Every country has a sport that they find most interesting. Due to the nationwide involvement, this sport will result in a great amount of revenue, and a common form of entertainment. In America, it is evident that this sport is football. No other sport pulls in the same amount of revenue, media and nationwide attention than football does. It is popular in all age groups, and is the staple of sporting events to attend while students are in high school and college. Football is the greatest sport in America because of the business it has created, and the national draw that has developed from it.
Football is a sport known for the excitement it brings to the audience and to the players. This sport is being played around the country professionally, and throughout colleges and high schools. With all the tackling, screaming, touchdowns, and energy football produces, people either love the sport or find it to be too dangerous. Many people who believe football to be a dangerous sport especially fears the danger it puts high school students in. The concern of young lives being at stake just to be a part of a sport makes numerous people question football in high schools. What those people don’t realize though, is that football in high schools is an amazing opportunity for young men (and in some cases young women) to prepare for life and the trials it comes with. Playing football in high school will teach young men to learn to have a great work ethic, make quick decisions to better not only themselves but the others around them, and give them a chance to get athletic scholarships for colleges.
Football isn’t just about going on the field and playing 4 quarters against another team every week. It’s not just those Friday nights going to watch your high school team play. Football is a brotherhood, it’s your second family. It’s making memories that you will have with you for the rest of your life. It’s the hours of preparation, sweat, tears, blood, bumps and bruises and going back out everyday just to give it your all. Football isn’t just a game that i’ve played it’s something that has shaped me into the person I am today.
For decades, American Football has captivated this nation as one of the prime sources of entertainment. With the culmination point, the Super Bowl, attracting more viewership than any other televised event in the country, the sport has seen a tremendous growth since its origination in 1920. In an era of economic struggle, job shortage, and high-cost of living, those with above average physical abilities can find the lure of professional football to be extremely attractive. With the wealth and fame attached to a professional career, many of our youths share the common dream of achieving football star status. In order to attempt this lofty goal, many kids enroll in this contact sport at an early age, often times with the support of their parents.
Jeff Scurran is the head football coach at Carolina Foothills High School in Tucson, Arizona and he wrote an article on why football is a necessity that society can’t get rid of. “We are teaching kids traits desired by many professions, including the military. I took my team on a trip to West Point a few years ago. I wasn’t surprised to find out that every freshman cadet was required to play on an intramural football team. Because in football, we are teaching kids hustle, determination, teamwork, effort, discipline, intelligence, and that hard work pays off.” High school football is one of the only sports that teaches so many traits that are proven to improve your academics, and could eventually assist you in life in general. “Look at the ones who stay, learn, put in the work to develop their technique- and put in the classroom to remain academically eligible. Other sports promote this but the combination of teamwork and toughness in football is second to none,” Scurran says in his article, “These are essential qualities to being successful in life; the intangibles are
One reason why I would allow my son to play football because it can build character “ it's not whether you get knocked down; it's whether you get back up”. You can play all day, and if you get down it don’t matter. What matters if you have the courage to get back up. “If you can believe it, you can achieve it”. No matter what you do, you shouldn’t have to put your mind into it, but believe in what you put your mind to and make it
“High school football is more than a sport to me it’s the way of life. I say this because football helps me become a better me. It keeps me going and always ready to strive for the next big thing. This is one of my main reasons why I love football so much,” senior football player Aaron Mckinnely said.
Kids should not be able ti play football. It's to dangerous because football have more concussions than an other sports or activities. According to Jennifer Shortz, " Should Kids Play Football", in paragraph 10 states that "Football players all ages have suffered from permanent brain damage from repeated concussions even when they've given their brain time to heal". (pg.11). Most kids still play football with a concussion, thats not good for a child to have a concussion while playing football cause it can effect then very badly. Some of the football had concussions that can cause them to have bad memory loss. It may or may not recover with a concussion or suffer with mental issue, such as can't speaking correctly. It takes up to 3 to 4 months

If they want to be a professional football player it is a suitable idea to play football in high school they could get experience in how to play. Playing football can get you scouted by a University. Students will constantly play football they don’t care about the consequences of playing football. Passionate football player will play until the end.
“Football is an honest game. It’s true to life. It’s a game about sharing. Football is a team game. So is life.” This quote by Joe Namath, shows there are many life lessons in football, but the parents aren’t getting the value of it. They are also not thinking of how it is safe or safer by new helmets, coaches, and certified referees.
“ When you invest your time, you make a goal and a decision of something that you want to accomplish. Whether it's make good grades in school, be a good athlete, be a good person, go down and do some community service and help somebody who's in need, whatever it is you choose to do, you're investing your time in that.” was said by Nick Saban. This is reminiscent of the hard times students athletes face. That sports don't help keep your grades up with these three reasons. First, a student could be failing all their tests and get a hundred percent on homework and still get to play. Second, due to sports, athletes may have to skip school which could cause them to get behind in their schoolwork. The third reason is a classmates would have to put
Imagine being member of a football team on the field while the crowd is cheering for their favorite team. You are probably wondering, “WOW, I never thought that I will be part of this team.” Football is not for everyone and being part of a football team does not mean that you are going to be in the spotlight. A person can learn much from playing football. Football teaches strength, discipline, and how to be a team player.
There are many benefits of playing football some of them is that it helps with one’s mental health in many ways. Another reason is that it helps with one’s work ethic, and the final reason is that it helps one stay in shape and physically fit.
My passion for the game of football went undiscovered until my senior year. I’ve played football for as long as I can remember. From playing flag football in third and fourth grade all the way up to my senior year of highschool, it has always been a part of my life. I always found myself doing something football-related, whether it be playing it with friends, watching it on TV, or playing it on the PlayStation. To me, football is a way of bonding with friends and family. This sport brings you closer as a team, and it’s a way of making memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.
