Furthermore, this plan would restore an inspiration in many students to stay in school and motivate other people to go back to school. Older people who couldn’t go to college or dropped out would be inspired to go back and achieve their dream of obtaining some type of college degree. According to Rosabeth Kanter, "Imagine that future: fifty- and sixty-somethings gathering on a college campus for a year or two of advanced study…to eradicate diseases, end poverty, reverse global warming, raise literacy rates” (qtd in Neal). This elaborates on the wisdom and experience that older people have; they just need the knowledge and credits to take their leadership to the next level. In conclusion, higher education is very important towards
Going back to school has definitely been a great challenge for my family and me. I had to learn all over again, to juggle between school, work and family. Leaning how to write a paper in the APA format was initially a struggle. I am so glad that I decided on going back to school. I did not realize the difference and importance of having a BSN vs ADN degree. According to Wagner, there will be “greater opportunity for career advancement, improved prospects for job mobility and security and higher potential earning” (as cited in American Sentinel, 2013, para 2). I have so many reason why I wanted to attend DCCC and each decision that I make at DCCC is that I’m gonna face it till the very end of my courses. I always wonder how can I get a step further in life and how can I get my stuff done and start early and there was an option that was given to me in my 8th grade year and it was a sign up for an orientation for Yadkin Valley Regional Career Academy a school where you can learn how to start you career and be professional looking/acting when applying for a job that suit you better. I came to Yadkin Valley for orientation where you can check the school out, but I had a little problem I didn’t have my glasses so couldn’t really see how the school look because my eyes were blurry, but I notice that I really didn’t need to see just listen to the teachers and how they talk and communicate and how they tell us what we be learning and discover while we are here at Yadkin Valley and what they have in store for us and then I heard a
My reasons for returning to school may seem a bit selfish but let me explain. I have been an EMT and Paramedic for the past 28 years. The areas for advancement in this field are far and few between. Although I have over 10 years of experience as a supervisor, to be considered for a Director position, a Bachelor's Degree is required and here I am.

I would like to attend college because I want to be able to demonstrate not only to myself but to my family that we can do what we set ourselves to do. I would to do go far in this life and accomplish my life goals. Without college, I will not be able to do my goals. My goals are to graduate from college, one day own my own land so that I can own my own agricultural business, and have my home there too, and I want to be a high school Spanish teacher as well. Another reason as to why I want to attend college is that I want to be able to show my little sister that anything is possible, we can do whatever we set ourselves to do, as long we do not give up we will be able to accomplish great things in life. My teachers have also been a great influence
At my age, most woman in my home town cannot be able to attend college. Both financial and traditional issues are the reason that prevent woman from seeking further education after high school. One of the first colleges ever created was established in 1636 by the vote of the great and general court of Massachusetts Bay Colony, and was called Harvard (Harvard University). Many teenagers believe that college can be very difficult so they forget about the benefits that a person receives after attending. Not only teenagers believe this but also many adults that did not have the opportunity to attend college. They believe what other people say about college without never trying it out and what they say about college is that it is difficult, boring and tiring of the work. People should go to college for greater success because it gives a better chance of landing a job, increases a person’s income, and gives people a chance to network.
I first attended Olympic college as a running start student in 2011, and while I’ve never been the best student was determined to succeed in getting my associates by 2013. I met my goal, and after graduation I transferred to Montana State University in Bozeman. Before I arrived in Bozeman though my health had begun to deteriorate. By december of that year I ended up in the city's hospital, much to my misfortune, on finals week. The transition to college, on top of dealing with chronic depression, and having come out as transgender (and having begun that transition) weighed on me to where I could no longer handle it, and I tried to end my own life.
As a return student, there were many obstacle I remember during my two years of college however, the harder things got the more ambitious I become until I reached my goal, and successful graduating. Going back to school after a long summer can be tough for many children and teachers! Students who are going into kindergarten may be extremely nervous about school along with their parents. This article gave wonderful ideas on how to conduct your efforts concerning the first day back to school. Most of the points in the article to me, were on the border of crossing the line of professionalism into the personal aspect of the teacher-student relationship. My favorite point the article was to great your students with a warm smile. Stockman (2015) believes that when you smile and really get to know your students it shows them that you care about them, and not just their grades. I see this point being put into action every Tuesday and Thursday.
I am Daniel Cabrera and currently live in Bradenton Florida. I’ve been attending Keiser University since August of 2012 and only need two classes to finish up my Bachelors in Criminal Justice. I completed my first 60 credits at the Sarasota Campus and then transferred online for my last 60 credits. It has been a tough journey, especially with my full time job, but it has been worth the while. When i finish my education at Keiser University, I have plans to move to Denver Colorado and work for the government. In addition, return to school for my Masters at the University of Denver. I’ll see how everything goes. As far as the cultural diversity is concerned, I live in the westernmost part of Bradenton, which is only 5 miles
Single parents have tougher challenges than other students. It is not easy trying to raise babies while working a full-time job and go to school. I had no support and people told me I was insane for trying to finish college. It caused me to doubt myself and believe it was true. My babies changed my fixed mindset to complete my goals for not only them but for myself. I decided to come back to college to inspire, be more qualified and open a business.
We all remember how exciting it was receiving emails and postcards from different colleges during our junior and senior year of high school. Touring the school on open house was exciting because they fed you and gave you prizes along with the speeches on why we should choose that school. We also took advantage of the waived fees to turn in college applications. They basically made us feel desired and unique. Little did we know is that they were investing in us, hoping that we would choose to attend their school. Why? Because they wanted our money. Universities act like businesses. Slowly, but surely they get us in debt with loans because tuition is extremely high. What's their excuse? We get what we pay for. I don't think that the cost of attending a school should dictate the type of education we receive.
