perfectionist and impatient at times. I was used to working at a substantially faster rate than those around me. Sharing information and interacting with others is when I learn best. Understanding my weaknesses assists me to plan methods to conquer them when I am doing tasks and socializing with others. I must be kinder to myself and less strict about matters being merely so. I also need to be more delicate and comprehensible of others who tend not to take up my perfectionist styles. I also should be patient with people who take longer time to work. Since I have got a tendency to delay works when I do not feel like doing anything, I, therefore, need to create a regular schedule with integrated rewards and times for learning and acquiring assignments done.
