There were many important people during the Renaissance Period, and one of the most important was Michelangelo.

Michelangelo contributed many things to our society, especially to us Catholics. He painted to roof of the Sistine chapel, created the ‘Madonna of the steps’ carving, ‘Madonna and child’ carving, ‘angel’ carving, and many more works of art. To name a few from the Sistine chapel, there is the most famous ‘creation of Adam’, ‘the first day of creation’, and ‘ the prophet Jeremiah’. He also helped to create some amazing works of architecture, for example: laurentian library, and saint peter’s church. Without him, we wouldn't have many beautiful works of art!

Leonardo Da Vinci is one of the most famous artists from the Italian Renaissance. He was not only a painter, but had many talents in sculpting, science, music and architecture. He made amazing scientific discoveries throughout his life, which led to advancements in the field. He is mostly known for his paintings, the Mona Lisa, and The Last Supper. I believe Leonardo Da Vinci compares well to Albert Einstein. Both Da Vinci, and Einstein were very involved in science, and discovered many amazing things. I think Albert Einstein is important because he developed the theory of relativity, and the mass energy equivalence (E=MC^2). Leonardo, like Einstein also studied physics. He used physics to help create many of his inventions. While Leonardo kept private journals, Einstein wrote many scientific essays that showed his studies. He sent these off to many scientists to have an experts opinion on what he theorized. Both of these men studied many interesting, and helpful things that evolved science into what it is now.

The Renaissance was also known as the Italian renaissance which was a spread of history throughout Europe. Throughout this time, individuals expressed their talent through art, architecture, and science. Most of the individuals that freely expressed their talents during this time are, Michaelangelo, Leonardo Di Vinci, William Shakespeare, Raphael, and Donatello. Raphael should be considered the most important person during the renaissance, because he was a skilled painter whose paintings stood out more than other artists due to the his realistic features used in paintings.
