Mary Surratt Proven Guilty Mary Surratt is guilty and was rightfully executed by the government. Mary surratt is guilty because she talked to the conspirators often and she lied to the police. One reason Mary Surratt is guilty is because she was in contact with the conspirators a lot. A lady named Eliza Holahan noticed a man named John Wilkes Booth there many times. Booth is the one that came up with the plan to kill the president, Abraham Lincoln. She said, “ I have seen John Wilkes Booth at Mrs. Surratt’s three or four times”. A man named Louis Weichmann also noticed conspirators came to visit the boarding house often. He could tell that something was up. Yet another reason why Mary Surratt is guilty is because she lied to
Mary Surratt should have been executed or shouldn’t be executed because she was only there to plan the kidnap not to kill the president. She only planned to kidnap the president not to kill Lincoln. Mary Surratt didn’t also kill Lincoln booth did.She also wasn’t there when the murder happened. She planned and gave booth gun,but not to kill Lincoln.
Mary Surratt should have been executed. Mrs. Surratt helped with the the plot such as helping with the kidnap, the package delivery, lying to the the authorities and supplying the weapons, That is why she should have been executed . Mary Surratt supplied the weapons that were in her tavern (source 1). This shows she got the weapons took them to the tavern and that's what they later used to kill Lincoln, she had them in the tavern which was not smart to keep the weapons at the tavern. Mary Surratt delivered a package to Booth (Source 2).
The Guilty Party Mary Surratt should have been executed because she helped kill the president. Mary Surratt was not just caught for bringing the guns, there was also evidence that she knew many of the conspirators. One reason she is guilty is Mary Surratt brought guns to the tavern which were later later used to kill the president. In the text it reads, “According to him, on both occasions she inquired about “Shooting Irons” previously deposited by her son” (Source 2).
How do we know Mary Surratt is not guilty? Well, in Booth’s journal, Booth had never mentioned Mary's name. He did although mention that he did not want to kill the president but wanted to kidnap him. Not until later on when John Wilkes Booth found out
Why Mary Surratt should have not been executed. On the night of Abraham Lincoln’s assassination, Mary Surratt, who was guilty and hanged for taking part in Abe Lincoln’s assassination. Mary Surratt was guilty, but should not have been hanged. Mary was guilty for lying to the police, and knowing of the kidnapping plot. In source, one, it states that Mary Surratt was guilty for taking place in Abraham Lincoln’s assassination.
First of all when Louis Weichmann gave the package to Mary which contain weapons and binoculars which was meant for John Wilkes Booth. Mary did not know what the package was meant for or what was inside of it. The evidence is Weichmann did not tell her what the package was for or who is was meant for or what was in the package More evidence is that in the letter that John Wilkes Booth gave to a fellow actor. The letter contain the names of the people who were involved in the plot of the murder and Mary Surratt name was not included in the letter proving that she was not or knew about the murder. These were the reason why Mary Surratt did not know about the
Mary Surratt didn’t know that she was doing a crime because nobody told her what was inside the package, so technically she should be proven innocent because if you were to be given a package to deliver to someone not knowing what was in it because it wrapped up and soon you are to be proven guilty of being apart of a crime you would not like that(Swanson, pg16). I feel like she didn't deserve her punishment because not only did she not know what was in the package, she also was not physically a part of the crime.
Mary Surratt was from Maryland and raised on a tobacco farm. She then later became a farmer’s wife. Mary Surratt is said to have conspired with John Wilkes Booth to help kill the president Abraham Lincoln. She was the first woman executed by the U.S. federal government. After husband died Mary moved into her Washington boarding house and rented the tavern to John Lloyd. At the Boarding house John Wilkes Booth came to know the Surratt family. That was the beginning of plotting the kidnapping, which did not happen. The assassination that happens, people thought that she was innocent but what had brought her down was John Lloyd. She had a very quiet life until the assassination happen everything went downhill. Her own people that work for her went against her.The person she rented the tavern told the judge about some guns that she had hid for
Mary Surratt was the defendant among the executed that received a punishment far out weighing her role in the crime. Mary Surratt was convicted of conspiracy in the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln in 1865. She was sentenced to death and became the first woman to be executed by the U.S. government. Mary Surratt was the mother of John Surratt who was a conspirator that helped John Wilkes Booth plan Lincoln’s kidnap and later, his assassination. With the help of Chasing Lincoln’s Killer, “Lincoln and the Writ of Liberty,” and the movie The Conspirator, it can be proven that Mary Surratt’s punishment was unjust. Mary Surratt received a punishment far worse than what she deserved because she was innocent, blamed for her son’s actions, and she did
Larson does show to have posed her own questioning of Surratt 's role. She states that "new information {is} uncovered every day" (134). Mary is clearly established as not only guilty but more highly involved than anyone has given her credit for thus far.

12. A very popular conspiracy is Marilyn got murdered by the F.B.I or the C.I.A . people think this because the Kennedy brothers loved her both very much and the F.B.I/C.I.A had supposedly planned to kill her to upset the Kennedys.
Two Murder Victims. One trial. One Unsolved mystery. These are the components of Lizzie Borden’s murder case. The trial of Lizzie Borden is a complex one, but it is vital to discuss because Lizzie’s charge was dropped and got away Scott free and the murders have been unsolved for about a century. Very many people today believe that Lizzie Borden did it because she said she did not like her step mom and so went on with killing both of them. In my opinion, Lizzie is guilty because what is said in her account and because of what she said in her inquest.
