Over my high school years at Waukesha North, I have had a very diverse and fun experience. From my sophomore year when i started working and earning my own money to my freshman year when i joined marching band. One of the most difficult decisions I had to make was which high school I should attend. I understood that this was going to be a major descsion that would set a path for my life There were two high schools that I was considering. Being involved in clubs and activities while at DCHS has allowed me to grow and mature as a person and as a student. There are many reasons I picked Hutchinson Community College to attend this semester. The first reason was for sports. During my senior year of high school, I thought to myself that I do not want to be lazy and do nothing at school. Therefore I decided to go back into cheerleading. One of the Hutchinson Community College cheer coaches showed interest in me. However, I was undecided on which college I wanted to go to until a cheer recruiter came to me. Opportunities I have been lucky enough to have. Currently I am president of The National Honor Society, Environmental Club, the Yearbook editor and Debate captain as well as a commissioner for the Bergen County Status of Women. All of which I treasure with my heart. In each and every one lays my blood, sweat, and tears. Those hallways have seen me endeavour some of my greatest successes and my even greater failures. My most favorite part about Belding High School is the staff’s ability to build relationships with their students. I have never felt like just another kid in any of my classes. Becoming a part of the student body at my high school, Middletown South, gave me many academic opportunities, a few examples being AP art history, AP psychology, college level english classes, and many more. The sense of community led to my great appreciation of Middletown. Football games are a rite of passage when going to high school, and I am so glad I got to experience those events. Also, joining of my school’s choir and field team made me immensely grateful for the camaraderie everyone takes part of, in and out of school. Living in Middletown and attending Middletown South has not only given me great joy, but a new perspective on life. As far as I was concerned, I believed my entire life would be spent in New York, and would never know anything else. Instead, I had the chance to branch out and live an unfamiliar lifestyle.
